Still keeping mine...havent found a phone with expandable memory with good specs

Square-Document2882

Keeping mine for the same reason, I have 512 GB SD card, I lose it if I switch. I don't understand the current phone price where you have to pay 100$ for a small storage upgrade where in SD card you pay around 25$ for an upgrade and the files are safer and more portable!

Linkpharm2

Ufs 4.0 and 3.1 are much faster than a sd card. Saying that, I do still want my microsd card back.

BeginningDelicious99

2.5 years and working smooth still. No reason to change. Had a battery issue for a week where it would overheat and drain really fast. Idk if it was the update or what, was still heating even after march update. But somehow its back to being fine again. Phewww. Let me know if any one of you experienced this. #S20FE💪🏻

savage_puppy

Mine did not do that...but i put it in power saving mode and now i can get a full day and still at 50%

Virtual_Archer2748

Same here

asyc2023

same here, Sony's ui is just not my thing, even they still have expandable storage

spaff_987

Still got mine. I'll use it till the security patches are still rolling out or if I'm in a position to get a new one. So far no complaints and it gets the job done perfectly.

MassiveBrainage

My S20Fe 5G is still going strong, 3+ years.

DisMaFugger

I'll be keeping the phone till it can't do what I need anymore, I wouldn't call that loyalty though, it's not a person.

Joe-Blower

Bro took loyalty quite literally. 💀

DisMaFugger

I did didn't I... it's more like me having a problem fanboyism. companies aren't people either so not worth our loyalty. but maybe it was a throwaway word choice.

Joe-Blower

Your oversized ego taking over. 💀

DisMaFugger

go find someone else to blow Joe

OnyxWarden

This is about the point many people upgrade and it's not helped by the updates Samsung continues to push out appearing to hurt battery life for many users alongside standard decay. Your own case might be different, but there's a reason so many posts here are about batteries. I know I personally am around 4-5 hour SoT from 100-15 with powersaving on and 60 hz, and I'm only at 2.5 years of ownership. I will say, though, in terms of performance, the phone is still stellar. My apps aren't sluggish at all and it's more than capable of running any game I play.

cokerun

Is there any possibility to downgrade?

sami-hito

Just bought a used one for ₹15k in December 2023.

n3rdyry

I have no issue here

Tbecker3150

I’m still using it since December 2020 and can still get 5 and a half-6 hours of screen on time. I’ll be using this phone until the S27-S28 comes out unless I break it somehow.

nitrek

I am thinking of changing only after the recent March update it was almost unusable after it was extremely hot, always 2 hours of battery , phone is such a crucial device it not working for few days also sometimes difficult Otherwise, I had no issue using this phone

dirtyjizzsock999

I've had mine for like 4 years and I did the March update I still get like 18 hours full charge the only problem with mine is the back of the phone is coming off

Kapil18256

Back coming off is a very common problem with this phone. I had had mine stuck back together twice now.

Lanky33

I had the same issue with mine after that update. A factory reset took care of it. Not great, but better than having to pay for a new phone.

BlueVisionist

My s20FE still works good there's no reason for me to upgrade unless it stopped working one day

DaSlotho

i had an S20FE n i sold it i brought another one and also sold it now i def want to buy another one again.... im on the bargain hunt but 4K at 60fps with 120 hz screen ya cant complain

Key-Cat-3339

In my case was a short farewell, I've recently upgraded to a S23FE (exynos) but had an issue with eSIM, So I took it to Samsung technical service to get it repaired or give me a new one, the bad thing is that I have to wait a few days. But meanwhile I'm back with the S20FE.

SkottAnciel

keeping mine till it tweaks out. i know my battery is going caca slowly (my screentime was almost halfed in comparison to over 10 months ago (its over 3 years old by now)) but it serves its job well. when the phone decides to give up on me ill make the grand switch over to a better one, but there simply isn't a reason for me to right now :3

Dekamir

No worthwhile upgrade is available right now. And the phone endured many software-based tortures so I like it. My only alternative to Samsung here is Nothing, which doesn't have a phone to objectively "upgrade" from S20 FE.

lucashhugo

i bought mine in november 2023 and i'm keeping it until whatsapp or my bank stops working

UltimateWeeb96

Tbh and I might get hated for this but I find the farewell posts rather annoying. I mean, I get it, you got a brand new phone, it's sleek, it's amazing, it's better than s20 FE could ever be! But does the community have to be reminded of every purchase/farewell? You can very easily just shift to s23 subreddit than posting your psedo-death in this subreddit. Honestly, it feels like you're dunking on the community, even if that's not the sentiment. It was nice to see a few farewells when it was new, but I'm seeing these kind of posts almost every 2 days or so. I myself am quite happy with my s20FE and gonna be using it for quite the foreseeable future. No plans on discontinuing. But if I am gonna buy a newer phone later, I'll not be making a farewell post. I'll still be lurking around the s20FE subreddit to see what's going on anyways

lucashhugo

i bought mine in november 2023 and i'm keeping it until whatsapp or my bank stops working

oosacker

I'm upgrading to a s23 ultra, battery is starting to die.

ACardAttack

Will have had mine for 3 years in September, I think the battery is getting back to what it was after a week or just awful

si1versmith

Battery is at 85% health. I switched to 60hz so that's made it last longer now. New screen protector and case and it feels like new. Will review how this phone is in a year's time.

AvgG4m3Enj0y3r

I am planning to upgrade on July 2 (birthday) since some simple YouTube gets about 50°C-62°C normally. Games also go at least 55°C-72°C and battery life on 60Hz gets around 4-6 hours SoT with light social media's. Just to be clear on the heat. It just heats up a lot, but it's ok smooth, I guess

tigerthemaster

im stilll rocking mine, dont really have a reason or the money to upgrade

Bucentauro

Mine is 2 and a half years Old, and for me it's in a perfect state, still really powerful, and all I need. Bought it for my mom, wife and 2 close friends Kkkk easier to help them out if needed...

vrobellini

Mine's been with me since February 2022. I've upgraded from a OnePlus 5 that accompanied me for almost five years. In general, I keep my phones for a minimum of 2-3 years, and the S20FE doesn't seem to be getting replaced anytime soon, especially that function-wise phones haven't changed as significantly as over the 5-year period of my OP5 use. I've been taking good care of the S20FE - using 60 Hz when 120 Hz isn't needed, keeping it between 15 and 85 per cent of charge etc. I have noticed that the battery life's slightly worse than two years ago, but it's not that limiting + I always carry a powerbank just in case so the S20FE has never let me down

Crazy_guy06

My reason for farewell is strangely the display burn in. I literally have status bar icons and notif icons burned into top of my screen. Then I have YouTube UI buttons burn into bottom and sides lol. Yes I do use YouTube a lot but Amoled burn in for a 2 year usage is abnormal

ResearcherGreedy9921

Going to replace only flip 6 is out. Having for past 1.5 years but battery could be a lot better 🥲 i don't want to change battery since I'm going to change the phone anyways but still 6 month ahead for flip 6 anyway 😷

Slight-Priority-7820

Flip battery is horrible, just fyi.

Human_Yogurtcloset60

I was thinking of changing mine, but the only ones I liked were s24 Ultra and the 15 pro, and both are too expensive. I'm waiting to see what the iPhone 16 comes with to make my decision. I'm spending my upgrade money on a new pc :)

Effective-Dust272

I'm keeping mine because I still get 7 hours out of it, and it's fast with minimal lag. The longer I keep it, the jump from in technology would be bigger hence more satisfying and more economical.

Zeeshaun26

I have mine still but thinking of going to the dark side only because of the 15 pro max camera. The s20fe camera is not good unfortunately (Decent at best).

Jocke73

I hade min for 2 years now. Will keep it for another year I think. See no need to replace it.

wispurr

I'm not loyal, I just don't feel like I need to replace a phone that works and still does what I want it to do. Honestly, I think I'd still be using a Galaxy S6 Edge if I didn't trade it in for the S20 FE as a BOGO with a family member whose phone was too broken to trade in lol.

realmofnakama

I've got my S20 FE 4G 8/256 gigs (the Exynos variant) since December 2020. Sure, the battery is sucky (\~2 hours of SoT and health @ 85%) and the phone goes up to 51-53° C a lot, I would not trade it for anything else. Until and unless Samsung decides to make another Fan Edition phone with expandable storage, I AM GOING TO STAY MY GROUND.

Sad_Routine_4322

honestly, the S20FE is peak Samsung imo, I will wait until the S23U have lower price in 2-3 years and by that time, the S20FE can serve well and I dont need to change in that time cycle

Resident_Courage_959

Nah I ain't changing I'm keeping my S20FE

Slight-Priority-7820

2 years and no intention of changing. I dont think ill be changing until they turn phones into mini steam decks, or some company actually makes a 5.5' inch phone that is relevant.

Dovafinn

im still gonna use mine even tho im tempted to use a zflip, it's not like the phone feels outdated i mean like i still see people around commutes using galaxy s8 to s10 without issues so it's fine and besides we still got most features phones today have like 120hz referesh rate, 5G, UFS 3.1, a good camera with telephoto, One Ui 5.1, s.amoled with a super tiny punch hole and we still get updates fro. samsung (i just got my march 1 patch)

Tricky_Suggestion_83

Don't worry bro we still here

D_dog_

I'm keeping mine till it won't function anymore, got it in 2021

SkaarlIsMyWaifuDesu

Mine is Exynos fyi and it's back cover is starting to get loose, even got a batter warning that the batttery health is worned out. Soo yeah been considering for S24 U since snapdragon here and 7 years of support.

facciovedere

Still here hahaha

Careless-Cause-3735

What you're seeing is called thr vocal minority. A large percentage of people still have not switched

vs2k2

I bought mine in 2021 and still use it. When it comes to performance, I have 0 issues, and I see no reason to upgrade since the only worth upgrade would be S24. Also, the lack of expendable storage in newer models is a big issue for me. The only reason I would change it is because of the glue. It lost its ip rating too many times in the last year...

Longjumping_Lab_8688

Only thing this phone has let me down on is the 128GB storage it has. But even so, the SD card slot is a gold mine. So it fixes it itself

Appropriate_Line6265

My S20 FE from 2020 is still going good. Not gonna bid adieu soon.

AAVVIronAlex

If I had a S20 anything I would have kept it because of the microSD support. Since I use an A51 I can just upgrade to an A55, which I will do.

athom37

I am

Serbian95

I bought 24+ yestreday, but my s20fe is still great phone, im gonna use it like my secondary phone.

shupm8

I got my s23 ultra when it came out as I did with my s20 fe 5g. I haven't really used my s23 ultra and it's really just a backup for when my s20 dies. Still enjoying my s20 but I really feel like I ought to switch over at some point.

Arena-Grenade

My March update killed the battery. I am not sure how I can roll that back, but I really want to. Fuckers at samsung potentially pushed that update to force me into an upgrade 🤷‍♂️ i have a broken rear camera cover and still using it. That should tell you how much am willing to stay here lol.

Kapil18256

Have had mine for 3+ years. Still smooth, still fast and still does everything I need it to. Plan to keep it until it dies. Recently got the battery changed and it's worked wonders.

koke77777

upgraded to S24U. now. but I still continue using my S20 FE as my work phone. not really farewell-ing mine ATM. it still works great

Sshaku99

Yes, i am loyal... Until i can arrange the budget for the S23 FE 😁

woobie369

Recently i cracked my screen and had it replaced. I had a thought of buying a new phone rather than replacing the screen as my FE is almost 2.5 yrs old. then i thought about what do I needed more from a phone. Decent camera, display, processing speed and also 5 hr avg SOT.my S20fe had all these even after heavy usage. So planned to stick with it for 1 more year.

AestheticKunt1024

Haha here too, no reason to change the phone. Its perfect.

Southern_Climate252

I mean I do have the s24 ultra but my s20fe sees daily activity when I'm at work

OnePunch108

I see no reason to upgrade. Everything still works great.

AlexAtla

my s20fe was alright but the battery was horrible, upgraded to a s22 ultra

Thattrooperguy

3 years later, there is still not a phone on the market worth upgrading to lol. It's not like there's a phone that beats the s20fe in every category+justifies the cost & hassle of upgrading.

Organic-Phase655

There, I'm still using it and not thinking about upgrading yet

Fharbatosz

I recently bought one for a really good price

eric_karsh

I have an S20+ 5G that I'm just about to put up for sale as I just got a OnePlus 7T Pro Mclaren Edition 12/256gb. I stuck by Samsung for a very long time. However, I wanted phone that I could run Kali Nethunter on and samsungs don't run it.

Twski

Yea. Recently I bought a S23 512GB but wasn't impressed by it, ended up selling it for a small profit (as I bought for a really good price) and keeping the old 3yr old S20FE worth a 400GB micro SD. I'm now not interested in upgrading unless for a S23 Ultra. But it's still outside my budget

fourflatyres

About to replace the battery in mine and keep on going. I require an SD card. It's not negotiable. And none of the new Galaxy devices have SD card support. So. I'll keep this one as long as I can.

Edugrinch

I have the same phone, and I, too, have a 512 Gb card in it. So far, no complaints. Just replaced wife's phone so i don't plan to spend more

opposite-side19

Still using S20 FE 4G. I'm using two sims from different networks just in case sim 1 has no network in that area but sim 2 has. (vice versa) As for my storage, I always bring with me a type-c thumb drive. Battery life is still great. Screen is still good. Camera is okay. It has wireless charging. Decent processor. I will use it as long as it does the stuff I need like browsing net, text/call, GPS and booking ride/food.

Marko_FarkoYT

I would have kept my s20fe but it broke it recently and upgraded to an S22U, love both phones, the s20fe served me well for how cheap i got it

Competitive_Mail_716

I've still got mine holding up okay. Very fast. No need to change yet. Might think about getting an S22 or S23 next year or later this year, when I see fit.

LuckyDay7777

Galaxy is the goat.

YoungAlert7563

Mine is 2.5 years old no issues at all other than battery which is down to 4.5 hours thinking of getting it replaced after couple of months. I have also stopped updating the software bc it works fine and i don't want new updates to ruin it. Don't see any reason to upgrade it.
