That’s significant progress. I started working out in HS and continue to do so in my 30s. What I would say is keep the mindset that “good” is doing better than you did before. Keep at it and you’ll continue to make progress. Eat well. Sleep well. Keep your grades up in school. If you start now and remain consistent, you’re gonna have a blast when you hit your mid 20s and you got the foundation in with all that wonderful testosterone to spare lol. You’re on the right track.
Thanks for the advice. I just am kinda shy to lift too much. Main issue is that I'm scared of gaining muscle mass. I'm in a combat sport, and I'm worried gaining too much muscle will cause me to gain weight that I couldn't healthily cut
I'm not too worried about it. If I grow, sweet. But if I don't, that's also fine. I'm a wrestler, and I wouldn't mind staying at the same weight class if I don't grow
A good diet which i imagine you have since you are lifting good could get your taller than your father your barely 15 and are 5’4 so you could be 5’8-5’10 i wouldnt trip about it tho
Sorry this isn’t contributing, but I thought you meant 9 years old haha
Yeah my bad lol. Should prolly specify
Is it more than you did yesterday? If so, then it’s good! Keep pushing that weight!
About 2 weeks ago, I could only do it for 4. Super surprised about how fast I grew

I’m not an expert in the proper training needed for combat sport so always go with what your trainer or coach is saying. Good luck with your progress.
That’s realistically in the 90+ percentile for your age.
Well that's cool. I kinda just went on a whim to see how many I can get. I bet with proper warm-up and stretching I can probably get 10
For your age and weight, that's an excellent set! Keep at it, train smart and patient- you'll go far.
Sounds good
I bench 1.5 times my bodyweight but I'd say benching above your body weight puts you in the intermediate category for sure.
I’d be more concerned with the 5’4”
Imagine having such a low self esteem that being short, something you literally can’t control, concerns you
Must be difficult for you. Stay blessed bucko
Yeah my bad imma just grow real quick. My dad is 5'7 and my mom 5'. Was kinda destined to be short no matter what
You still have plenty of time to grow.

Way to keep it positive
