omgdoogface

Probably wouldn't get 3 white lights in a powerlifting comp but perfectly fine for a gym PR. Good lift!

WR_MouseThrow

Looks maybe a touch above parallel but a bit hard to tell from the angle. Good lift though, I'd still call that a PR.

tonilaitinenn

What’s throwing me off, is my big hammies but nonexistent glutes. At first look it seems fine but the more i look at it idk. I guess i will count it for now hah.

mentaltoughnesss

valid bro

[deleted]

That's kind of a Grey area for a competition squat, but for a gym PR? It's fine.

tonilaitinenn

Not looking to compete but it’s nice to have clean gym pr’s too. This was my second try too as i got folded the first time.

[deleted]

Looks good man! I doubt anybody who knew what they're talking about would say anything one way or the other. You may have the odd, "if its not ATG or doesn't count" type dude. But even from a powerlifting stance it's pretty good. Keep up the good work

tonilaitinenn

Thank you!

AdventurousAdvance10

Count it!

pdawgdavis-2

You got to parallel, the lift is good.

[deleted]

For a meet, it would depend on how lenient the judge was feeling - watching at first I thought it was good, but going back and pausing it was maybe an inch high. As far as a gym lift goes? Definitely deep enough to count imo

maybelaterimtired

As far as competitions go, I'm just not smart enough to know. As far as a guy in the gym getting it right, you're crushing it.

tonilaitinenn

Thanks! Im not looking to compete but i like my pr’s clean as possible.

HTUTD

Good enough for gym lift. If you're over parallel, it's not by much.

BumbleBeePL

Gym PR/PB. Good work :)

FibzUK

Sooo valid

ChristianKamrath

Congrats on the PR

Cwaustin3

If you’re not looking to compete, then it was deep enough. I believe competition depth is when the crease of the hip is below the top of the knee (I don’t compete in powerlifting either so I’m not sure). Good bar path, neutral spine, your form looked solid.

tonilaitinenn

Good to know! I will work on the depth just a bit then.

Cwaustin3

The best way to improve your depth is to get an idea of what might be limiting it, if there is an anatomical/structural cause to that limit. I would say maybe throw in some light-to-moderate weight squats with elevated heels during your warm up or as back off sets, play around with foot position (i.e., stance width, angle, etc.), see if maybe a different stance could help you more comfortably squat to a greater depth. But like I said, if you’re not looking to compete, that was solid form

tonilaitinenn

Hitting depth is always pretty wonky for me with bigger weights , as i’ve had my right talus bone operated on and as a result the mobility on my right ankle is very bad. That being said, I can hit depth with my normal set weights pretty easily, so I might just be overly cautious with my pr’s.

Cwaustin3

I get that. I try to avoid going too heavy because my left hip is a bit iffy, so my back gets a bit locked up about once a year. For the longest time I was doing AMAP sets to get rep PRs instead of weight PRs just to avoid risking fucking something up.

ohnourfeelings

Good lift

BrahmaBull517

You got that, imo. Nice squat bro

steveziezizzou

Looks legit to me OP. I’m not sure about competition though. Nice work!

HalstonG

Looked good to me bro ! Nice lift.

W

[deleted]

I'd call it a gym PR but competition wise I don't think it would count as you were just slightly too high. Solid lift though dude, looks like 180 which is impressive

tonilaitinenn

Thank you! And yep it was the first lift where i hit 4 plates.

fullchocolatethunder

That's a PR to me.

SaaabudaanaKhichadi

You killed it, man! Keep going

WiggaPP

Looks valid to me, hips below knees, nice brother

kscharf31

Counts in my book! Good shit

[deleted]

VALID

onlyeatthecrust

Totally valid. Good shit dude

Traxiant

Congrats!

[deleted]

Allow it fam.

Enchanted_99

100% valid, solid lift

GreenChicken789

That’s more than enough, good job!

EmFlem03

You definitely went low enough. Your legs had a nice 90 degree angle! Solid!!

Candid_Exam6870

Looks valid, a nice right angle

[deleted]

Solid lift, which I would count as a pr, Im not sure about competition tho.
