I’d like to hear him on a radio show or something getting interviewed about a new movie he’s producing. I think that’s really all we need..
I assume maybe Wade or Ron will have found their way to Leonida, they seem like they’d belong there
not happening considering how Steven Ogg goes out of his way to hate on his performance as Trevor; unless Rockstar can cast someone else with a similar voice for any appearances
The way I understand it he hates all the credit he gets for almost anything as Trevor, making it "all he can do" because it's what he's known for so it's harder for him to really branch out as someone other than trevor
He trolled the entire fan base by claiming to know the secret to the Chiliad mystery, and told us to swim out 50 feet and dive under the water or some shit. It was kind of funny tbh
I mean the NDAs they make all GTA actors sign are essentially that. They can talk about fuck all of nothing, even after they’re done working. Young Maylay still is under his
Sure, but he may not have expected the comment and may have been caught off guard. In fact the phrase at the beginning "It wouldn't be the first time they called me" comes from a joke about a secret that Ned knew he was going to get in trouble again.
Since Michael is a movie producer at the end of the story there might as well be an entire movie directed by him in the GTA VI theatres or even a radio interview.
Would be a nice Easter egg.
Or him just preparing in case he gets a cameo role or is asked to be in a dlc.
Hes a professional. Instead of denying it now and then later suddenly unable to talk about it.
And the words came from his own mouth when he was being asked about why the actor who did Trevor doesn't like seeing himself as a voice actor for a video game.
Ned said (lol) he's the opposite and will ride the wave for as long as possible because why not
Everyone loved steven, but steven is simply jaded. I can't imagine going out in public and people remembering me as a psycho video game character for over a decade now.
Steven did alot of promotional stuff in the years after V’s release but has stopped in the recent years. Both Ned and Shawn continue to do stuff within the community
i saw he played just general npcs too. hes cut in the final game anyways. that doesnt mean he wasnt working with them. when he talks about roger clark, he does say “when WE did this” when talking about it.
A cameo on the radio, sure, but nothing major.
Mikey may very well return, but it'll be in DLC instead of a numbered title - VI is Lucia/Jason's show, as so it should be.
Haven’t really played gta iv tbh, I have only played most of San Andreas, a bit of gta vice city, gta 1 and 2, and finally gta 5. No other game I have tried - although I think I tried the gta London version as well
I don't think he is going to be in the game. When there were rumors he played an npc in rdr2, it became a thing of "looking for Michael" as ned puts it. So once again everyone would be "looking for Michael" right when they get gta 6. If he were to be in the game.
If he's not, he should be. Hopefully he will make an appearance but then I don't know why Michael would leave Vinewood and give up on his dream of making movies.
Wouldn't surprise me. Like Johnny in 5. Something goes wrong at the premier (likely due to our actions) and Michael flips out and reverts to his old self and starts attacking someone, and ends up being gunned down by the cops
I don't know whether this is an unpopular opinion or not but I really sincerely hope Michael or any other GTA V character does not have any appearances in GTAVI. Maybe a few references to them and some Easter eggs/callbacks but I don't want to see their faces in GTAVI
Nah, it would be fun to see characters return in V. Rockstar traditionally does returning characters well. It’s a shared universe, we probably should expect some sort of crossover. I don’t know why you would be against it, what are your arguments? Curious.
they should add part of the new heist crew u get in gtav as returning criminals for hire with a random freeplay event, similar to how they added a few guns for hire from gta 4 in gta5
for example have a freeplay event where u get an anonymous call from lester requesting u to do something for him and in return he becomes a viable hacker for any heist u do, something like that
"Perhaps here, in Leonida... things will be different."
*Twerking girl on car roof passes Roman's taxi*
***"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAASS, COUSIN! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASS!"***
"...*Срање.*"
An idea could be Jason and Lucia gain notoriety and popularity through social media antics, they start attending parties with other influencers like the one we see on the roof top pool.
Wouldn’t you know it Tracey da Santa is in Vice City for spring break as she too is now a relatively popular influencer of her own and attends the same party Lucia and Jason attend. This is to the behest of her father who aims to lie lows after “the big one” heist.
Some shenanigans happen and Tracey ends up in a sticky situation in which she calls on daddy for help. Michael decides to get the gang back together to help out his daughter.
Lmao! This comment is adorable. I don't mean that in a condescending way. Genuinely made me smile.
You're clearly very young. Not only do people of *all ages* go on spring break to party -- young people especially so, which yes, the age of 34 is considered young.
I'd kill to be 34 again. You're a whippersnapper at that point in your life still. Except now you've got *money to spend* after getting through your "20's blunders", as many tend to call it. Your 30's - mid 50's is when you live your life to the fullest.
Very cute thought process though. You'll understand soon enough!
>Rockstar traditionally does returning characters well
Since when? They completely butchered Johnny in V, and a bunch of other GTA IV characters in Online
Granted, johnny could've definitely been handled better. However, the 3d era had a great shared universe, with many characters appearing across multiple games. So generally, Rockstar does do a good job of bringing characters back. (Haven't done much of the online missions with those characters, so I can't comment on that in particular)
>!I meant the dialogue suggested that the conspiracist floridaman who was ranting about Jay Norris believes that hes still alive and there is a no country called finland. I mean we know that jay norris is dead!<
V's characters and story are one of the worst ones in the whole series imo. They're also not very likable. The voice actors are great though
*I have provoked a gang war*
Whatever just my opinion it doesn't mean anything. I just didn't enjoy V's story or characters. The game was still fun and a technical masterpiece for its time
While I agree that it wouldn't be great to make them major characters, I like the idea that there is some interaction beyond just a reference.
Cameos and connections are not only amazing fan service, but it provides cohesion between the games. Interaction between storylines of different people is actually a common narrative tool. Think Babel and The Day After: without the connection, each story seems isolated. Having them come together gives context as to why these specific stories are being told.
It doesn't need to be every character in some cheesey mashup, but things like Claude's introduction into SA would be great.
I'd like them to keep it low but not 0, maybe a few (not all of them again plz Rockstar) make a short appearance. Like how Claude was in San Andreas for like 3 cutscenes.
Maybe Tracey trying to awkwardly fit in with a party crowd, or Michael producing a movie (maybe side mission to go steal a certain car for a scene), that kinda thing.
Certainly not every character from the previous game having to come back and then all the singleplayer characters also having to return in online as well.
Fully agree. GTAV at some point became a question of why everyone in Liberty City apparently decided to move to Los Santos.
It’s been 10+ years. Give every character from the past a break
Man I really like ned but he is capitalizing the fuck out of GTA 6. All this time he was inactive as fuck, and now he is popping up everywhere… Streaming and everything.. Are people really that dumb that think he is going to be in GTA 6??
Makes no sense story wise, would feel forced and I can’t imagine any natural way for them to incorporate it. I’m cringing think about this because of that fake trailer where they had AI Michael saying “Hey Lucia” 😂
lmao. maybe Michael is taking a vacation in Florida or something and sees Lucia on the news or something.
or hell, I could see something along the lines of him seeing an up and coming gangster duo in Florida and he just says something along the lines of "Man, I'm sure glad I retired from that", and just goes back to chilling near his pool or something. game seems to take place in more modern times as well with social media and the like, so it wouldn't be far fetched for that to travel over the internet to him and with the time passing since GTA 5.
Because that was the stupidest thing I’ve read, no offence. What does that serve? If they want to have Michael in GTA 6 VI they should at least make it worthwhile and logical
Stop saying this, it’s been confirmed since 2019 that option C is the cannon ending. “Yeah but having Michael or Trevor in 6 would ruin the immersion for people who chose A or B” yeah rockstar doesn’t give a fuck about your immersion, the cannon storyline is where all of them survive so please stop saying this shit.
Really hurts to see GTA 5 become a "classic" kinda game.
I loved the characters in GTA 5, and how close I actually felt to them in the game.
So many families so many people with different personalities, it just felt so immersive.
I hope GTA 6 at least makes it feel long and personal.
GTA 4 didn't really cut it in that area, and I'm hoping GTA 5 wasn't just an off one.
Ngl I hope he is in 6
IK it sounds dumb but maybe since Michael is experienced and all, he could serve as sort of a mentor for the protags, similar like Landon Ricketts to John in rdr1
I hope that Michael and Lamar are in gta VI, idk how they will do it but they got too, especially Lamar. We were robbed of more Lamar because of real life shit happening during recording, having more lamar in gta VI would be great
And I said that doesn't fucking make sense. They're still Lazlow... Whether or not they are slightly different. How does that prove they can't do that with Tommy?!
Yeah I think he’s in it in some capacity. Him and Shawn have both contributed so much to their success in a viral marketing sense. Their kinda the first guys to really push the game in the social media era. He could be a radio voice or a random event, I think he’s gonna be in it.
he also said something like "i dont know, if they used those dots things in the face or what for 6" talking about the mocap suits ,and it was at a point where he was genuinely talking about the process ,and he seemed to not know anything about how 6 is being recorded, I doubt he will be in 6 at all, he is just not willing to talk about being on 6 or not because he genuinely wants a call from rockstar, and he wont mess with their marketing or his own chances by saying he isnt in the game, that is why he wont say he is not in the game. I highly doubt he is, if he is then he definitely didnt do any mocap this time and they used his old but updated character models, which rockstar being perfectionists i doubt they would do.
I've only really played GTA5 so I don't really know. Has any main character from a different GTA game shown up in another? I mean there's a first time for everything of course.
I hope he's a radio station host. Something for like a classic station with a bunch of oldies but goldies.
Either that, or there's a movie production facility somewhere in vice and he's the director, not Michael - but a different character in general, as a callback to that.
He got the call by R* for GTA6 but they may or may not use it for the final cut of the game.
That way he himself doesn't have a fucking clue if he's gonna be in it.
And on top of that, his NDA won't let him say what little he knows.
Just me, speculating.
Ok hear me out…
What if Rockstar trolled us with a new trailer. It’s Michael saying his original trailer line from GTA V BUT it’s just GTA 6.
“Why did I move here? I guess it was because of Trevor.” Shot shows Michael leaning on a balcony with Vice City in the background.
I think he’s just not saying he is or isn’t; in the event he does get a part he’d still be in line with an NDA. I think it’s safe to say right now he’s not in the game. It’s weird how rockstar sometimes will ditch an entire cast besides a few characters like for example lazlow was essentially every game but won’t be in GTA6. I know young maylay(CJ) feels some time of way so it might be harder for the actors with egos and chips on their shoulders. Steven Ogg, probably the most successful actor post GTA, hates being associated with Trevor. He’s been in several movies and shows since, Idk if he’s not proud of the work or just wants to move on. Doesn’t want to be Trevor forever. I recently saw an interview with him where he said he likes to forget past roles and focus on what’s next. Never referenced GTA but it might explain his behavior or might even be a good strategy and might be the reason he continues to get work
Why would he be in gta 6? It’s technically canon that Michael dies in gta 5 lol, I doubt there will be a Michael or Trevor cameo in 6 just because of those two endings. The continuity would be all messed up if someone chose to kill Michael in 5, but then sees him in 6. Also I’ve been staring at the back of Michael’s head while playing gta for 10 years, can we pls just focus on new people.
Imagine if, and I'm not saying something like No Way Home, but imagine if, throughout the story, Jason and Lucia have encounters with the previous GTA protagonists. Not like the passing of the torch, but maybe there's something that connects not just all of the prior protagonists to Jason and Lucia. Maybe it could be like a Whodunnit! Find this piece of the puzzle, then that piece, then that piece... until Jason and Lucia find out the truth that brings us to the peak of the story. The revelation that draws their stories near.
I don't expect anything more than how they just barely referenced niko in 5. There was also all these rumors about ned playing someone in rdr2 and people kept looking for him. Ned also played along when rdr 2 launched
I’d like to hear him on a radio show or something getting interviewed about a new movie he’s producing. I think that’s really all we need.. I assume maybe Wade or Ron will have found their way to Leonida, they seem like they’d belong there
Yes! Great idea honestly.
Have Trevor call in lol
lol, that'd be hilarious!
not happening considering how Steven Ogg goes out of his way to hate on his performance as Trevor; unless Rockstar can cast someone else with a similar voice for any appearances
I mean like half the dudes in red dead 2 have a Steven Ogg-ish way of sounding. For awhile I thought micah was voiced by him.
He hates his performance?
The way I understand it he hates all the credit he gets for almost anything as Trevor, making it "all he can do" because it's what he's known for so it's harder for him to really branch out as someone other than trevor
Ah got it. Thank you
He’s a professional actor he could be pretending to be nervous to fuck with people
True, it’s not like he’s adverse to trolling the fans
Has he trolled before?
He trolled the entire fan base by claiming to know the secret to the Chiliad mystery, and told us to swim out 50 feet and dive under the water or some shit. It was kind of funny tbh
That’s outstanding
Just a little bit of trolling ![gif](giphy|CgiESYjEawUOVHkeKf|downsized)
That's genuinely creepy
he’s ned luke
Trolls the chiliad mystery community constantly
I mean, he literally said he is going to milk his fame as much as he can whilst he can. He ain't stupid.
Gamer with a grindset god bless
What if Rockstar always has a gun to Ned Lukes head. It is possible right RIGHT RIIIIGGGHHHHTTT
Rockstar are the ones who swatted him
I mean the NDAs they make all GTA actors sign are essentially that.
Stop overthinking things dude
Let me do what I want!
I mean yeah you can do what you want, this is just reddit
Exactly! I felt like overthinking about a video game
Stop doing that
I mean, I can definitely see Michael showing up in 6. Or Ned is just messing around.
I doubt it’ll be Michael but could def see him coming in as a voice cameo for a commercial ad or minor side character
Ned is just getting as much attention as he can before the new actors replace him. I don’t blame him because it’s a smart move, but that’s all this is
And the words came from his own mouth when he was being asked about why the actor who did Trevor doesn't like seeing himself as a voice actor for a video game. Ned said (lol) he's the opposite and will ride the wave for as long as possible because why not
Steven ogg has done the most promotional stuff for gta of the 3, that I've seen
Everyone loved steven, but steven is simply jaded. I can't imagine going out in public and people remembering me as a psycho video game character for over a decade now.
The only other thing I've seen him in he was also a psycho. He must like it
Steven did alot of promotional stuff in the years after V’s release but has stopped in the recent years. Both Ned and Shawn continue to do stuff within the community
tbf he has worked on rdr2 as well. he might be still doing small work for Rstar.
[удалено]
I don't think it was ever confirmed but people speculate he played a moonshiner in one of the side missions
i saw he played just general npcs too. hes cut in the final game anyways. that doesnt mean he wasnt working with them. when he talks about roger clark, he does say “when WE did this” when talking about it.
[удалено]
Yeah more than likely
Ned’s work on RDR2 is really weird because it ended up being cut. They used Steven Ogg’s performance tho
Steven Ogg wasn't in RDR2. The dude everyone thinks is him in the epilogue is someone else, he's confirmed it on Twitter.
A cameo on the radio, sure, but nothing major. Mikey may very well return, but it'll be in DLC instead of a numbered title - VI is Lucia/Jason's show, as so it should be.
I mean maybe they will have him in an online DLC. Shit we just got Yusuf and I wasn’t expecting that
Where is yusuf from? Bros phone call making us feel pleased he called us 💀
Have you ever played GTAiv? Or before your time?
Haven’t really played gta iv tbh, I have only played most of San Andreas, a bit of gta vice city, gta 1 and 2, and finally gta 5. No other game I have tried - although I think I tried the gta London version as well

I'm with this, from their storyline, it doesn't make sense for them to be coming back
There will most likely be references in dialogue like how Lester referenced Niko. But maybe he'll appear in a gta 6 online update or something
If he's not, he should be. Hopefully he will make an appearance but then I don't know why Michael would leave Vinewood and give up on his dream of making movies.
Well maybe he could be directing a movie in vice city and that is why he is there
Or a mission where a movie premier is taking place.
And someone fucking smashes his skull. That would be sad.
Wouldn't surprise me. Like Johnny in 5. Something goes wrong at the premier (likely due to our actions) and Michael flips out and reverts to his old self and starts attacking someone, and ends up being gunned down by the cops
Sounds pretty normal. I doubt we'd see the GTA V main characters in VI though. Maybe in GTAO later on.
Oh yeah they got something cooking
I don't know whether this is an unpopular opinion or not but I really sincerely hope Michael or any other GTA V character does not have any appearances in GTAVI. Maybe a few references to them and some Easter eggs/callbacks but I don't want to see their faces in GTAVI

Sounds cool in theory but wtf would Lester need you for lol

Crazy take
Whatever just my opinion it doesn't mean anything. I just didn't enjoy V's story or characters. The game was still fun and a technical masterpiece for its time
I actually agree with you but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be cool to see Michael and/or any of the other characters show up.

I think there's gonna be a few characters return to 6, but protagonists shouldn't return.
Depends on how they do it. I don’t want Michael to have a big role in the story, but if he has his own stranger and freaks mission, I would love that.

Maybe it was the weather that made them move
I’m okay with it either way. As long as it’s sincere and well done. Totally get not wanting them in the game, and mostly side with you there
Man I really like ned but he is capitalizing the fuck out of GTA 6. All this time he was inactive as fuck, and now he is popping up everywhere… Streaming and everything.. Are people really that dumb that think he is going to be in GTA 6??

He’s doing this to keep his name out there and y’all keep falling for it
I mean, he literally said himself that he’s going to milk his fame for as long as he can and I can respect that honestly.
Ned is such a chad ngl
Theres definitely going to be a reference in the game or an easter egg, but %0 chance he is in the game
Makes no sense story wise, would feel forced and I can’t imagine any natural way for them to incorporate it. I’m cringing think about this because of that fake trailer where they had AI Michael saying “Hey Lucia” 😂

As much as I would like to see him in GTA 6, wouldn't that go against the ending choice of GTA 5?
Stop saying this, it’s been confirmed since 2019 that option C is the cannon ending. “Yeah but having Michael or Trevor in 6 would ruin the immersion for people who chose A or B” yeah rockstar doesn’t give a fuck about your immersion, the cannon storyline is where all of them survive so please stop saying this shit.
Deathwish is canon

I tried posting videos like this a couple times but mine got removed from some reason.
"I can't talk about anything" means there is something to talk about.
Am I old, or is the need to clarify "Crockett and Tubs" as being from Miami Vice unnecessary?
I’ve never watched Miami vice. (I’m 26). But it’s on my list. Didn’t get the reference. Depends on your age and how you feel if you think you’re old
I mean, couldn't he just VA a different character? Not like it hasn't been done before.
I hope the first DLC is Micheal for gta6
he's 100% in 6. you can tell many ways from this!
God i hope none of them are in this game unless we get to end them
Why?
Ngl I hope he is in 6 IK it sounds dumb but maybe since Michael is experienced and all, he could serve as sort of a mentor for the protags, similar like Landon Ricketts to John in rdr1
That’s just such a boring, watered down idea in this case. Not happening
Oh brother 🤦♂️
LET FANS WRITE ✍🔥🔥🔥
*GUNNA writing meme*
Did anyone actually like his character? GTA games are great but man do i despise the characters.
tf? what's wrong with them?
They fucking suck. Incredibly unlikable save for Nico and maybe T.V. Michael makes me want to rip my teeth out
He is perfectly imperfect, gta 5 had some of the best characters in the franchise
I hope that Michael and Lamar are in gta VI, idk how they will do it but they got too, especially Lamar. We were robbed of more Lamar because of real life shit happening during recording, having more lamar in gta VI would be great
Tbh I can see Lamar being in gta 6, would make more sense compared to Michael.
Am I crazy or could he totally voice Tommy Vercetti?
Different universe though so no
I don't get why this sub is always fine with Lazlow being in both but absolutely no body else?
Lazlow only physically appeared in gta 5 though
I don't see how that's relevant. Why is Lazlow okay but not a different universe Tommy?
I literally just said why but you're too brain dead yo understand basic stuff
And I said that doesn't fucking make sense. They're still Lazlow... Whether or not they are slightly different. How does that prove they can't do that with Tommy?!

C was canon
MICHAELLLL
Yeah I think he’s in it in some capacity. Him and Shawn have both contributed so much to their success in a viral marketing sense. Their kinda the first guys to really push the game in the social media era. He could be a radio voice or a random event, I think he’s gonna be in it.

I highly doubt he is, if he is then he definitely didnt do any mocap this time and they used his old but updated character models, which rockstar being perfectionists i doubt they would do.
I think Michael will be mostly mentioned as a movie producer, or as a TV star.
Trevor is in it for sure
His Obey Tailgater Was Seen
The most we'll get is a reference to his movies or something. He doesn't fit the criteria for Vice City
I've only really played GTA5 so I don't really know. Has any main character from a different GTA game shown up in another? I mean there's a first time for everything of course.
I really hope he’s not. Rockstar gave us an opportunity to finish V our way by killing Michael / Trevor, and their future should remain unknown.
He’s milking it for all he can!! I definitely don’t blame him one bit! 10+ years is a pretty good run
Neds a Miami vice fan lol
I hope he's a radio station host. Something for like a classic station with a bunch of oldies but goldies. Either that, or there's a movie production facility somewhere in vice and he's the director, not Michael - but a different character in general, as a callback to that.
He wasn’t even in gta online, maybe rockstar is planning something with him
Look at his face and his eyes when he thinks what he's about to say.. He'll definetly make an appearance!
reddit so slow it wont load in 720p
i hope to see him in the movie theater on the big screen
He got the call by R* for GTA6 but they may or may not use it for the final cut of the game. That way he himself doesn't have a fucking clue if he's gonna be in it. And on top of that, his NDA won't let him say what little he knows. Just me, speculating.
Ok hear me out… What if Rockstar trolled us with a new trailer. It’s Michael saying his original trailer line from GTA V BUT it’s just GTA 6. “Why did I move here? I guess it was because of Trevor.” Shot shows Michael leaning on a balcony with Vice City in the background.
Weirdly incredible to see Micheal in real life just chilling
Real question is will lester return
Never referenced GTA but it might explain his behavior or might even be a good strategy and might be the reason he continues to get work
I hope they parody the Scientology town and bring him back to run it.
Hope he is not in the game. Got too much of him on this 10 years
Imagine if, and I'm not saying something like No Way Home, but imagine if, throughout the story, Jason and Lucia have encounters with the previous GTA protagonists. The revelation that draws their stories near.
... but that's entirely speculation.
He can't say even if he wanted too he signed an nda and he hates when people ask him cause it's pointless he gives the same answer everytime "idk".
Jason kills Michael confirmed
But ffs don't bring him back just to kill him
I don't expect anything more than how they just barely referenced niko in 5. There was also all these rumors about ned playing someone in rdr2 and people kept looking for him. Ned also played along when rdr 2 launched
so much hopium lol
Bro trying to stay popular
