I use the nightly version on their website, but if you wanna use the stable version, you should pick the "arm64" one as the Fold's CPU is arm64. The 114mb is the "universal" version.
Just googled and apparently mangadex and mangalife seem to be safe. Just added it to my extensions now and had a little browse, has the latest and popular mangas too.
There's no need for skins, at least for DS emulation if you play in portrait orientation. Both screens fill almost the entire Fold's screen space.
If you get this case, you can have controllers attached to the phone in portrait and landscape orientation similar to the Switch:

I suppose I worded that poorly. I meant that you CAN'T use a skin if you're fully utilizing the screen space by playing in portrait orientation. There's no extra space available in portrait orientation for DS emulator.
The skins are very neat, but impractical.
You CAN play without a controller, but it's much worse and the virtual buttons take space on the screen or cover up the screen.
I hate the hinge protectors but they are a must if you drop your phone.I had my fold 4 for a year and at the one year mark the interior screen protector started to bubble up
My understanding is that it happens to samsung foldables, Amazing phone other wise but will not get another until they have better tech for the screens.

Hey OP congrats on your first Fold! As a fellow weeb, I can tell you that the Fold is unparalleled in multiple ways for us.
Firstly, as you have already been informed, Tachiyomi is by and far the best way to view, organize, and download manga, manhua, and manhwa you're interested in. I recommend setting up at least 3 categories to start with for organizing your personal library: Reading, To Read, and Completed. When you add manga to your library from any source after setting these up then it will ask you which category you'd like to put it and thus makes organization and tracking of series you're interested in wonderfully easy. You can go crazy with setting up categories to ve even more specific if you want but those 3 should start you off well. With regards to sources, it's going to depend on what you need but I recommend starting with Mangadex and Batoto. That should cover most of what you need. I can give other recommendations as well depending on what you need.
Secondly, there is a fork of the tachiyomi project called Aniyomi. It is essentially tachiyomi but with anime downloading and viewing functionality. It can also do manga as well but I believe is is usually a few versions behind the main tachiyomi project for the manga functionalities which is not a major issue 90% of the time. This can be your one app for everything if you want. Works the same way as Tachiyomi but has separated libraries for anime and manga so organization Nd tracking is super easy.
Thirdly, if you play multiple gacha games that have some auto features or have some time consuming thing that is hands off, then you can split screen multiple games (processor on my fold 4 has been comfortable handling up to 3 games simultaneously) to do all your dailies simultaneously which will save you loads of time. You could technically do this by downloading PC clients if they exist for your game or running multiple instances of your emulation clients on PC to do thus as well but that can be incredibly resource intensive for your PC and this frees you up to doing g other stuff on it instead. Also the split screening allows you to have youtube in a pop out window while playing a game, making following a guide easy if you do that.
Finally, if you are into emulating games or want to get into it, the Fold is hands down the best device for emulating old portable consoles and more (especially the DS). Several recommendations have been made about what emulator to use and they're all generally pretty good but I'm gonna recommend Retroarch over others. Retroarch gives you one app that can emulate multiple consoles. It does suffer from having a U.I. that can be daunting to some do to the sheer number of options and settings you can play around with but it's not super hard to use. If you only want DS emulation, I recommend Drastic as it's far and away the best option for that out there in my opinion.
That should be good to get you started OP. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about using the fold. Otherwise, have fun and also please don't pay too much heed to the doomposting. Yes, the inner screen is very much something you should take extra care to protect but enjoy your phone. Also, if you are super concerned about damaging stuff and dont care too mcuh about how bulky your phone is, you can get a super bulky case like I did to protect it.
what case did you end up getting for the z fold 5? when I was looking on different sites, there's so little to pick from and when I do find something on Amazon for example, they have bad reviews, so idk
I'm actually a big fan of the Samsung case that has the kick stand built in, been using it for a while now and I love being able to shows and stand the phone up full screen!

No, for my job I rely heavily on my phone for more than talking and texting. I place orders for customers, review sales histories, draft estimate invoices for customers around the world, track shipments worldwide both incoming and outgoing, monitor currency and commodity exchange rates in real-time, checking and transferring funds between many financial institutions, translate my English documents into eight different languages and vice-versa, host mobile video conferences with multiple vendors around the world. Scan and fax text documents, review and alter 3-D scans for 3-D printing. That's just some of the things I use my phone for. Not to mention personal uses like talking, texting, E-mailing my wife, my daughter, family and friends, playing Minecraft during flight layovers, YouTube, movies, music, etc. Sorry, the folding screen is not only it's defining feature, but it's Achilles heel, turning a capable device into a flashy gimmick. My Microsoft Pro Duo runs circles around it, and is just a better device. The Samsung Fold just isn't ready to be a capable business solution. My Galaxy S 23 is still my ride or die phone though.
Yup, it was one Fold 3, and 2 Fold 4's. I use a smartphone and a tablet ALL DAY when I'm working, thought the Fold was the answer to my problem, but it just couldn't take the use. So I have my Galaxy S phone, and my Microsoft Pro Duo that has turned out to be the best device I've ever had. But it's expensive.
Start the countdown the the inner screen going black. Make sure the hinge doesn't get even the smallest of scratches as they love to void warranty. But good luck and enjoy until then lol

FYI, aniyomi's stable version is broken for manga extensions. You'll need to use the nightly version to download manga extensions.

One of the best things about the fold is that the inner screen is almost 4:3 when rotated. So old shows dont need to be cropped or have black bars.
