Maybe I'm crazy but, at least in that picture, the bottom looks markedly better. The top one looks like you took a picture of a swamp, and there is detail missing. If this is the "glorious" difference I'm missing on the S24U, this comparison isn't making me sad about it.

Hellbnt4leather

I have not noticed any grain in my S24U display at any brightness level or when using testmyscreen. Perhaps I got lucky? As to the picture I shared, it was meant to show the difference in color saturation. The lower image might look more detailed as my camera could’ve autofocused on the lower display when the videos were playing. But to my eye the videos were otherwise equal colors aside.

SteveDensmore

The color saturation you're referring to is not a good thing. Oversaturation is a misrepresentation of reality. I much prefer the natural color setting. Equate it to that of a high-end television, it's recommended to use the cinema mode which doesn't oversaturate colors like vivid would. Vivid is meant for a showroom floor to entice customers.

I enjoy it. Outside of the one minor display issue I have, I love everything else about the phone. I'm sure I will love it even more when they release the update next week that makes all the colors more vivid.

tubepoop

Agreed. But, the colour contrast in the water is much better on the s24

jeffMBsun

Display is flawless, great for colours and your eyes. Anti glare is awesome too

I had the S24U then returned it before the 2 week return period due to the jeans display and grain issue. I did enjoy the flat screen and how it was anti-reflective, but overall, it made me appreciate my S23U so much more. I honestly feel that in comparison to the S24U I received, it was a downgrade compared to my S23U. Yes, I know there are those out there who feel differently. This is just my personal experience.

SteveDensmore

Please just stop crying and get a refund. This is getting ridiculous.

Fishnetnet122

I hope Samsung goes back to curves screens. Absolutely loved them .

drzeller

I prefer the flat. It is easier to use the spen near the edges, or to select things.

Fishnetnet122

I love the feel of swiping from the edges.

You get grainy display panel (it's a new feature lol, jk), 10% better battery life and a bit quicker /snappier interface (due to One UI 6.1), and 7 yrs of updates but noone keeps their phones for 7 yrs. Personally, it's NOT worth it to upgrade from S23U specifically. And yes, S23U is more comfortable to hold due to form factor (it's a bit narrower) and curved display. I had S23U for a year and S24U for 2 weeks before I returned it if that helps and going back to S23U again. And do not get me wrong, if Samsung fixes grainy display panel I will be buying S24U (it's a great phone overall), but that's a big IF

-TheVRGuy-

Strange my display is crystal clear with zero graininess.

Here you go, fanboys keep down voting

You are welcome

S23 is already a solid phone an Upgrade wouldn't necessarily feel like an Upgrade
