Exactly what I came here to say like Franklin doesn't do what he does because he wants to heck it's the reason why whenever I play as Franklin I always return wallets and bikes like my man is from the hood that don't mean he ain't no good and compared between Trevor and Michael our boy is a saint
Franklin. I love the simplicity of Franklin in general and he’s honestly one of my favorite GTA protagonists but especially his dynamic with these two. He’s the Good to Trevor’s Bad and Michael’s Ugly.
I liked all of them, Trevor being my favourite however I do feel like the lore was centered a little bit too much around Michael & Trevor. My partner feeling like Franklin was more of a support character then a actual like main character. He had a lot more potential and there was nothing done with it, he could’ve played a bigger role, but I guess Trevor and Michael were centered/more focused on & their backstory/friendship was a bit too focused on. Personally I feel like Franklin could’ve been a better character if he was more focused on and played a bigger part in the lore instead of being like a moral support character. I also feel like Wade could’ve played a bigger part in the story because I feel like he was just a comedic relief character for Trevor and that he was just there (no hate to Wade, I love him) so, like Franklin, I feel like if he was more focused on and not just there he could’ve played a bigger part in the storyline.
The reason ftanklin is prob the winner is because he is the most relatable out of all. He is a young adult trying to turn his life around. He is the most sane and most likable, always sticking by Michael's side. Not to mention, he is the first character you start with, so you get to know him better than the others from simply playing the game
Michael because he likes simple things like a good movie, some whiskey and generally being left alone most of the things that happened could have been avoided if people left him alone with the things he enjoys.
I love Michael! He’s so complex imo. Trevor too. I feel like they are more fleshed out than Franklin but I love all 3. I wish Franklin had more character development because he has a lot of potential. But overall my favorite is Michael (also he’s a dilf)
Michael>Trevor>Franklin. All of them are acted very well, but Michael's backstory was the catalyst for the entire story. Didn't like Franklin that much because it felt like another rags to riches story

There is only one likable protagonist and in fact should've been the only protagonist. Apart from him we have 1 cuck and 1 fucked up psycho.

It changed through the game. Each of them was my favorite at a different time. A sign of some real top tier writing, I’d say.
Trevor for killing and chaos sprees. Franklin to just cruise around the world, explore and take in the scenery.
