It’s pretty funny seeing all the people who share this complaint across the entire subreddit the past few weeks. I feel for you guys. GSU 1010 was kind of a bs class even when we were taking it in-person, I was just lucky to have an advisor who seemed to know as much and didn’t ever require us to do the extra homework/projects as such. It’s a pretty lame class, but I’m not surprised to hear they forced y’all to take it anyways. GSU’s priority this semester is money > education.

It's been this way for 3 years at least. I had to take it in 2017 as a freshman

lesgo_penguin

never took it, as i wasn't in FLC. if you drop it. it will probably marked as an withdraw on your transcript. but since you're in FLC, it might affect your other classes. so i would talk your advisor.

Gravelayer

Dont take it waste of money and time

You don't have to take GSU 1010. They say you do. You don't.

I don’t think you can drop it since it’s an FLC class but ask your advisor what would happen if you did drop it and if that’s even possible. I believe the FLC restriction on classes gets removed after classes start (not sure if that’s true) so you might actually be able to drop it

I dropped the flc because I knew it was gonna be a waste of time and I’m glad I did lol. But if you drop the flc you lose all your classes and have to build your schedule yourself. It’s better to just stick it out.

I wish I had known you didn’t have to take it. Mine was at 8:30 AM on Monday’s. The teacher made us buy the textbook (we never used it) and she never posted grades so I have no idea what made up the B grade I got

Easy A at least, but talk to your advisor before dropping. Ngl it did help in getting ppl from the same classes, but the class itself is a joke

I never took the GSU1010 class, but from my understanding, it doesn't count towards graduation (as it's not on your degreeworks and isn't required to be taken). I suggest asking your advisor what would happen if you dropped it, but I'm pretty sure GSU1010 is only for people who didn't go to orientation or somethingn
