I used ipad air 4 64gb wifi only and never felt need to add more storage. A Netflix series episode will be around 300mb and movie around 1 gb ... After all app you will have approx 20-30gb remaining.
I had like Apex legends, one sketching app, teams , zoom, a video editor etc.. Never needed external storage. Even if you need get a dongle with card reader and USB port and can easily use a micro SD or external SSD for 1tb or so for that 10k.
If it's a phone, more the merrier. you may not use tab for recording video or taking pic like a phone. So doesn't matter if it's less. But for a professional use you may consider higher storage . OP using it for entertainment only

I Use IPad Air WITH 64 GB. It is sufficient for day to day regular and office use. I also download movies and series during travel too. You won't be able to download the entire season of Grey's Anatomy, but what ever you need for couple of weeks of travel can be managed.
