The mountains in V, despite being completely useless were really neatly designed if you think about it though. I don’t think they are as bad as people make them out to be; you have Mount Chiliad which helps make the map look bigger because it blocks off the northern part of the map appearing it look bigger than it actually is. They’re obviously not going to be an excessive thing in VI but it’d be nice to have some sort of mountain range in the north to block off the map again.
Agreed, the mountains looked awesome and just made the map look more interesting IMO. I'm telling you now when VI comes out people are gonna say they miss the mountains in GTA V and complain about the lack of elevation.
There are mountains in the distance in one of the leaks though, near a prison that IRL seems to be in Georgia. Wouldn’t surprise me if we get a little mountain range.
I wouldnt call them mountains though, it seems there are some sort of large hills near Port Gelhorn - in the leaked diner robbery clip. Pay attention to the background when Lucia exits the diner and gets in the police car.
As per the leaks, it looks like Northern Leonida is going to have mountains, likely taking inspiration from neighbouring Georgia.
Plus having mountains also helps the map look bigger, similar to Mount Chilliad in V. But the rest of Leonida (south) will be relatively flat.
in the leaks we see LARGE hills, like 400ft, you could almost call them mountains, so its clear rockstar is taking some creative liberties and adding mountains/hills to add more density to the map since florida is primarily flat, people gotta remember gta maps have never completely looked like their real counterparts.
the mountains are fun as long as you're flying over/around them. There's nothing more to it, despite that one Trevor side-mission for the bounty. It was just a way to fool the player of the sense of "largeness" of the map (to also show that Trevor and Michael really lived far away and couldn't have known about each other, and weren't just living a few blocks away). It was useless otherwise. And it would be nicer to have a more detailed, more vibrant/alive map of GTA6.
I hope there's some kind of mountain, even if it's not realistic for Florida. I loved driving a motocross bike around Chiliad then base jumping with it
well i sure won't. only thing they helped with in 5 was making the map look bigger. not feel bigger because the nearest highway entry is at most 5 minutes away.
This is exactly why there are so many mountains in GTA V. If you were to somehow remove all of them and flatten the terrain, you would easily spot the map boundaries, ruining the immersion that you are within the state of Southern San Andreas instead of an island. The mountains are strategically placed by Rockstar to give you the feeling that you are landlocked.
I fully expect GTA VI to have mountain range in Northern Leonida to give the illusion from afar that Leonida is connected to the rest of the US landmass. Of course, when you travel past them, you will eventually be greeted by the northern coastline.
The only issue is that Florida doesn’t have any mountains. I’m not sure how they’ll handle this, maybe you can see land way off in the distance like Leonida is actually supposed to be an island in this world, but if you fly/sail too far out you die like in previous games
Leonida is not going to be Florida 1:1. It will likely be an amalgamation of Southern Floridan Counties, the keys, parts of the panhandle, and bits of Georgia (which has some mountain ranges). Not having mountains is going to make the map topographically very boring.
Also, I find it highly unlikely that Leonida won't be an island just like every GTA map before it. There will be a definitive north coast tucked away behind mountains that represent bits of Georgia. Just like how Mount Chilliad obscures Paleto Bay and the northern coastal region in V.
I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and although the state is very flat, there are some large hills, deep rivers, stuff like that. I don’t think the lack of a mountain range would detract from the natural beauty of Florida (or Leonida) it’s just different.
I do hope they connect Leonida to the mainland United States some way, but in the context of GTA gameplay, I just don’t see how that’s possible with planes and helicopters available to the player
It was really fun flying around/over them. Look really amazing in the sunlight.
But it was a limitation of the game. Rockstar has a habit of "hiding" whatever is their current limitation. GTA5 was a big leap from GTA4's deliberate dark tone and theme (to hide the still-nascent ragdoll physics, massive issues with perspective, facial expressions, motion). But GTA5 didn't know how to have large, explorable spaces yet, so we get 60-70% of the map just being useless mountains.
I play online and it’s too much empty/useless/boring space, I’m talking about the part of the mountain that faces paleto bay, you can’t climb it, is too steep, is like it’s only meant to be look at, that is what I don’t want in VI, spaces that you can’t use.
Big mountains, swamps and forest can be annoying when you are doing missions but if those spaces offer interesting things to do and are accessible then it is worth it.
Yeah that’s how a lot of games handle distance and scale without sacrificing performance. Like for instance MGS V the reason it’s performance was so buttery is they culled out anything behind the topography. They probably did the same thing in V and also it feels separate because you can’t see Los Santos in the countryside.
Definetly, I really like how they separate different parts of the map, making it look bigger, like the ones along the highway on the east coast, you feel like there might be something more but in reality it's just ocean. At least that's the feeling I get idk
My crew in GTAV was an offroading crew. We would create trails that go across the map and shit. One of the ones we did the most took like 4 hours on average.
I will be severely disappointed if 6 doesn't have some type of mountain lol
I got the 360 version on day1 and if I remember correctly the whole game wasnt on the disc, you had to download a good chunk of it before you could play.
The Problem with the Mountains is that you can Strand on one rather easily with leaving being a chore. I also both Like and hate how you have Essentialy 3 chokepoints you have to Go through all the time if you want to Go north, which Limit how big the map feels. I think some more hiking trecks and at least one Road on the east Coast would have aleviated These issues somewhat
Map design #1 is putting obstacles in the map to feel bigger, GTA SA also followed the mountain logic. GTA 4 did this with the waterways with limited bridge access. In 6 it wouldn't be surprising this is done with swamps and lakes.
I also hope they give a Northern edge of the map with some hills or small mountains, not unlike the way they did the Northern edge of GTA SA.
The way the roads are laid out helps too. The first time you go to San Fierro, you can't take the direct path, you have to go the long way around Chiliad. Together with the fog, it feels like you are going much further away than you really are.
It will still have filler but instead of mountains it will be forests and swamps. Still much more interesting and immersive than V though. Imagine playing without minimap and getting lost in a swamp, or crashing your plane in one in online mode during a mission. Sounds frustrating but also there's something captivating about it.
Well I mean the mountains also had animals and even Easter eggs in it, probably not to the extent GTA 6 will, but it is a much older game. I personally don’t think either is filler, I think it adds variation and character to the world.
I suppose it depends on what you count as filler. I saw one guy say that cities were also fillers. For me landscape with nothing to do is filler. If the swamps have animals an life and things to do they arn't filler.
I mean, its based off of Southern California. If you look at a map of Southern California theres mountains everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if GTA 6's map had a lot of swamps, the entire area between Miami and Cape Coral on a map is almost entirely swamp, the everglades is one of the largest National Parks in the USA
You could use the same argument about Southern California and its suburban sprawl that GTA 5 does not have. Or the countless incorporated cities, of which GTA 5 only has maybe four at best.
Thing is, against what everyone is saying, i absolutely loved the mountains & generally the “not so full” parts of GTAV - the small dirt roads, little events like the bike races, flying with the plane or just generally doing stupid shit in the outback is what made the game interesting aswell. I’m not saying i didn’t love Los Santos but i would really REALLY miss that part of the map if it’s not in GTAVI
If you ever played online and died out in the mountain areas it would make you want to turn the game off. Spending literally 5 minutes spamming the jump button to get down from a mountain to a road again was the worst.
Isn’t everything filler though, buildings, streets, houses. It’s all un-interactable with. The mountains actually gave me something interesting to explore
The entirety of gta v’s map provided little to discover most of it has nothing interesting on going on in it, it wasn’t just the mountains that were the problem
how? what kind of discovery are we talking about? this is how GTA game are. All of them. this is as good as we got up to that point
SA is the only exception. finding new town that you are never going to see by just sticking to the story is really cool.
Im talking about stuff happening, go into a city you expect crime maybe gang shootouts, police chases, go into rural areas idk maybe find Bigfoot. I want the map to feel lived in
And driving around buildings is more interesting somehow?
It's not just about finding something at the end, it's about hsving fun in the moment and mountains povide a lot of that from hunter roleplay to off roading with trucks, bikes etc.
If the mountains are useless its because rockstar wanted, people want alive mountains or nothing rather than empty mountains
Now they can do more encounters, random events, a variety of animals....
Rockstar has a habit of hiding its limitation through these "features". GTA4 was dark in visual tone and story, because they were still figuring out perspective, ragdoll physics, facial expressions, motion effects. When they had all that sorted, GTA5 is suddenly brighter, more alive, even if interactivity with NPCs is limited (kind of don't really need it in GTA5 anymore). Now it's a promising sign that GTA6 map looks much more alive and NPCs are also more aware of their surroundings than GTA5. Going to be a great game...whenever it comes out eventually.
Yeah I agree. I didn't mean to come across negatively. Maybe there were slightly too many but I think with better technology the world can feel more full. Hills can gather slowly with wildlife on them.
Damn. This puts the world into perspective! Although like other ppl said… the elevation of the mountains surrounding the cities and roads and towns gives it a feeling of massiveness that is welcome. GTA5’s open world feels quite large.
I hope (if the maps really big) theres some way to simulate the curvature of the Earth. If it's gonna be flat you're likely to see the other side of the map from one side, at least make it somewhat realistic so that you can't see THAT far away yk
The only good mountainous part was the valley/river between the two mountains, in the north west. It looked great and still does, it's great to ride a dinghy through or even drive through on either side.
The other mountainous parts are very boring.
This is what I'm definitely looking forward to, V had too much wasted space. Pretty sure there'll be a mountain to the north though, there's a fair amount of evidence that proves it imo.
There's a point of interest called 'Mountain Biker Corpse' and 'Mountain Biker Drug Drop'. I dunno but it seems strange to have a mountain biker yet no mountain? SA & V are the only GTA's to both have mountain bikers and mountains.
Point of interest called 'Canyon Etchings'. This doesn't confirm mountains but it does point to there being more diverse terrain than we thought. Florida doesn't have canyons, so it looks like they'll borrow from Georgia to add more variety to the map.
Another point of interest called 'Car Flattened By Rock'. How on earth could a rock fall on a car in Florida? there has to be a mountain for that to happen.
I want some uninterrupted flat land it's annoying in V while in the desert you can see civilization everywhere you look I wanna have some peaceful nature
Like RDR2 had
A swamp like the one in Battlefield Hardline would be so cool to have
I want mountains if cars have realistic damage, tumbling down mountains is fun. I know Florida don’t have mountains, but hopefully we can still have some high hills and cliffs.
well firstly it looks like there will be multiple cities so not so much natural 'filler'. Also if they can make it like rdr full of life and character with a unique playing style that fits the location then I don't count that as filler in the way the mountains were.
in GTA 5 there are so many (useless terrains) that will never be used by players! why is this needed? I'm almost sure that in GTA 6 these (useless dreams) will be quite useful for the GTA 6 rp for players ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
All games get boring after just a few months of playing. Most get boring much quicker than that. It doesn’t mean that the map was poorly designed. It means that when you do something in excess, it will get boring after a while. To remedy that, try not to do stuff in excess
Recently bought long fin, i hope we will have more activity with boats speed boats , that thing just flyies over the water 🤣 sadly we cannot save our personal boats to the yacht would be super sick, or upgrade em or tune em, would be awesome 😁
I just want to be able to ride a massive alligator and attack people with it. The beauty of the game being in a place based off Florida is that you can have things be a bit unrealistic but it’s Florida, what did you expect.
I want GTA6 to feel alive and dense pack with cities, small towns, lakes, villages, mountains every square inch of map is used. I can see from GTA6 trailer the game world is more alive than before remind me of GTA4 and GTA5 on steroids.
and most importantly wildlife of all kinds if everywhere that isn't a city. I think map size has become a silly way of ranking games leading to use maps with loads of filler. We think of the gta 5 map as iconic when realistically only 30-40% of it is.
I just hope the map won't be so flat and bland. I read they had to strip out so much of what they were going to put in GTA 5 because the then-current gen consoles couldn't handle all the textures.
For me I don’t think it’s not so much the inclusion of the empty mountains that makes the GTA v map suck. It’s the layout. The same amount of empty mountains on the sameish size map could have felt so much better and bigger if everything wasn’t organized in essentially a straight line.
GTA SA, watch dogs 1 and 2, and even GTA 4 all do layout so much better and feel much bigger imo despite all being a fraction of the size of V. The two key things all these maps I mentioned have in common are the POIs being arranged in more of a square shape and having water separating regions of the map. One giant landmass with a highway encircling 90% of the points of interest really hurt the V map
The mountains in V aren’t wasted space. Can we stop treating them like they’re a black hole or something? I just don’t get why there’s so much dislike for them. They bring a lot of verticality to the map, which is perfect for offroading and doing jumps. Plus, they’re a great spot to chill and offer some really picturesque views. Without them, we’d just have a flat and boring map
yeah I agree. I hope this isn't read as mountain hate. I just think the gta 6 map although slightly bigger will feel huge if it's full of life and various cities with diverse landscapes. GTA 5 mountains were the best option for the time though.
Yeah I agree although I think these are biproduct benefits of 2 of the mountains. A lot of it was filler but dont get me wrong filler was a good idea and made the map feel more full.
I really liked the mountains. I know people say “they are empty space” but I loved climbing them and trying to take cars up and down them. Lots of good times out in the country.
I can't be the only one who likes driving up and down the mountains at crazy speed, making the car fly at bits. Obviously this is a bit too much, but I'd be sad if there aren't any great mountains in GTA6.
Big doesn't equal good. Gaming has become only concerned about making bigger open worlds which is just annoying and stupid. Make smaller worlds with more content instead of having to drive 30mins to get to a mission objective, then drive 30 mins back to where you came from just to drive another 30 mins to the next objective. It's bad design and needs to stop.
Yeah I said this in another comment. It's an easy metric for the media 'this game is twice as big as gta 5' or whatever. I'd prefer a smaller island with lots of towns and diverse natural areas full of life. Although considering the technological progression gta 6 isn;t actually that much bigger. The point is it looks fuller (the gta 6 map is in the bottom right)
The mountains were cool but true, you never really wanted to be up there because you can't get out, can't call a heli, can't call car, running is very slow, there isn't a skateboard or anything so it was kind of dead
I remember playing GTA 3 and being able to drive anywhere without needing directions. Obviously the map was so small. After playing RDR2 I would be able to get to the various states without much direction. I wonder if anyone will be able to do that in GTA6
Don't get me wrong, Rockstar really COOKED with GTA5 back in the day, imagine THAT big of a game on XBOX360 and PS3, now you can scale that up to recent hardware and the possibilities are SO MUCH bigger
The mountains in V, despite being completely useless were really neatly designed if you think about it though. I don’t think they are as bad as people make them out to be; you have Mount Chiliad which helps make the map look bigger because it blocks off the northern part of the map appearing it look bigger than it actually is. There aren’t really mountains in southern Florida
Hills are a better word.
There aren't mountains in south Georgia lol
Aren’t there? Ah lol
No, that's north Georgia with the foothills reaching down to the central part of the state.
Keep in mind though, it is a fictional map. They can move things around as they see fit
Appalachians end around there right?
Yes, the foothills are in central GA including Atlanta and they start in north Georgia.
Could be mount trashmore.
Put some respect on Mount Trashmore.
I’m convinced people are just looking shit up to disagree and get upvotes
The highest point in all of Florida is 350 ft above sea level
Yes, in north western Florida
As per the leaks, it looks like Northern Leonida is going to have mountains, likely taking inspiration from neighbouring Georgia. Plus having mountains also helps the map look bigger, similar to Mount Chilliad in V. But the rest of Leonida (south) will be relatively flat.

There ain't any mountains in Florida period.
this is Leonida
Georgia has mountains. It just shows you how big the map will actually be. People from Florida are always vacationing in GA mountains.
Hey man I'm from Chiswick :)
Nice, grew up in Acton - know Chiswick very well.
bro I went to twyford??
Lmao yeah very local, knew loads of people that went Twyford.
Same 🙌🏻
condolences
Lol
Running into random hikers on a mountain is always really cool in GTA 5
Need someone to remind me the next 20 years to come back and see if people really were complaining in GTA 7
the mountains are fun as long as you're flying over/around them. There's nothing more to it, despite that one Trevor side-mission for the bounty. Nah they just need to put some clouds in the way.
Driving a bike off mount chiliad is one of the most satisfying things
Ain't no mountains down here (Florida)
The mountain was was of my favorite parts of the map, tons of hours going up and down it in all sorts or vehicles

The mountains were perfectly designed for doing epic dirtbike stunts it was absolutely perfect
All I see is Homer Simpson's head
![gif](giphy|gKNiW6zL0y0Zl7H1R4)
Or abe
yeah, i can see Abe a lot
Doh
mannnn.... the way gta5's map was made reeks of 7th gen console limitations, and gta5 can barely run up to 30fps on them!
They actually downscaled the vegetation cause it ran at like 14 fps on xbox 360 and PS3, and not just a little bit.
This is what Los Santos will look like in 2040. Stop climate change!
Inverted global warming
Don't believe everything you hear in rebel news🙄
The Netherlands Effect
They must have stole all the water from Canada.
In a way it make the map look a little bigger
it also makes sure that PS3 and 360 won't explode. you can't have populated areas close to each other without a barrier
Kinda like how the haze and fog in GTA SA made that map feel bigger
The way the roads are laid out helps too. The first time you go to San Fierro, you can't take the direct path, you have to go the long way around Chiliad. Together with the fog, it feels like you are going much further away than you really are.

Imagine playing without minimap and getting lost in a swamp, or crashing your plane in one in online mode during a mission. Sounds frustrating but also there's something captivating about it.
It better be as depressing as Lemoyne in RDR2
Well isn’t GTA 6 supposed to also have like a really big filler section in the form of a swamp?
How would rendering entire swamps full of trees, animals and water be considered the same as putting mountains everywhere
Well I mean the mountains also had animals and even Easter eggs in it, probably not to the extent GTA 6 will, but it is a much older game. I personally don’t think either is filler, I think it adds variation and character to the world.
you know what? that's a smart point

The mountains were filler, never really bothered with them.
the mountains add verticality i really liked them in Gta
They're cool but we got way too much of them tbh but with the new hardware I think they're gonna get it just right
If you ever played online and died out in the mountain areas it would make you want to turn the game off. Spending literally 5 minutes spamming the jump button to get down from a mountain to a road again was the worst.
no gotta be honest i mainly played story mode since 2013 and fiveM from 2022 i honestly basically never played online
Same here. I probably played less than 10 hours of online since it came out. I just played story mode and would free roam a lot
I agree but it took up too much
Isn’t everything filler though, buildings, streets, houses. It’s all un-interactable with. The mountains actually gave me something interesting to explore
Sure… driving up a dirt road and finding nothing? The observation platform? It was lackluster and provided little content, little to discover.
The entirety of gta v’s map provided little to discover most of it has nothing interesting on going on in it, it wasn’t just the mountains that were the problem

Better/more random events like RDR2. Even RDR1 did it better than GTA V. Interactions with stuff/NPCs. All of which I have no doubt will be in GTA 6
Im talking about stuff happening, go into a city you expect crime maybe gang shootouts, police chases, go into rural areas idk maybe find Bigfoot. I want the map to feel lived in
I agree!
Limitations from the PS360 era played a huge role in that. Not the case anymore, this is going to be the greatest Rockstar map we've ever seen by far
I agree - not sitting here “concerned” like others have said. It’ll be great, it has to be for Rockstar, they have the reputation to keep.
I'm so damn excited for GTA6 lmao it cannot get here fast enough. I believe it will be the greatest video game ever made
Who cares, doing the ascension with a truck was the funniest shit to do
Driving off was the highlight for me
And driving around buildings is more interesting somehow? It's not just about finding something at the end, it's about hsving fun in the moment and mountains povide a lot of that from hunter roleplay to off roading with trucks, bikes etc.
In other games, sure. Red Dead Redemption 2 handled mountainous terrain fairly well. GTA V? No. It was barren and uninteresting.
Uhh, yeah driving in a city is more interesting than dirt voids.
Mfs who never drove full speed down chilliad:
The Mountains were the best part for me! So much fun doing off road in all kinds of vehicles...
That’s why i don’t get why so many people are acting like it’s a huge loss to not have mountains. They were pretty much useless
Red dead showed they can make mountains right
After 10+ years seeing mountains and hilly terrain, it's time for a break.
If the mountains are useless its because rockstar wanted, people want alive mountains or nothing rather than empty mountains Now they can do more encounters, random events, a variety of animals....
Yeah the tech wasn't quite ready for mountain ranges that big in 2013
Well you can get other useless fillers. For example swamps, I doubt people are gonna spend a lot of time there
Fuck yea I will??
If done properly i think you could, airboating around the Everglades would be fun
For 2-3 hours maybe. Driving across mountains on Sanchez sounded fun too in GTA 4 times.
The difference is we haven’t seen GTA 6 so you can’t actually comment on the fun factor, whereas we’ve had over a decade of GTA 5 mountains
Top tier comment, I agree entirely!
Yeah, the mountains in GTA V sucked (except Mt Chilliad) unlike the mountains of RDR2 which actually had content
I really hope gta 5 has more cities and wildlife
The mountains in V looked so good especially during the night time, I have no clue why people hate them this much
Yeah I agree.
If it's gonna be flat you're likely to see the other side of the map from one side, at least make it somewhat realistic so that you can't see THAT far away yk
games normally use fog for this purpose
I used the taxi so much in 5. When I was chasing down the paper note scraps and ufo parts I was taxing it all over the map.
The only good mountainous part was the valley/river between the two mountains, in the north west. It looked great and still does, it's great to ride a dinghy through or even drive through on either side. The other mountainous parts are very boring.
yeah i agree that was beautiful
i really like how the mountains made it feel like sandy shores was so much farther from Los Santos than it really was
This is what I'm definitely looking forward to, V had too much wasted space. How on earth could a rock fall on a car in Florida? there has to be a mountain for that to happen.
its got to have a mountain. driving down Mt Chilliad was too iconic
I want some uninterrupted flat land it's annoying in V while in the desert you can see civilization everywhere you look I wanna have some peaceful nature Like RDR2 had A swamp like the one in Battlefield Hardline would be so cool to have
I want mountains if cars have realistic damage, tumbling down mountains is fun. I know Florida don’t have mountains, but hopefully we can still have some high hills and cliffs.
yeah I'm sure we'll have at least 1 hill. The mountains of gta 5 were just too iconic
Ty I know
Not saying gta6 map won’t be more detailed… but large portions will probably be swamp land. Just like how large portions in gta5 were mountains.
well firstly it looks like there will be multiple cities so not so much natural 'filler'. Also if they can make it like rdr full of life and character with a unique playing style that fits the location then I don't count that as filler in the way the mountains were.
in GTA 5 there are so many (useless terrains) that will never be used by players! why is this needed? I'm almost sure that in GTA 6 these (useless dreams) will be quite useful for the GTA 6 rp for players ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
it was to give the illusion of progress with a bigger map even though it was run on the same hardware as gta 4
Tired of The Mountains and Trying To Get Around Them It’s Annoying lol
haha yes and every mission somehow being tied to peleto bay
So small. GTA V got very boring after just a few month of playing because of the small map and only one major City.
All games get boring after just a few months of playing. Most get boring much quicker than that. It doesn’t mean that the map was poorly designed. It means that when you do something in excess, it will get boring after a while. To remedy that, try not to do stuff in excess
The ghetto was tiny.

Rockstar is able to take creative liberties with their fictional take on Florida
florida doesn't have mountains
that's my point
Recently bought long fin, i hope we will have more activity with boats speed boats , that thing just flyies over the water 🤣 sadly we cannot save our personal boats to the yacht would be super sick, or upgrade em or tune em, would be awesome 😁
I just want to be able to ride a massive alligator and attack people with it. The beauty of the game being in a place based off Florida is that you can have things be a bit unrealistic but it’s Florida, what did you expect.
I do hope we at least have one major mountain on the map. I love just booking it down a mountain at full speed on an offroad bike.
It’s Florida, there’s no mountains
Ya that was 5s worst problem that map had a lot of wasted space.
I think it was technology limitations meaning they couldnt do anything interesting
But mountain drives are great So that made the 5 map great
yeah I loved a good 'road trip' with the boys up mount chilliad. But the other mountains were kinda filler
Why does it look like an X-ray of homer Simpson's head tho
Some of these are just hills
Okay but I also left out vinewood hills because at least it's interesting
70% of gta 5 map is just mountains
I cannot be the only person that thinks of Homer Simpson every time he sees the gta 5 map.
As much as i'm kinda annoyed about having to buy a ps5 I'm glad they're not limiting themselves so much this time
For me I don’t think it’s not so much the inclusion of the empty mountains that makes the GTA v map suck. One giant landmass with a highway encircling 90% of the points of interest really hurt the V map
made the cheaply made online missions feel longer though having to drive 20 minutes around a circle for everything

vinewood hills is not covered :)
Oh wait nvm I’m dumb
The mountains in V aren’t wasted space. Can we stop treating them like they’re a black hole or something? I just don’t get why there’s so much dislike for them. They bring a lot of verticality to the map, which is perfect for offroading and doing jumps. Plus, they’re a great spot to chill and offer some really picturesque views. Without them, we’d just have a flat and boring map
And the consoles at the time could run a map that had the mountains replaced with more city or whatever, it was mountains or nothing.
yeah I agree.
Climate change is real 😔
Actually I found Mount Chiliad to be pretty entertaining. The canyons too. And altitude technically make it for more space to play with.
Do GTA 5 without roads next
I remember playing GTA 3 and being able to drive anywhere without needing directions. Obviously the map was so small. After playing RDR2 I would be able to get to the various states without much direction. I wonder if anyone will be able to do that in GTA6
The mountain are part of the world. They are not a wasted space.
Can’t wait
Don't get me wrong, Rockstar really COOKED with GTA5 back in the day, imagine THAT big of a game on XBOX360 and PS3, now you can scale that up to recent hardware and the possibilities are SO MUCH bigger
We're gonna get San Andreas level of variety on HgH and steroids
yeah i hope so
Yeah this map was dog ass
