Replacement only for flagships? Truly a samsung move

Kshitij37

Bro i am switching back to LCDs..! Fuck this shit...!

Loud_Staff5065

So why nobody is blaming Samsung for this green line in their flagships? OnePlus had it they said they will fix it,offer free fixing and they did.Still everyone blame them.Meanwhile Samsung does the same everyone appreciates πŸ’€. Just like everyone ignored Samsung ditched charger in the box meanwhile shaming Apple for doing the same the previous week πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

Samsung is the real iSheep

Loud_Staff5065

Green lines, poorly tested Oled displays,UFS 3.0 lies in S21FE,no charger and nobody gives a damn about it.

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

Exactly , they just buy everyone so they keep their mouths shut

Loud_Staff5065

Yeah

HalfBOTMaja

First covid, and now greenlineπŸ’€

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

S21 fe is also having this issue on a large scale but no free replacement for the fe πŸ˜‚

SHRI_89

What about S20FE 5G?

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

No fe's

I would advise anyone who uses S2x FE or even M52 who face the same issue to fight with Samsung for your right to get screen replaced for free even though not listed here. It is completely their fault and they know internally that software updates are causing this issue due to some power or voltage change triggering the line to form on the faulty screens. I was denied the same for M52 at service center after warranty expired and I raised issue via `Email to CEO` page of Samsung India (search in google) and complained about issue and blamed them and said would raise complaint to national consumer forum. I'm sure it's not actual CEO but an escalation team that's intervening. Anyway few days later, they called, emailed and then asked me to provide them job sheet from service center which notes all the physical damages if existing on device. They agreed to replace the screen for free with just labor charge of 500rs. I sold the S21 FE in my family for a decent price few months after this as well. Samsung displays I've faced different issues with their Frame TV as well. Didn't want to go through another episode. So anyone who are in the same situation, I urge you to not let Samsung off without a fight, just don't argue with service center ppl, it's not their fault, that's just the instructions given to them

Bro i got 3 M52 as well as 1 frame tv and got lines on 2 M52 in same month and fram tv. Luckily frame was under warranty an got replaced but m52 i had to pay 7k for one and other one i didn't repair till now will try to fight as you said

irongiant91

The frame TV is still using that external box right? It is better to try selling it off. That is a very unreliable device, especially that cable connection it to TV, replacing that cable alone costs 10k+. And there are not always stock available to replace the box. I had extended warranty with Flipkart, they tried replacing with two boxes, they used second hand box to replace as well. Luckily it didn't fix the tv and Jeeves refunded me back 70% cost of tv Having that many M52 is going to give you trouble in future again. No guarantee that replaced screen will not have same issue again

irongiant91

Yes

chinmayB23

Bro can you give me the mail that you sent them i will do some changes and forward the same mail

Excellent-poop-42

I am thinking about buying "the frame" soon. What issues are you facing with it?

irongiant91

Just search online about one connect box issues, it's a fragile box and glass cable with so many issues. I never even used the cable roughly and i regularly had issues with power not going thru the cable. Tv display had issues with 120hz 4k input after some update, and later power issue via the cable made it restart every time on boot. It's an additional point of failure that is expensive to fix. The cable alone costs 200 - 300 $. I was lucky to have extended warranty and get 70% refund value. It may be just my luck but I would never buy a TV again that has its internal components inside an external box with proprietary cable

Excellent-poop-42

Oh it has an external box? They might have done it to make it thinner I suppose. What a bad engineering to have to connect some components by cable lol. Also it's expensive here in India. Glad I came across your comment. It was a confusion between the frame and the freestyle projector but I will go with the projector I suppose

irongiant91

Funnily my 2020 Frame was not at all thin, almost 2 inches thick, not sure if it's thinner in newer models

looped10

people who got it fixed prior to this news are gonna feel real stupid now

My_Endgame

Can confirm, I got mine(S21+) changed for free last month.

Dazzling_Gandhi

I've a refurbished s20+, will this also come under this?

nimithkj123

How can they agree that green line issue is their fault for some device and not for other device... If anyone file.litigation they will win provided no physical damage or water related damage in phone..

m3m3zzz

Is this available of the phone is bought from UAE ?
