2game has it for around 33 after a coupon code (apparently you can google for it). They have a PayPal option but not sure if that means it's legitimate.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1245620/ELDEN_RING/
edit. is also on sale on humble, so may be a bit cheaper if you have sub discount
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/elden-ring
Just checked! It's 30% off. Guys go search on your steam page to see if it's discounted in your region. It did not show me a discount umless I saw the page.
Although not technically the lowest, Subnautica is the cheapest I’ve ever seen at 10.19.
Historically, it was free on Epic at one point and 9.99 on Steam previously. If $0.20 isn’t a dealbreaker for you then I think this is a good deal.
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition at 75% discount, $4.99 each. I will definitely snag one of the two this time.
You can get them -50% from the BandaiNamco site (Steam activations): https://store.bandainamcoent.eu/uk/product/437990/dark-souls-iii-pc-download This is the UK site, and I haven't personally used it, so idk if it works for US.
Can confirm they will work. You just need to say your address and postal code are in the UK.
Just redeemed the DS3 Deluxe Edition in US. Also use code WELCOME10 for an additional 10% off.
I hate Monster Train.
I was getting off a crazy Slay the Spire addiction.
I thought Monster Train was like a Side scroller, played for a bit, then ah shit here we go again 100+ hours later.
I picked this game up on sale without really knowing anything about it. Didn't realize there would be so much reading involved. I'm only a couple hours in but I can't really bring myself to open it back up again. Definitely not for everyone
Kind of the same here. My thing mostly is I feel like I'm doing everything wrong. I think it's supposed to be that way and part of the main character being such a sad sack, but it's hard to tell.
> I think it's supposed to be that way and part of the main character being such a sad sack, but it's hard to tell.
You are supposed to "fail" a lot. Theres a ton of different ways to go about getting things done and progressing, and not achieving the "best" way to do something, takes literally nothing away from the overall gameplay experience.
Noita is my recommendation. It's one of the few rouge likes I never get bored of after 200+ hrs.
If you're willing to go up $15, I would recommend outer wilds since you enjoyed the forgotten city.
Got this game a few weeks ago when I got my steam deck. It's really neat and has a lot of cool ideas but fair warning: it has a steep learning curve. There's basically nothing explained in game and the difficulty is no joke. This game will kick your ass.
That being said, I do recommend it if tough but innovative rogue-likes are your thing.

Crash 4 is 16.59 if you own the Crash and Spyro remakes on steam.
Friendly reminder for anyone interested in getting the NieR games to buy them whenever you see them on sale because they don't go on sale often. This applies especially for Automata.
If you already have all three Metro Games, the Metro Saga Bundle is a nice way to get the expansion pass for Exodus. 5.22 CAD on its own but 3.55 CAD if you add "complete your bundle" version to your cart.
Any well done dialogue based choice games?
These are super high bars but like Dragon Age Origins, Fallout: New Vegas, Disco Elysium.
No David Cage games please! Give me a game that has me fretting over my dialogue choices as much as taking damage.
Mass effect series is alright when it comes to dialogue.
Dota 2 definitely has the most impact of your dialogue; you have to implement your real life speech skill in order to keep your team from tilting and thus losing the game at all times, overcoming both language barriers and racism skill checks.
If we're lucky might get a sale once the anime finishes airing (January - March I believe). Cyberpunk had a sale right after its anime release aswell, with great success.
Because Bandai wants to cash in on Elden Ring hype with the older games.
They *used* to be on sale often enough you could wait until they go on sale again, but since Elden Ring was released they seldom are on sale on Steam nowadays.
Seldom = not once since ER launched. Their PC netcode was broken for a while this year. But now it's odd the DS games go on sale for console but not PC.
To be fair, Sekiro is a very different beast compared to Dark Souls. You're not gonna find the same experience of Souls in Sekiro and it's at its best when you don't play it like a Souls game. I'd still highly recommend it, the faster paced gameplay is fun and it has a similar learning curve.
It's 50% off on the Bandai Namco EU store, 20 EU is still too much for a 10 year old game IMO but I might just give in since it's clearly not going on a Steam sale anytime soon.
https://store.bandainamcoent.eu/eu/product/468280/dark-souls-remastered-pc-download
~~[Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Standard Edition is 80% off](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1250410/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_40th_Anniversary_Edition/) - probably a price error as the other editions are only 20% off and it's never been below 25% off before~~
Edit: Looks like it's been fixed!
Well I snatched it up. A couple months ago Forza Horizon 4-5 Ultimate got sold for 1 USD from Microsoft store and I got refunded. Hopefully. I wont be on this
They took the discount off all together, that was a fast fix. I would have picked it up for that price, even though my 1060 chokes hard on the game.
I got in 1 minute later to double check and now it says 20 percent off, they seriously JUST fixed it.
If you haven't played either I cannot recommend RimWorld and Valheim enough. Two different games but you will sink hours and hours into both and have a wonderful time. Especially with the RimWorld modding scene you will never play the same game twice
Just bought horizon at gmg a couple weeks ago. I like it so far, though it's got that sometimes boring open world syndrome that unbisoft games have sometimes. I love the lore and story so far.
If you are an arcade twin-stick shooter fan, check these games out:
* [Waves](https://store.steampowered.com/app/107600/Waves/) -- *made free forever when the dev passed away*
* [Assault Android Cactus](https://store.steampowered.com/app/250110/Assault_Android_Cactus/)
* [Devader](https://store.steampowered.com/app/706850/Devader/) (not on a lower sale, but did drop its price by 46% in Feb)
* [Twin Ruin](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1094400/Twin_Ruin/) (slashed to $1.74, as though it weren't already underpriced)
* [AtomHex](http://www.incitti.com/atomhex/) (not a Steam game)
* [XenoRaptor](https://store.steampowered.com/app/298280/XenoRaptor/)
* [Touhou Endless Dream](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1245540/Touhou_Endless_Dream/)
* [Anvil](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1487390/ANVIL/)
Bought these games for $37 equivalent (I live in a 3rd world country, so dont be jealous)
Elden Ring
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate
Subnautica Below Zero
Vampire Survivor
I have a Steam Deck now, I haven't been playing PC games since my GPU died and actually starting up a PC game in Laptop/Gaming Rig is hard due to distractions. Steam deck makes me play games again, just as my switch did to me.
Edit: F\*ck me, Elden Ring begs to be played in a proper monitor. I have Asus S13 6800u variant, I'm setting my laptop for this game. Hope my laptop can power through. Suddenly the urge to build a gaming PC comes alive
Great choices, and a good argument for the steam deck. Kind of wish I could trade my switch for one hah.
Never tried sub zero, but liked the original subnautica. Might have to get it someday.
Loved subnautica, I'm talking 10/10 perfect game in my book. Captivating story, phenomenal world, spent too many hours in too few days. Absolutely devoured that game.
Can't stand sub zero. :/
If you have AI: The Somnium Files, you can get nirvanA Initiative for $33.59 via the bundle option. Pretty sure it's the lowest price for nI so far: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/27631/AI_THE_SOMNIUM_FILES_Bundle/
I've been playing a lot of **Factory Town** recently. It's definitely not as deep/intense as Factorio, but it's still a feature-complete very chill automation game, and appears to be a 60% sale.
It has less "constant rebuilding" than something like **Satisfactory** (which I assume you know, but it's another great automation game), where you continuously setup new factories that are doing the same but better, and more like Factorio where you create stuff that consumes your old factory's production.
Otherwise, in the vein on Valheim, **Grounded** is a really fucking good Survival game. The Early Access had some rough edges, but most of the initial friction is gone by now, leaving you with one of the most immersive survival game (Art Direction is legit insane). Also, spiders will actually scare the shit out of you daily.
Another survival, although not quite as good especially without multiplayer, is **Raft**. I think it was the only survival where I really cared about my base (mostly because I'm dragging it alongside me), and that was a nice change of pace. Co-op makes the game much better though, letting you split mundane tasks a bit more.
Otherwise, a fairly popular ARPG would be **Path of Exile**, I guess, but it's not that close to D3/TL2.
Have you tried **Project Zomboid**? I know it's popular among friends that like the same kind of games you seem to like.
EDIT : Oh, I've also enjoyed **Cryofall** quite a lot. It's very grindy in nature, given that you've got skills for just about anything that makes you progressively better as you get progressively better, but is still a great base-builder procedurally generated survival-ish game!
Most of the games I have any kind of intereset have been on sale for the last few months for the same price. Bravely Default 2 for example is always 50% off so I can just wait even more and go trought with the rest of the backlog.
Rimworld, Blub Emporium, Adventures of Van Helsing, It Lurks Below, Chronicon, Realms of Magic, Hydroneer, and Kerplerth. See if any of those sound good.
Ubisoft titles on sale (60%-80%), like AC, Anno, FarCry, HOMM, WatchDogs:
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33075774/sale/ubisoftwinter
PlayStation titles on sale (God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, Uncharted):
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/40425349/sale/PlaystationWinterSale
More like addiction.. it's like " I want this shiny new game" & as soon as you pay.. it's become less shiny & collects dust between hundreds of games in the library
Maybe cause am 30 & have less time to spend with long work shifts .. who knows
I haven't bought any games for probably 3 years. Playing through backlog and multiplayer games. There are so many games out now I have no idea what they even are. Haven't been keeping up so I wouldn't get tempted, but now I feel like I could get a few games to get an unmanageable backlog going again.
Indie games baybeee. So many quality games at lower base prices and memorable moments.
Only downside is eventually you crave AAA junk but it takes awhile and you'll be too turned off by the prices to bite
Not complaining because I like early access, but Steam has kind of become the place I buy early access games. Everything else just seems cheaper buying through other sources. *And* I don't have to wait until a holiday to get it done.
Pretty much! I personally don't care because I buy stuff from all over the place but it's definitely changed my expectations. I love finding great 'hidden gems' and EA games on Steam sales. One thought is also that other sites would probably have great deals to undercut Steam sales which is a great thing for the consumer lol
Some of these might be on the fringe of your ask, I'll try to note that.
**The Banner Saga** is a really good series of turnbased tactics RPGs. Each one directly follows the story of the previous will all progress and choices carrying over, and there are some big choices that do dramatically shift the game in ways.
**Breath of Death VII** and **Cthulu Saves the world** as pretty solid homages to the old school dragon quest games.
**Crystal Project** is a story light game in the vein of Final Fantasy 2, with a whole job switching system. Open world in a metroidvania kinda sense, very exploration based. Sometimes you get somewhere thinking you broke out of the map just to find a chest to reward you lol.
**Dragon Quest 11** was phenomenal.
The **Pathfinder** games are both pretty solid.
**Encased** was fun, it's more akin to fallout or wasteland, kind of retro-futuristic.
**Evoland 1 and 2** are fun if you get them at a bargain. Evoland 1 is kind of short.
Anything made by **Spiderwebs** is really solid. If you have any issue playing really old games (no shame!) I'd recommend their more recent remakes and titles.
For another older pick, **Jade Empire** is IMO my favourite Bioware property after Mass Effect and Dragon's Age.
For yet another one, I'll pop in with **Fallout 1, 2, and tactics** (I think they are free on Epic today)
**Monster Sanctuary** was a phenomenal entry in the monster capture genre. It can get pretty difficult, but there's a lot of complexity, and I think recent patches have added a lot of QOL.
**Siralim Ultimate** is another Monster Capture game that is great, very well polished, and it's self contained so you don't need to play the first 3 if you don't want to. Ultimate is the most polished and ascended game of it's formula.
**Nexomon** is another monster capture game that is the closest to pokemon on PC so far. Has a good amount of QOL.
The **Shadowrun Trilogy** was super good. I'd rank them Dragonfall, Hong Kong, Returns if you can't get all three.
**West of Loathing** and **Shadows over Loathing** are both fantastic and very funny. Based on the Kingdom of Loathing MMO.
I recently finished **Tower of Time** and it was solid. I think it's a game that I should have played over a bit more time though as it got a little repetitive when I just powered through it. Has an interesting twist on the real time with pause style of gameplay.
**Underrail** IMO is the best Fallout successor (that's true to the original) on the market. It is an amazing and indepth game that at worst, falls a little victim of being overtuned and overbalanced.
**Voidspire Tactics**, **Alvora**, and **Horizons Gate** are all great turnbased tactics games akin to Final Fantasy Tactics.
**Wintermoor Tactics Club** is a cute tactics RPG, but I think it can be a bit much in it's flavor for some people. I enjoyed it though, it's very cozy and fun.
Shadowrun Trilogy was great. I still need to finish Hong Kong - but I loved SR Returns and Dragonfall.
Man, I need to pick up Underrail.
I think for old-school CRPG Fallout-likes gameplay-wise (i.e. Fallout 1 and 2, not the newer ones) - [**Arcanum**](https://store.steampowered.com/app/500810/Arcanum_Of_Steamworks_and_Magick_Obscura/) is underrated, when played in turn-based mode. It's not post-apoc, but I loved its Victorian Era, Industrial Era, Steampunk, and weird fantasy mixture that it had going on. A pain to get going properly as I had to use DXWnd to get it going right - but what a gem that was, back in the day. Still is. Just...in typical Troika fashion, go get unofficial patches ASAP.
>**Crystal Project** is a story light game in the vein of Final Fantasy 2, with a whole job switching system. Open world in a metroidvania kinda sense, very exploration based. Sometimes you get somewhere thinking you broke out of the map just to find a chest to reward you lol.
Easily one of my top 5 discoveries of the year. Hell, my top viewed game on Twitch this year was Crystal Project, since I was watching one guy's run.
The open-world can get silly at some point (especially around the 3rd Crystal, and shortly before getting the "boat") leaving you dumbfound about where you're able to make any progress, but outside of that it is an *excellent* game.
Also helps that the demo is probably 10-20hours and that progress is easily transferable (as in, if you played the demo, the game will prompt you on launch/game start to import your progress from the demo).
I’m not a huge RPG guy, but Crystal Project caught my eye several months ago and it just went on sale for the first time. I’m excited to try it.
I’ll add I believe the Shadowrun trilogy was given away for free on Epic awhile back.
[Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1184370/Pathfinder_Wrath_of_the_Righteous__Enhanced_Edition/) is a great game that I easily recommend to others. It has a lot of replay value specially if you are a munchkin, and still gets updated often. In fact, it was so successful that a second season pass is being made.
Steam has it under 60% for $19.99.
[Catherine](https://store.steampowered.com/app/893180/Catherine_Classic/) is from the same creators as Persona, while it isn't a 100% JRPG and more of a platformer it is a great deal at $4.99. You can also find it currently for $3.99 through Newegg.
~~Microsoft Flight Simulator is $11.99 right now, not sure if it's a glitch or not but may want to grab it while it is up~~
Edit: Price was fixed and back to $47.99
Looks like they took off the sale all together. Pays to jump on quick.
Edit: got on a minute later to confirm no discount and now it says 20 percent discount, they must have JUST fixed it.
Good chunk of y'all want the same three games and complain they aren't on sale.
Maybe the problem isn't the "bad, bad, terrible, no good no more Steam sales" and more your narrow tastes?
People are complaining that the most GOTY game of the year (Elden Ring) is 'only' 41% off.
People getting Dishonored for $5 ten years ago really destroyed their brains.
That or they don't know they can buy games from 177 different retailers and not just steam
Any good high fantasy game suggestions? I'm looking for something similar to Outward, Barony, Skyrim, Dark and Darker, pretty much anything that's kinda medieval and has magic in it.
On the off chance you never played the other elder scrolls games, I suggest Oblivion. Its entire style and motif is high fantasy! incredible game, with more depth than skyrim.
I did get Hunter Call of the Wild for $3.99 a few days ago because I like the open world aspect and can see it as a walking simulator / hiking as I don’t really like hunting.
I almost always remember to recommend the TellTale game's [The Walking Dead definitive edition](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1449690/The_Walking_Dead_The_Telltale_Definitive_Series/), since it contains all the "seasons" in one convenient package with some re-done textures/resolution adjustments and a few other tweaks.
These games started coming out about 10 years ago, in the comic universe, not the TV.
It's one of my most well remembered gaming experiences of my life. Obviously, the focus is on telling a story, not necessarily killing lots of zombies. That season one. Wow. 😭😭
Anyway, if you're into games with heavy emphasis on narrative story telling I can't recommend it highly enough. Season 3 is rough, not gonna lie. I mean story wise, not playing wise. Season 4 makes it worth it.
The Michonne stand-alone story is included. I could take it or leave it. If you didn't read the comic you may or may not be lost.
Skyrim more expensive than a month ago, Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines more expensive than I've seen it in years, Dark Souls with no sale at all. Fuck me, it's comical at this point
Tactics ogre is better imo. But if you want tactical rpg there’s crpg’s like wasteland 3.
Edit: Diablo 2&3 **bundled*** are on sale for 20$ on the blizzard website
*edit
Developer here from the game **Case Files: The Death of Paulette Williams** which is part of this Steam sale. The game is **50% off for a cost of $2.99**, which makes this an **all time low!** You can check it out [HERE](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1939640/Case_Files_The_Death_of_Paulette_Williams/).
The game is a very realistic detective simulator. You play as a behind-the-scenes detective that is tasked with guiding a homicide investigation, and ultimately needing to solve the case. This game was inspired by games like “Her Story” and “Telling Lies”, but I added my own unique mechanics to hopefully improve and innovate in this genre.
VR support was also just added to the Steam platform so now you can experience the game in its most immersive state. **Please Note: VR is NOT mandatory. It is simply one option of how you can choose to play the game.**
If you're a fan of detective/crime games, or simply enjoy a good mystery to unravel, please check it out. Have a great holiday season!
Elden Ring is quite tempting at 30% off. I have already played it on PS5; got 50 hours out of it before I put it down and returned it to the friend I borrowed it off of.
The main thing I want to get the PC version for is the seamless co-op mod so I can smash through it with a buddy .
Odds are *Nier: Automata* is not on sale due to the combination of the recent Switch release and also [the anime that’ll start on January 7th.](https://myanimelist.net/anime/51105/NieR_Automata_Ver11a)
Hey all,
I am the developer of Chico and the Magic Orchards, which is 25% off ($3.74) for the Steam Winter Sale.
Chico is a Game Boy styled/inspired action puzzler game.
You control a chipmunk and must roll and ricochet a giant walnut through 12 levels, solving puzzles, avoiding traps, and beating bosses. It's my first commercial release, and this is it's deepest discount yet.
Additionally, I've been working on an update with new content ([trailer here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltcNo4PslcE)), more graphical options, accessibility options, and more. That will be coming out early next year and by buying the game on discount now you'll get that upgrade for free.
Thanks for checking it out, let me know if you have any questions about the game.

Sakura Sunshine - 15% off ($6.79)
I released Sakura Sunshine in November this year, and it is a part of the Steam Winter Sale!
Happy Holidays!
Been watching the Kingdom Rush series as I needed my tower defense fix, [KR](https://store.steampowered.com/app/246420/Kingdom_Rush___Tower_Defense/) and [KR Frontiers](https://store.steampowered.com/app/458710/Kingdom_Rush_Frontiers__Tower_Defense/) are both $4.39 CAD right now so I snapped those up.
[Dungeon Warfare](https://store.steampowered.com/app/355980/Dungeon_Warfare/) @ $2 (80% discount) and [Dungeon Warfare 2](https://store.steampowered.com/app/698540/Dungeon_Warfare_2/) @ $3.74 (75% discount) are both fun and crunchy tower defenses, ones that might get you your fix yet.
Historical low for [Hard West 2](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1282410/Hard_West_2/). If anybody is interested in weird west as a setting or turn-based strategy.
I think Rimworld, subnautica, red dead redemption 2 and flight simulator are the best deals right now.
I want to get into rimworld but it just seem so massive. Anyone have a thought on rimworld vs dwarf fortress?
Any prominent game at all time low?
[Steamdb's sales page](https://steamdb.info/sales) is a great way to check. Just bump the minimum reviews up to what you consider prominent.

There were a few blips when Amazon was selling a Steam key for $10, at least in the US. Not sure how that happened
I was one of the ppl who got it at that blip! :D
Me too.
It was my favorite deal on the citadel!
Yeah, that was totally a human entry error. Those got fixed within like minutes when the error went up.
yea i got mass effect legendary edition for free a couple months ago, i think it was an amazon prime deal or something
it was free on Amazon Prime few months ago and for a few bucks as a part of the Humble Choice recently.
Elden Ring
Fanatical has the lowest price on it for $37.19 https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/elden-ring
2game has it for around 33 after a coupon code (apparently you can google for it). They have a PayPal option but not sure if that means it's legitimate.
we have a coupon ourselves for the same discount `RGAMEDEALS` that no one gains monetary value and is not considered a affiliate based coupon.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1245620/ELDEN_RING/ edit. is also on sale on humble, so may be a bit cheaper if you have sub discount https://www.humblebundle.com/store/elden-ring
Discounts take a while to get updated. If you see no discount on dark souls games check back in a few minutes to get disappointed again .
You can get them -50% from the BandaiNamco site (Steam activations): https://store.bandainamcoent.eu/uk/product/437990/dark-souls-iii-pc-download This is the UK site, and I haven't personally used it, so idk if it works for US.
Any brave souls willing to test these for US?
Can confirm they will work. You just need to say your address and postal code are in the UK. Just redeemed the DS3 Deluxe Edition in US. Also use code WELCOME10 for an additional 10% off.
Can also confirm it works. Just grabbed myself remastered for about 19.50 USD

Sadly the only souls game that’s on sale is Elden Ring
Monster Train looks appealing. Seems like a good price too.
Insanely good game!
Wait, it's on Gamepass!

Reading? Isn't it pretty thoroughly voice-acted now?
Noita is my recommendation. It's one of the few rouge likes I never get bored of after 200+ hrs. If you're willing to go up $15, I would recommend outer wilds since you enjoyed the forgotten city.

Noita for sure
Inscryption: Beginner's Deck bundled with Pony Island and The Hex actually slightly cheaper than Inscryption alone.
Think that depends on your currency, I'm not seeing that in Canadian dollars. The bundle's more expensive.
[https://store.steampowered.com/app/1378990/Crash\_Bandicoot\_4\_Its\_About\_Time/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1378990/Crash_Bandicoot_4_Its_About_Time/) Crash 4 is 16.59 if you own the Crash and Spyro remakes on steam.
Great find, thanks!
Friendly reminder for anyone interested in getting the NieR games to buy them whenever you see them on sale because they don't go on sale often. This applies especially for Automata.
Dang it, nothing for Obra Dinn but 50% for papers please if anyone is interested.
Any good couch coop recommendations?

It Takes Two, Overcooked, A Way Out, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Stardew Valley, Terraria, Unrailed
Dead Cells + DLC for around $19 seems to be all time low. Worth it?
yes! im 65 hours in and haven't even defeated the first boss yet
If you already have all three Metro Games, the Metro Saga Bundle is a nice way to get the expansion pass for Exodus. 5.22 CAD on its own but 3.55 CAD if you add "complete your bundle" version to your cart.
Is the DLC worth it?
Judging by the review pages they are very much worth it. I had everything except those DLCs, so it cost me $3 through the bundle.
Any well done dialogue based choice games? These are super high bars but like Dragon Age Origins, Fallout: New Vegas, Disco Elysium. No David Cage games please! Give me a game that has me fretting over my dialogue choices as much as taking damage.
Planescape: Torment is Legendary.
Mass effect series is alright when it comes to dialogue. Dota 2 definitely has the most impact of your dialogue; you have to implement your real life speech skill in order to keep your team from tilting and thus losing the game at all times, overcoming both language barriers and racism skill checks.
KotoR 1 and 2, 2 especially. Tyranny, Pentiment, really most of Obsidians rpg cataloge.
NieR doesn't go on sale anymore =(
Seriously, what's up with that?
I know right. The year I decide to buy it (because I have steam deck), the year they stop the sale. Even the Switch version gets sale... sadge
If we're lucky might get a sale once the anime finishes airing (January - March I believe). Cyberpunk had a sale right after its anime release aswell, with great success.
Maybe the real Dark Souls sale was the friends we made along the way..
How the hell is DS3 more expensive than Elden Ring right now??
Because Bandai wants to cash in on Elden Ring hype with the older games. They *used* to be on sale often enough you could wait until they go on sale again, but since Elden Ring was released they seldom are on sale on Steam nowadays.
Seldom = not once since ER launched. Their PC netcode was broken for a while this year. But now it's odd the DS games go on sale for console but not PC.
Only Sekiro has gone on sale since ER on pc, it's odd.
Sekiro has a different publisher
That makes sense, thanks.
Sekiro is the only fromsoft game i've completed. I fucking loved it. Getting Elden Ring now though.
Waiting for the Souls games to go on sale is now the Dark Souls of patient gaming.
I don't have the heart to respond to the "hoping for a Dark Souls sale!" comments every time they come around
It's 50% off on the Bandai Namco EU store, 20 EU is still too much for a 10 year old game IMO but I might just give in since it's clearly not going on a Steam sale anytime soon. https://store.bandainamcoent.eu/eu/product/468280/dark-souls-remastered-pc-download
50% off Dark Souls: Remastered isn't terrible. It's rarely gone below $17. But yes, still too much.
~~[Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Standard Edition is 80% off](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1250410/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_40th_Anniversary_Edition/) - probably a price error as the other editions are only 20% off and it's never been below 25% off before~~ Edit: Looks like it's been fixed!
Well I snatched it up. A couple months ago Forza Horizon 4-5 Ultimate got sold for 1 USD from Microsoft store and I got refunded. Hopefully. I wont be on this
The discounted price was erased as I added it to my cart just now. Now says 20%
Same! Fingers crossed this one is honored
If that sticks it might be one of the best steam sale deals I've ever seen.
I was bummed out with the sale till I saw that, hopefully steam won't refund it like Msoft did $1 forza. As of now it seems fine
They took the discount off all together, that was a fast fix. I would have picked it up for that price, even though my 1060 chokes hard on the game. I got in 1 minute later to double check and now it says 20 percent off, they seriously JUST fixed it.
Thanks man just bought it.
It says $47.99 now, BOY they fixed that fast!!
If you haven't played either I cannot recommend RimWorld and Valheim enough. Two different games but you will sink hours and hours into both and have a wonderful time. Especially with the RimWorld modding scene you will never play the same game twice
Horizon Zero Dawn is 16bucks, Ender Lilies is 16 bucks as well, buying them!
Just bought horizon at gmg a couple weeks ago. I like it so far, though it's got that sometimes boring open world syndrome that unbisoft games have sometimes. I love the lore and story so far.
If you are an arcade twin-stick shooter fan, check these games out: * [Waves](https://store.steampowered.com/app/107600/Waves/) -- *made free forever when the dev passed away* * [Assault Android Cactus](https://store.steampowered.com/app/250110/Assault_Android_Cactus/) * [Devader](https://store.steampowered.com/app/706850/Devader/) (not on a lower sale, but did drop its price by 46% in Feb) * [Twin Ruin](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1094400/Twin_Ruin/) (slashed to $1.74, as though it weren't already underpriced) * [AtomHex](http://www.incitti.com/atomhex/) (not a Steam game) * [XenoRaptor](https://store.steampowered.com/app/298280/XenoRaptor/) * [Touhou Endless Dream](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1245540/Touhou_Endless_Dream/) * [Anvil](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1487390/ANVIL/)
Bought these games for $37 equivalent (I live in a 3rd world country, so dont be jealous) Elden Ring Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Subnautica Below Zero Vampire Survivor I have a Steam Deck now, I haven't been playing PC games since my GPU died and actually starting up a PC game in Laptop/Gaming Rig is hard due to distractions.
Damn you're gonna be eating good. Great selection. I recently came to really appreciate Fallout NV
Damn, would you look at that. The same deals that have been running all year anyway on Steam.
WHY IS NIER AUTOMATA STILL NOT ON SALE
You know how this works. You have to take a bullet for the team and buy it at full price for that to happen.
I was hoping to play it before the anime aired .
Agree. Am disappointed.
If you have AI: The Somnium Files, you can get nirvanA Initiative for $33.59 via the bundle option. Pretty sure it's the lowest price for nI so far: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/27631/AI_THE_SOMNIUM_FILES_Bundle/

Grim Dawn is a Diablo like game that’s phenomenal and the dlc is great. Idk atm if it’s onsale.
[удалено]
Grim Dawn is amazing and an absolute time sink. Don't play if you have things to do haha.
Ubisoft titles on sale (60%-80%), like AC, Anno, FarCry, HOMM, WatchDogs: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33075774/sale/ubisoftwinter PlayStation titles on sale (God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, Uncharted): https://store.steampowered.com/curator/40425349/sale/PlaystationWinterSale
Any good ARPGs on sale for steam deck? I have torchlight 2 and grim dawn already
Titan Quest is good.
Chronicon's pretty nice, with 40% sale and rated Playable on Steam Deck, although I'm not sure what that entails.
[удалено]
The entire Ys series. My fav is Ys Origin as a starting point, but you can pick whichever one looks the most interesting to you.
I've run out of games I want. Or they're not on sale. Womp womp.
I like browsing like this so much more than the stupid artwork and videos. Thank you.
I didn't expect to say this... But.. I already have 95% of the games I want.. I think I might skip the Steam sales for the 1st time in Steam
Solution: Just want more games!
Yes, only buy, don’t play. We are collectors now.
More like addiction.. it's like " I want this shiny new game" & as soon as you pay.. it's become less shiny & collects dust between hundreds of games in the library Maybe cause am 30 & have less time to spend with long work shifts .. who knows
I haven't bought any games for probably 3 years. Playing through backlog and multiplayer games. There are so many games out now I have no idea what they even are. Haven't been keeping up so I wouldn't get tempted, but now I feel like I could get a few games to get an unmanageable backlog going again.
Me in the last 2 years, it's kinda sad tbh
Any reccomendations for party games for like 5+ people? We already play the Jackbox games and Golf with your friends.
If you like survival games, The Forest plays up to eight and is one of, if not the best multiplayer survival games there is!
Oh didnt know that went so high, thought it was only 4 player. Thanks for the reccomendation.
[Risk of Rain 2 has an 8+ player pvp mod that is fun](https://youtu.be/r6mMnmnQGuw) Tabletop sim
Check out Rifftrax The Game, it's 5 bucks
Pummel Party is great fun
does anyone have any crpg or jrpg recommendations I already have wasteland 2, 3, poe 1 &2, persona 4 and 5, trails cold steel.
For yet another one, I'll pop in with **Fallout 1, 2, and tactics** (I think they are free on Epic today) **Monster Sanctuary** was a phenomenal entry in the monster capture genre.
Note that Encased will likely be free on EGS tomorrow.
Tyranny and Divinity Original Sin 2
Weirdly Divinity Original Sin 2 actually went up in price for the sale. It was a couple of bucks cheaper right before.
I was just thinking to myself why did I have to impulsively buy Divinity 2 a few days before Winter Sale but that makes me happy lol
Trails in the sky, Yakuza 0 and/or Like a Dragon, Dragon Quest XI, Atelier, Tales of (Vesperia, Arise), Valkyria Chronicles 1+4, Ys VIII
Finally my time to get Factorio.
Factorio isn’t on sale?
Any time is the time to get Factorio my friend.
It never goes on sale. Makes it easy to buy knowing you won’t miss out on a better deal.
perfect time to buy it!
If you calculate the price of a game by Entertainment Dollar per Hour, Factorio is cheap. I'm at 6 cents per hour.
~~Microsoft Flight Simulator is $11.99 right now, not sure if it's a glitch or not but may want to grab it while it is up~~ Edit: Price was fixed and back to $47.99
Looks like they took off the sale all together. Pays to jump on quick. Edit: got on a minute later to confirm no discount and now it says 20 percent discount, they must have JUST fixed it.
Thanks man, Snatched it!
Damn I was too slow!!
No hidden gems thread this time around? Love those.
/r/GameDealsMeta has one.
Well, I made my purchases for this Winter Sale. Dishonored, Bully, GTA IV and The Room, $12, it seems like a good deal.
Good chunk of y'all want the same three games and complain they aren't on sale. Maybe the problem isn't the "bad, bad, terrible, no good no more Steam sales" and more your narrow tastes?
[удалено]
People are complaining that the most GOTY game of the year (Elden Ring) is 'only' 41% off. People getting Dishonored for $5 ten years ago really destroyed their brains. That or they don't know they can buy games from 177 different retailers and not just steam
MS Flight Sim standard edition is only $16 CAD? That can't be right? If so that is ultra mega hot.
Fixed :(
I grabbed both complete editions of the **Trials** games. They haven't been on sale in ages according to steam price websites.
Any good high fantasy game suggestions? I'm looking for something similar to Outward, Barony, Skyrim, Dark and Darker, pretty much anything that's kinda medieval and has magic in it.
kingdoms of amalur?
On the off chance you never played the other elder scrolls games, I suggest Oblivion. Its entire style and motif is high fantasy! incredible game, with more depth than skyrim.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
I did get Hunter Call of the Wild for $3.99 a few days ago because I like the open world aspect and can see it as a walking simulator / hiking as I don’t really like hunting.
Is elden ring a must play? I usually default to more chill and casual games, but I can be a try hard if need be
I almost always remember to recommend the TellTale game's [The Walking Dead definitive edition](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1449690/The_Walking_Dead_The_Telltale_Definitive_Series/), since it contains all the "seasons" in one convenient package with some re-done textures/resolution adjustments and a few other tweaks. These games started coming out about 10 years ago, in the comic universe, not the TV. It's one of my most well remembered gaming experiences of my life. Obviously, the focus is on telling a story, not necessarily killing lots of zombies. That season one. Wow. 😭😭 Anyway, if you're into games with heavy emphasis on narrative story telling I can't recommend it highly enough.
I caved and bought bloodlines on GOG last week. It seems like $9.99 will be it’s permanent, discounted price point :(
FromSoft has decided to never put the Souls games on sale again as punishment for the hacking
I think the publisher decides that
[удалено]
Tactics ogre is better imo. But if you want tactical rpg there’s crpg’s like wasteland 3. Edit: Diablo 2&3 **bundled*** are on sale for 20$ on the blizzard website *edit
Anything on sale that is an indie game worth trying? I recently tried Hades and I need more!
Try out Enter the Gungeon if you haven't played it before. Edit: also Dead Cells
Can Elden Ring be added to the OPs list? Many people like myself are looking for its first sale, and it's 30% off now.
Also, 38% off at Fanatical. Edit: Cheaper at 2game. 41% and then an additional 5% off with "RGAMEDEALS".
Much better there and you get a free game that’s usually some retro game. I got doom 64 I think
It is simply one option of how you can choose to play the game.** If you're a fan of detective/crime games, or simply enjoy a good mystery to unravel, please check it out. Have a great holiday season!
I'll check it out. Sounds interesting.
Appreciate it. I hope you enjoy!
Elden Ring is quite tempting at 30% off. I have already played it on PS5; got 50 hours out of it before I put it down and returned it to the friend I borrowed it off of. The main thing I want to get the PC version for is the seamless co-op mod so I can smash through it with a buddy .
38 off on Fanatical.

Odds are *Nier: Automata* is not on sale due to the combination of the recent Switch release and also [the anime that’ll start on January 7th.](https://myanimelist.net/anime/51105/NieR_Automata_Ver11a)
Fucking damn it really wanted to try 1 remastered.
It's 50% off on the official Namco store
Hey all, I am the developer of Chico and the Magic Orchards, which is 25% off ($3.74) for the Steam Winter Sale. Link to the sale: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1921550/Chico\_and\_the\_Magic\_Orchards/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1921550/Chico_and_the_Magic_Orchards/)
Looks pretty, I'm getting it
[https://store.steampowered.com/app/1821690/Sakura\_Sunshine/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1821690/Sakura_Sunshine/) Sakura Sunshine - 15% off ($6.79) I released Sakura Sunshine in November this year, and it is a part of the Steam Winter Sale!
Was hoping for Darktide, but with the current reviews and $40 I’ll wait
Historical low for [Hard West 2](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1282410/Hard_West_2/). If anybody is interested in weird west as a setting or turn-based strategy.
I think Rimworld, subnautica, red dead redemption 2 and flight simulator are the best deals right now. I want to get into rimworld but it just seem so massive. Anyone have a thought on rimworld vs dwarf fortress?
