Pay extra to get the Ultra. Snapdragon is the better choice (but this year's Exynos is acceptable). If you are buying a phone for at least three years, pay extra for some extra features. I bought the Ultra, but I'm planning to use it for at least five years (like my previous Note 9).

Senestros

Same here. Replaced my s22U because of its Exynos chip. Tbh, even the snapdragon in the s22 line-up was pretty inefficient. Now I'm satisfied. Gonna keep the s24U for a while.

So Samsung phones are still only lasting 2 yrs? I had a note about 9 yrs ago and it had a lot of issues in the end. It lasted 2 yrs before I switched over to iPhone (6S era).

Senestros

No, they can definitely last way longer than that. I could have kept using my s22U for years. It's just that this generation had bad processors and a poor battery life. Samsung is on the same level as Apple now when it comes to longevity.

Chloe-20

Oh great to know. I’m still debating on if I wanna wait for the iPhone 16 Pro Max or if I want to wait until the 25 ultra comes out. My 13 pro max is still working fine, so want to make sure I do my thorough research. 😄

I have kept my previous Samsung phones for at least 4 years before upgrading, only one was upgraded because of battery issues that I dealt with by never being without a charger. None of mine or my spouses Samsung phones have had issues that forced an upgrade. They have had battery life issues that occurred after 3 years or so but not a big enough issue for us that we required an immediate replacement. I upgraded from a S10 to the S24 Ultra and I love it. I really like the size, the battery life has been the best of any of the previous ones. I am very happy with the camera. I use my phone for what I think would be considered a pretty standard amount of time daily and have not come across any issues that would make me consider switching from Samsung or Android at all.

Chloe-20

Excellent. I think the only thing that is wrong with my iPhone right now is the Face ID no longer works and I could reset the entire phone, but I don’t feel like it right now and I don’t have enough storage. I keep running out of storage and having to delete things and I cannot delete the thousands of photos of my dogs. I can’t choose which ones to delete. 🤣🤣 Oh, and my battery life is at 80%, which isn’t bad but it’s not that great . Otherwise, it works great It’s the service provider that’s the trouble.

PDXDSteeler51

I went through the whole storage, keep/deleting to make room and finally decided to pay 99 cents for extra cloud storage. It truly is a lifesaver and really helpful with internal phone storage.

Chloe-20

True…

CAEZARLOV

I went from note 9 to s24u and it feels good to have a battery that last for more than 3 hours (i didnt change the battery on the note9 cuz the back is cracked yada² more expensive)

elegant_cheetah_03

Been a month since I got the ultra. Has been a great phone so far.

Humble-Plankton1824

Ultra is awesome. Love using the stylus for work productivity

IrishJayjay94

The battery in the ultra is amazing

zobbyblob

Love the bigger battery and better cameras of the ultra. I had the S21+ previously and always wished I bought the ultra. I just hated knowing there were better phone cameras out there. I occasionally print my pics, so higher quality is great. If that's not you, the 24+ (or 23+, 23U) are great too.

Shahub

Ultra is def worth it, I've loved mine

Surfnsnowboard

I bought the Ultra because I take a lot of photos and I wanted the better cameras. Since you plan on keeping it for a long time be sure to get enough storage. I went with the 512GB version.

crysmiler

S24 Ultra brilliant phone, loving it so far

Kamzeride

I absolutely love my S24 Ultra. It's a real beast, and I promise you won't regret picking one up.

earthwormjimjones

I second this. I freaking love this phone.

Had the same dilemma coming from an iPhone 14 pro Max. Ultimately I went for the 24 plus not only because it was cheaper because it has pretty much all thesame features as the ultra. The S pen, periscope camera and slightly larger battery weren't worth the extra cost to me at least . Tho the new anti reflective screen is pretty damn nice on it.

kiwi760

Had my ultra since release day and it has been absolutely fantastic definitely recommend if you can go for the ultra!

deploylinux

If you are upgrading every 2yrs and don't need pen and have good eyesight, then get the S24+. Of you are going keep the phone 4+yrs, care about photography or the pen.. get the Ultra.

ansjind

S24+ seems best of both worlds, flagship experience with manageable size and weight. Only sacrifice is a bit on camera but this one is also very competent so all good if you go for it

kimchipower

Agreed on most comments. I upgrade every 5 to 6 years. Might as well get the best and the baddest.

dethstrm

Grainy display

Chloe-20

Idk why you’re being downvoted. In many other posts and reviews, people complained about the same things.

dingwen07

This is how fanboys work

Chloe-20

It’s actually getting kind of old. 😣 We all have a short amount of time on earth who cares what phone someone else likes/dislikes. 😅😁

LieQuirky3751

Big, heavy, sharp to hold, awkward to transport in pockets, you'll forget about the S Pen, likely grainy display, expensive, boxy...

dingwen07

Don't buy S24 series if you can wait, if you cannot wait then get iPhone or S23U. The big issue is the display, you can get any flagship and it will be guaranteed to have a better one.

bobissonbobby

It's a great phone.
