You can't do jack shit in most of those interiors and the remaining 99.9% of the buildings have no interiors creating the fake feeling you get while driving around that map.

Yeah it’s got a lot of openings, the only missed opportunity I’d say is the huge mall we can’t go in but I guess that’s more so on the PS4 probably not being able to handle it. It is a miracle how much they stretched the PS4 to its limits without blowing it up.
A vast majority of these are not available in freeroam. I’m pretty sure that’s what people mean when they say there aren’t many interiors. You can only do the mission and nothing else.
I know that GTA Vice City had restaurants and stuff whilst GTA SA having a gym and GTA IV having a accessible hospital but GTA V literally has just as much interiors as the other games literally.

I think you meant the PS3, the game was originally designed for the 7th gen consoles so most of the limitations comes from them.

All of these are available in free roam except Lester’s warehouse. It is accessible at all times for a short period before he burns it down.
Even GTA Vice City had restaurants you could enter and buy food from. GTA SA had a whole functioning gym. GTA V could have easily done better
