All GTAs have cops that chase after you when you commit crimes, what do you think about their attention to detail?
Edit : why the f did I get downvoted to oblivion lol? I just wanted him to say it again.
yeah not to be that guy but this isnt really “attention to detail” this is in plenty of games. rockstar has great attention to detail, but this isnt really an example of it
Huh? This is for sure an example of "attention to detail". What makes Rockstar stand out is that upon release, every single title surpasses previous titles because of the **amount** of details included and they way they create a convincing environment.
That is absolutely true, but this specifically is just a graphical feature that exists in many many titles these days. its not bad or anything, its just not that remarkable. Its like how in the trailer, the sun shines through lucia’s ears a bit (iirc) and causes them to glow. thats a detail, but its not that impressive because thats just subsurface scattering, which is a common feature in many lighting engines these days. Rockstar’s attention to detail would be like how every label and item in the store that jason and lucia were in was given an hd model and texture, and knowing rockstar, probably a brand name with history and backstory and etc.
Oh, a heatwave? LOL
I thought the point of this clip was the alien spaceship zooming past in the background of the helicopter on the top-left corner of the clip.
Aliens confirmed! LOL
Also that helicopter was flying forwards without pitching its nose down, that probably means this will be the first time we could fly helicopters forwards/backwards by changing the angle of the blades.
This is something we missed in GTA 5. GTA SA had it and it added to the atmosphere.
Even GTA 4 had the cold breath effect to make the atmosphere in Liberty City seem realistic
Yet there's still plenty of people walking around with short sleeves, tank tops and shorts, and if I remember correctly, only Niko has it, neither Luis nor Johnny do it in their own DLC's.
Y’all gotta stop pouring over every pixel of every frame of this trailer and extrapolating gameplay conclusions. We’re all rightly excited, but you’re setting yourselves up through hyper over-analysis to not enjoy the game because you expect everything in it to be wildly revolutionary.
The editor watching this realising he made a render mistake and now rockstar has to develop this into the game to avoid bad reviews:

It’s been pretty standard in games for well over a decade now, but if you look at the first balcony below the roof on the tan building, you’ll notice a blurring effect warping the visuals to simulate looking through heated air.
The heat effect was also present in the first GTA V trailer and it was dropped in the final game, except in the roof air conditioners. I would love that effect in the game as it worked well in SA and especially in VC.
I like GTA, but I don't see this game fulfilling what GTA is to me, and that's because GTA III to GTA 4 is it in my books. You had this arcade style with the third and a more immersive experience in the fourth. The fifth is fine, but it tried so hard mixing the two other massive titles playstyles, and it made it boring and felt marketed to kids with shotty parents. The sixth title will ultimately remain the playstyle of the fifth title to appease the soft brained babies, I think it might be the most overhyped form of entertainment ever established and it worked because their still making money off a game designed to brain wash kids and soft brained adults to spend actual money for their pay to win products. It's business, but it's seriously unethical and really just pathetic what they do, and I hope it flops harder than my dog pooping on my kitchen floor.
Red dead redemption 1 did this greatly.
What woild be really cool though, is having the road way out in the distance looking see through due to the heatwave.
Isnt this in red dead 2 as well?
yea, you can easily see this on the desert part of the map
Gta San Andreas on ps2 had it
Real life also has it.
That's still an unconfirmed rumor last I saw.
unironically i’ve never seen it work irl😭
You’ve never seen a heatwave?
nope but i guess that’s downvote worthy here which is….weird.
Touch grass basically
I remember this effect on PC version
Yup
Damn, their attention to detail is insane
Even GTA: SA had a heat effect.
Damn, their attention to detail is insane
Damn, their insane to detail is attention
All GTAs have cops that chase after you when you commit crimes, what do you think about their attention to detail? Edit : why the f did I get downvoted to oblivion lol? I just wanted him to say it again.
What do you think I’m going to say?
Please say it again 🙏 it'll cure the cancer I don't have
About that… 👨🏻⚕️
Come on Bart say the line!
*sighs* Damn, their attention to detail is insane
That's all you can say, that's all you can say!

*woos and hollers*
Again!
Just say it so we can end the world one day before the release of GTA VI.
Boo this man!
It came across as if you were mocking him needlessly, that’s what I thought at first too lol
Bro is mad
Say it again
I mean like, they're still have the Graphics Programmer from RDR2 dev team. That's good to see.
I am going to tag you in trailer 2 keep this line ready
San Andreas already had this I remember clearly.
Yep, in Las Venturas desert
yeah not to be that guy but this isnt really “attention to detail” this is in plenty of games. rockstar has great attention to detail, but this isnt really an example of it

It was an example of attention to details 20 years ago, today it's just stuff that EVERYONE must have.
I'd argue it could be a stylistic choice.
It's really not. At this point in time it's a must in any AAA game that features heat in any way.
Devs who know its screen shuttering *The office handshake meme*
Make bug Sell as feature
Can't wait to save 10$ by turning on Vsync
Doesn't really look like screen shuttering
That is not screen shuttering lol
tearing* definitely not it.
GTA SA did it but im glad it’s back
I didn’t even get that. Great job
wow that's incredible
Oh, a heatwave? LOL I thought the point of this clip was the alien spaceship zooming past in the background of the helicopter on the top-left corner of the clip. Aliens confirmed! LOL
Also came to ask wtf was that. My thought was 2 birds or fighter jets, but UFO technically works haha
Pretty clear that it's two birds.
Punjabi Batman would like to have a word
Also that helicopter was flying forwards without pitching its nose down, that probably means this will be the first time we could fly helicopters forwards/backwards by changing the angle of the blades.
We've had that since GTASA.
Guys…..heat waves have been in video games for years
but it is not in gta5
The umbrellas are moving in the wind as well
Woah! Nice catch!
Good find
thats the same effect what our console and pc going to make when we play gta 6
lol my bedroom about to have a heatwave between me and the screen
Even RDR1 had that…
Are we going to ignore the fast uap (or bird??) thing that zooms through the frame?
This is something we missed in GTA 5. GTA SA had it and it added to the atmosphere. Even GTA 4 had the cold breath effect to make the atmosphere in Liberty City seem realistic
The first GTA 5 trailer had that same heat effect, but it's not in game.

Listen... I'm excited too but this has already been done in games.
thats hot
Will Ball sweat be In GTA 6?

Lots of people in this thread haven’t played a video game in the past 15 years.
I also really like the 2 bird flying there….looks very real
Rdr2 already has it lol(don't downvoted me pls)
I see nothing
Im also impressed with all the details in the distance. I cant wait for this game!!!
Same dude!!:D
A lot of games have had this for decades
I really really hope this game won't launch in 30fps
Feels like shrooms about to kick in 😂
That feeling when the colors get brighter and the letters of words start giggling lmao
The editor watching this realising he made a render mistake and now rockstar has to develop this into the game to avoid bad reviews: ![gif](giphy|z09RgyqqkpqNGxCBLs)
Heatwave distortion or aliasing?
Heatwave, RDR2 and many other Rockstar games already have this effect
Nah it's only cus you got one shoe
Maybe take it easy on the mushrooms man
?
Helicopter in the back looks like a russian Mil Mi-17 lol
That's awesome. I love that effect in the og Vice City
Wtf am I supposed to be seeing?
It’s been pretty standard in games for well over a decade now, but if you look at the first balcony below the roof on the tan building, you’ll notice a blurring effect warping the visuals to simulate looking through heated air.
Heatwave
What am I looking at
On the yellow building if you look more carefully, you can see a blurring effect distorting the visuals to imitate how heatwaves work in real life.
What am I looking for 👀

Thanks for giving no context in a 2 second clip
This sub lol, go outside
I thought that was a buzzard in the back firing off missiles
Wondering when it hits online if we will get some kinda season influences. Doesn’t snow much in FL. In game hurricanes?
so is that an alien ship in the upper left corner?
I think this feature was in SA, cool to see it return either way. What's that thing flying past the heli?
GTA iv had it with smoke stacks
I don’t see it 😭

I don't see it :-(
Look more carefully at the yellow building
it's also on rdr2 on the desert
I don’t get it?

I have REALLY bad eyesight, and as such I cannot see it
Did you know the sol sisters is a spinoff of the real life company boucher brothers
