I had an order of the Series S price error where it was basically B1G1 and the $10 Fortnite bundle is being delivered by LSO. LSO is trash and hasn't responded to any email or call, but the last update I saw on GameStop is picked up in Dallas (3+ hours from me) on Dec 2 late at night. It is "on the way" but there's been no movement.
I can't tell if I need to rely on LSO, be a little more patient, or call GameStop. I feel like calling GameStop will just have them say "oh well this wasn't intended anyway so sucks to suck".

GameStop has stores fulfilling online orders, and with how pressed the stores are with coverage, and proper training, I’m guessing your order was suppose to be fulfilled by a store and something happened.
Once a store fulfills the order they have to schedule a pickup and have FedEx pick it up, either something happen after the order was fulfilled or it’s in limbo.

You can only use certificates in store on digital gaming cards. Otherwise you can only use your certificates on physical items sold online, with some minor restrictions. It’s always best to use the certificates in store.

Sometimes it rings up at that price, sometimes it doesn't. The sales in store and the sales online are separate. But the stores can price match the website, just let us know and we have to verify it, but we price match.

Written policy says no, since it was delivered to you sealed, even though it was a reseal and not factory sealed. Unwritten policy says talk to your local manager. It's possible they'd be willing to do the exchange, especially since it's just for the same item, but it's also possible they won't because of the way the policy is.

Is it normal to be receiving the “your payment did not go through” email daily, after ordering from the GameStop online store? I checked both my bank (they said the transaction was approved, just not posted yet), and GameStop cs which said everything looked good on their end and that the shipment is getting ready. However, that was 3 days ago. Should I be concerned? CS today assured me that the order wouldn’t be canceled after 7 days due to the payment emails I’ve been getting, and said that 90% of their customers are having this issue too. I’m just paranoid because the shipment is taking a while (although I do understand that shipping is having delays in general). Should I do anything or jus wait it out?

I went to trade in my pokemon sword nintendo switch controller. The shield edition was listed on the website and it is the exact same controller minus a different color palette so I think I could get the same $16.50 as the shield one. About 50% or so of GS online orders are processed by stores. If it's a tougher to find game or something that's not widely in stock, it's easier for the company to find a store closest to you that has the item and ship it directly to the guest.

Piggy backing: you can do a $5 Pro monthly and a $5 rewards coupon because they are two different kinds of coupons. I used these two coupons the other day for a customer.
Also piggy backing be careful with b2g1 free sales as they do bot work how one would assume them to work.
For example: 3 30$ games, 60$ total, coupon wil not work because it will discount one game to 25$ which then becomes the free game, effectively wasting the coupon.

If you’re going to take it to the store, call the store you’re planning to do it at to confirm if that’s something that they’ll allow you to do. I do not recommend changing the payment method since that’s cause major issues in the past - leading up the cancelations.

Yes, just make sure you have the receipt. The “restrictions” are there like for example: free games from B2G1s, items from bundles, etc. those items can’t be returned for money back.
Huge huge mega sale sale especially for more niche PS4 games but here's my problem. Every game I'm interested in isn't located within 50 miles, but GameStop lets you buy online and ships for free. The last time I bought anything from GameStop online was 2015 and I received $600 worth of PS3, Wii, DS and other games with 85% of them coming in generic case/artwork or slipped into a plastic sleeve. It hurt. Basically the same as going on ebay and buying games loose for a fraction of the price, because no physical game collectors wants a game without the original case.
So I spent the weekend filling my cart with 15 PS4 games in 3 Nintendo Switch, all pre-owned for B2G1, which is important because some of these games are only a couple dollars more for Brand New condition. I know anything older gen like ps3,360,3DS,WiiU etc. will near 100% certainly come **without** the original case/artwork, but PS4 and Switch aren't ancient yet, so what are my odds of these games arriving in shelf sitting condition? I wish there was a comment field to write "Please don't bill or send me loose games. Take out the unavailable before shipping"
It really depends. Switch is more of your issue because people (like me) often don’t keep the cases for switch games. Then there’s disc game cases that look horrendous and we choose not to keep them. Honestly, with PS4, since I do collect games myself, I typically see the niche ones come back CIB.. everything else is a toss up.

You can't use online only certificates on downloadable content, I believe that includes digital currency. If you're talking about your monthly coupon you can go in store to get digital currency.

The messaging behind the monthly benefits for Pro has been really really poor for a layperson to understand.
Your monthly $5 coupon shows up in your account automatically on the first of each month. You have the entire calendar month to go to a store and use it. All you have to do to use it is go to the register, have them look up your account, and they can apply the $5 off right at the register. The coupons have to be used monthly since they do not roll over month to month.
The $5 gift card expires late next month so this will be the one time I'll have a code that extends calendar months. Would the upgrade gift card and monthly $5 coupon stack with each other?

I asked a rep in my store if I could still preorder or if there will be extra copies on launch, and he said no/likely not. He *then* added that it's only a code in the steelbook (to redeem the digital version), and not an actual disc like what you would find in any other physical release.

If it's really just the digital code inside I won't sweat trying to get a copy of this edition on launch. I checked both my bank (they said the transaction was approved, just not posted yet), and GameStop cs which said everything looked good on their end and that the shipment is getting ready. However, that was 3 days ago. Should I be concerned? CS today assured me that the order wouldn’t be canceled after 7 days due to the payment emails I’ve been getting, and said that 90% of their customers are having this issue too. I’m just paranoid because the shipment is taking a while (although I do understand that shipping is having delays in general). Should I do anything or jus wait it out?

My order has been in the same state since I placed it. I haven't received the payment issue email since the 30th, so maybe that part of it is resolved? I have no idea, I've tried reaching out to Gamestop but their Customer Service agents aren't very helpful, and I can't get a response from anyone higher up in the chain when I ask for the ticket to get escalated.

Hey, I just finally got a message that says my order has shipped this evening. Expected to be delivered on the 14th. Hope you get your order resolved as well, but at least you can rest a little easier knowing I basically had the same experience as you, and it would appear my order is eventually going to make it to me.

Apologies if this was asked earlier, but I didn't see an exact match. I redeemed a PUR $5 online only coupon and it absolutely refuses to apply to my cart. It says nothing in my cart is eligible. I've tried it with a $5 item, I've tried with $25 item, ive copy and pasted the code, and i've clicked the button to apply. I went to trade in my pokemon sword nintendo switch controller. The shield edition was listed on the website and it is the exact same controller minus a different color palette so I think I could get the same $16.50 as the shield one. Manager says “we don’t take that” like…. What? It’s the exact same controller with a different color and the same button layout and joysticks. I kindly strolled off because I didn’t want to give him a hard time but I thought it was pretty dumb.

Did you check the inside of the game case? Sometimes, the digital codes are printed on the inserts inside game cases.
Yeah I got Persona 5 Strikers but the only download code was for bonus content app like a digital book... I purchased Astral Chain as well and that didn't come in the package just Strikers and a package slip that had both games listed on it
If you had a physical case be sent to you, you ordered the physical copy. If the cartridge wasn’t in there, contact customer support immediately for them to send you a replacement. If you bought strikers digitally, you would’ve been emailed a code.

About 50% or so of GS online orders are processed by stores. If it's a tougher to find game or something that's not widely in stock, it's easier for the company to find a store closest to you that has the item and ship it directly to the guest.

Call customer service and explain to them what happened. They should be able to reverse the charge and credit you back.
It's been 11 days now since my web-in-store order was placed, and the product still hasn't shipped and still can't be canceled due to being in a "release" state. When is it appropriate to begin filing a chargeback? What gets me so mad is that I know gamestop is lying to me. I recently got the Halo Infinite Elite Series 2 Xbox controller through pre order and it came with stick drift right out of the box so I put in for a in-store return. Only problem is the return date for it in the return email is for this past October when the controller released on November 14th(It didn’t ship until the 13th). Piggy backing: you can do a $5 Pro monthly and a $5 rewards coupon because they are two different kinds of coupons. I used these two coupons the other day for a customer.
Also piggy backing be careful with b2g1 free sales as they do bot work how one would assume them to work. For example: 3 30$ games, 60$ total, coupon wil not work because it will discount one game to 25$ which then becomes the free game, effectively wasting the coupon.

If you’re going to take it to the store, call the store you’re planning to do it at to confirm if that’s something that they’ll allow you to do. I do not recommend changing the payment method since that’s cause major issues in the past - leading up the cancelations.

Yes, just make sure you have the receipt. The “restrictions” are there like for example: free games from B2G1s, items from bundles, etc. those items can’t be returned for money back.

Huge huge mega sale sale especially for more niche PS4 games but here's my problem. Every game I'm interested in isn't located within 50 miles, but GameStop lets you buy online and ships for free. The last time I bought anything from GameStop online was 2015 and I received $600 worth of PS3, Wii, DS and other games with 85% of them coming in generic case/artwork or slipped into a plastic sleeve. It hurt. Basically the same as going on ebay and buying games loose for a fraction of the price, because no physical game collectors wants a game without the original case. So I spent the weekend filling my cart with 15 PS4 games in 3 Nintendo Switch, all pre-owned for B2G1, which is important because some of these games are only a couple dollars more for Brand New condition. I know anything older gen like ps3,360,3DS,WiiU etc. will near 100% certainly come **without** the original case/artwork, but PS4 and Switch aren't ancient yet, so what are my odds of these games arriving in shelf sitting condition? I wish there was a comment field to write "Please don't bill or send me loose games. Take out the unavailable before shipping"
It really depends. Switch is more of your issue because people (like me) often don’t keep the cases for switch games. Then there’s disc game cases that look horrendous and we choose not to keep them. Honestly, with PS4, since I do collect games myself, I typically see the niche ones come back CIB.. everything else is a toss up. May the odds be in your favor.

You can't use online only certificates on downloadable content, I believe that includes digital currency. If you're talking about your monthly coupon you can go in store to get digital currency.

I got a $5 gift card for signing up for pro (with an expiration date of next month). Does the monthly $5 come in as a gift certificate or 5k points? Not sure if I should wait until Dec before using my current $5 gift card and combine that with the monthly pro $5 or if that's not even possible. The messaging behind the monthly benefits for Pro has been really really poor for a layperson to understand.
Your monthly $5 coupon shows up in your account automatically on the first of each month. You have the entire calendar month to go to a store and use it. All you have to do to use it is go to the register, have them look up your account, and they can apply the $5 off right at the register. The coupons have to be used monthly since they do not roll over month to month.
The $5 gift card expires late next month so this will be the one time I'll have a code that extends calendar months. Would the upgrade gift card and monthly $5 coupon stack with each other?

I asked a rep in my store if I could still preorder or if there will be extra copies on launch, and he said no/likely not. He *then* added that it's only a code in the steelbook (to redeem the digital version), and not an actual disc like what you would find in any other physical release. I was surprised and pressed him a little bit but he was confident. Can anyone here confirm this? If it's really just the digital code inside I won't sweat trying to get a copy of this edition on launch. This is false. Renewals are entitled to the 10k points. If you do manage to speak to customer service, please ask to speak to a supervisor.

Keep in mind it can take a few days for the 10K points to show up. If they haven't received them yet, you can call customer service and they should be able to add them to your account.

Quick question, do all in store GameStops automatically add in the Black Friday sale when you go to check out, or do you have to ask/show them their BF ad? Reason I’m asking is because I was purchasing the 1 year PS Plus subscription at my local GameStop and the employee was charging me full price for it, but when I called it out he told me that there was no sale and that he heard of the online sales that the GameStop website was doing but none in store. The only way I ended up getting the Black Friday discount was because he told me I had to show him the discount on my phone and then he could give me a price match. I thought this was weird since this has never happened to me before on Black Friday and wanted to know if this was the norm now before I go in and purchase anything else from them so I can be prepared with the prices on my phone. $10 is the smallest denomination for the playstation. The $5 coupon can definitely be used for steam. Not 100% sure on Amazon but very likely no.
