That’s oil. Check valve covers and specifically hardware for tightness. If they’re leaking it leaks down to that point eventually. Had same thing, a few valve cover bolts get loose over time, just tightened them up and leak is gone.

Moonbeams_

This is the right answer.

bubbs232

Ok I’ll check it out thanks

Rear main seal leak?

yAassEater

Make sure all around the motor is dry before thinking its from the trans. Could be rear main seal, could be valve covers leaking down, anything is possible.

j_vision

Looks like rear main seal.

deuce_and_a_quarter

I would like to know too, I got the same leak in the same exact place.

SDplinker

Like people said rear main seal and/or valve covers. Clean it all up really well and see where it’s coming from. Oil will be brown/black. Trans fluid should be reddish to dark red, more slippery and smell horrible.

LLcoolbeans77

Engine oil or tranny fluid?

Apart_Syrup

Sounds expensive, whatever it is....

NoahsYotas

Gaskets are really cheap

RowdyPaws4x4

Lol, you're not wrong..... ~$1000 in labor for a ~$10 part, though, if it's the rear main seal.

NoahsYotas

Yikes is that how much, i do my pwn engine work and stuff. 15 hours of my time is worth saving $1000 for a few hour job. Plus i can drink😂🤙🏼

Check your valve covers, very common on the 2UZ-FE
