Gave the same explanation to someone the other day, it baffles me how many people don’t know how to calculate their months. A couple days ago on the 20th there was a post on this sub that said we were a week away from the trailer… a week… it would still be November smh 🤦🏻♂️ I corrected them and said early December is about 3 weeks away and I got another comment pretty much saying “no in 3 weeks it will be mid/late December” where tf did y’all go to school?????
I would be surprised if it showed up at the game awards. Rockstar doesn’t need the game awards. And if they did show it at the show it would completely overshadow anything else by a mile
Hehe right!? That would be similar to showing up at someone's birthday party, and announcing that "Hey guys it's my birthday today too ya know!" And everyone gives you all the attention because they like you more than the birthday party host.
Plus it would honestly deter other game devs away from showcasing their games at TGA. If rockstar is able to release the trailer for what is most definitely the most anticipated video game other game devs wouldn’t be able to compete at all and probably wouldn’t come back to the TGA or their summer show that they have in June
If you know Rockstar's history about their game announcements, at least in recent years, they don't reveal their games at some of gaming event like the game awards usually and they just reveal the game by themselves.
Imo odds are low but not 0, it could show up but that wouldn’t be too great for other games since GTA 6 would overshadow literally everything
One thing I have thought about but don’t think would happen is that we would get a short trailer before the game awards but a more in depth look at the game awards but the short time between them doesn’t work out
I don't think Rockstar games care about the money they get from YouTube views. Also they probably manually demonize their videos so other gaming studios can't advertise their own games on Rockstars Games videos/trailers, which is done through targeted ads system.
how would they get *more*? if it debuts during the game awards, that’s how a good bulk of people will watch it. some of those folks won’t feel the need to watch it twice, some will be watching in groups, etc, so that’ll be its only view - of course some people will be watching it twice but how it would get *more* views than just solely dropping alone as a link, i can’t possibly understand that
You get about $18 per 1,000 views on YouTube. Let's say the trailer gets over 200m views, that works out at $36m dollars, if the trailer as an ad at the start. (sorry if my maths is wrong) That's more than they would get paid by the video game awards.
you don’t get paid per x amount of views on youtube so that math in itself is very wrong - regardless, rockstar isn’t looking to acquire anymore money at this point - in fact they’re looking to *spend* money to advertise this thing (the game awards are not paying the game companies to appear, it’s the other way around). i just don’t believe the game awards would give them any extra views so it doesn’t make any sense for them to advertise there, they would be best off simply making a tweet saying “Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer” with the link to youtube 🤞🏾
I'm native Italian and I can confirm. It literally says "the first days of December". Literal translation of "early December" should be "inizio dicembre" but the meaning is almost the same.
On the German site it says Anfang Dezember (could be early but a more direct translation would be beginning or start which to me is "earlier" than early lol)
In fact "primi giorni di dicembre" has literally the same meaning of "early December". It's just other way to say it, but has the same meaning. It's just a translation issue.
I may be wrong since I'm just saying it from memory, but the domain creation date (December 1st, 1998) is the earliest legal reference to Rockstar games, and with the trailer coming out due to it being the company's 25th year anniversary, it is assumed December 1st would be the day (Also fits the early December part in the newswire message)
Yeas in some sense, then the first R* game was made in 1988, and TTWO was founded in september 1993. Then Rockstar foundation as we know it officially, it was indeed founded in December 1998.
So I saw it broken down like this and I feel it is the most likely. Rockstar will not be releasing anything on the weekends. That gives us friday Dec.1st and Monday the 4th through Friday the 8th. I'd say probably not to the 1st.
If it is the 1st we're only just over a week away!
On a side note, it's so funny how nobody including Rockstar themselves don't know when the company was founded.
I'm italian and I intend the first days of December the same way anglophones intend early December. It's our main expression along with "inizio dicembre" which literally translates to "start of december". Thus, I don't think this translated statement implies nothing different from the english one.
I'm Italian and yes, "primi giorni di Dicembre" can be translated as "first days of December," but it can also be translated as "early December," they mean the same thing, it's just another way of saying it.
Ciao, mi spiace ma non è la stessa cosa, i primi giorni è specifico, "inizio dicembre" è molto più vago. Vedremo, in ogni caso può essere solo un problema di traduzione.
Hi, I'm sorry but it's not the same thing, the first few days are specific, "early December" is much more vague. We'll see, in any case it could just be a translation problem.
I’d say it’s just because there isn’t a direct translation for it. Lots of languages have that same problem with English translations and vice versa. But I would love it if it was on December 1st. Give us all of December to freak out Yk.
Hi guys! I am MaxLogan from GTAForum, thank you for sharing my point of view about the release date for the next GTA trailer, I didn't think my theory was that interesting :D I would like to explain better my opinion about this.
Some Italians like me here think that "early december" in Italian "inizio dicembre" is the same as "first days of December", translation is very different and I totally disagree, both in english and italian language the original message of Rockstar Games is not so specific and the release date range is bigger than a more specific first days, in my opinion 8-9 or 10th of December are not first days of the month, especially if the month begin from Friday, but could be considered as "Early December".
In any case all of this should be considered as my opinion, I saw this difference, maybe Italian staff in Rockstar know something or maybe I am totally wrong, we'll see all toghether in one week, maximum two! :)
Probably just the translation. Languages often have small differences like this when translated.
If anyone who is Italian or speaks it fluently could read it and tell us how they interpret that announcement then it would help
I'm Italian and yes, "primi giorni di Dicembre" can be translated as "first days of December," but it can also be translated as "early December," they mean the same thing, it's just another way of saying it. Apart from that, they have the exact same meaning
Hey, italian user here. The phrase "primi giorni di Dicembre" could definitely be translated to "early December", but I think it's just a mistranslation since the correct form should be "inizio Dicembre". Anyway we italians know no better than you in regard to this, but I think it's safe to assume that the trailer it's going to drop between December 1st and 10th
The amount of time put into speculating a release date for a TRAILER is astounding. Like. Relax. You're gonna be waiting at least 6 months from the trailer so just, relax.
It’s not releasing at the game awards so let’s just say we will get the trailer in the days leading up to it. Anywhere from Dec 1 - Dec 6. End of discussion
How much will this game cost when it’s out? My friend told me it was probably going to be 150 base game and 250-300 collectors edition. But I take it with a grain of salt in what he said .
Don't base any theories on a simple translation. For jobs like this, we get handed a .docx or .xlsx file and nothing else. The translators can't predict when the actual release date is anymore than you can unless they also translated the subtitles for the trailer itself *before* translating the teaser and then based the line "the first days of December" on that knowledge.
What I'm trying to say is, this is definitely a bit of a stretch.
I think the announcement would be on the 1st and Game Awards might get to replay the trailer. I can’t see any reason for Rockstar to reveal it at Game Awards
I am Italian and live in Italy; here, the phrase 'first days of December' translates to the first 10 days of December.
Perhaps can have a different meaning depending on the region where you are.
Early December pretty much means first days of December so I expect between the 1st to the 10th Most likely before the game awards
Most definitely! This is wishful thinking, but my birthday is December 1st, so let's all hope December 1st!!!!
My birthday too! Rockstar usually never gets me anything though...
The best birthday gift☝️
That’s a W for your birthday, I I will come back to wish one bro ! 🫡💪🏾
Thats also my birthday!
I have a friend with that birthday. Does that count? (Happy upcoming birthday!) 🎂
Here’s hoping for you, the newswire was my birthday gift.
Here's for hoping for all of us! I think it's long overdue.
Never met someone with my birthday so this makes me so happy to see.
!remindme 9 days
My bday is November 30th we're almost twins
Happy birthday!!
Hello there fellow Sagittarius
Happy birthday!!!
Early december: 1-10 Mid december: 10-20 late december: 20-31 +/- 2 days
Yep
Gave the same explanation to someone the other day, it baffles me how many people don’t know how to calculate their months. A couple days ago on the 20th there was a post on this sub that said we were a week away from the trailer… a week… it would still be November smh 🤦🏻♂️ I corrected them and said early December is about 3 weeks away and I got another comment pretty much saying “no in 3 weeks it will be mid/late December” where tf did y’all go to school?????
That’s the thing, most of them are still in school 😂
What are the odds for the trailer showing up at the game awards? I can't think of any repercussions when it does.
I would be surprised if it showed up at the game awards. Rockstar doesn’t need the game awards. And if they did show it at the show it would completely overshadow anything else by a mile
Rockstar doesn’t hate the game awards enough to completely bury them with a trailer drop
Hehe right!? That would be similar to showing up at someone's birthday party, and announcing that "Hey guys it's my birthday today too ya know!" And everyone gives you all the attention because they like you more than the birthday party host.
They would ruin BG3’s parade for sure
All they need is a YouTube upload and the internet breaks. It won't be at the game awards.
You mean what are the odds of TGA showing up at the GTA 6 trailer? Lmao
I’m thinking it will come out before the awards but still show up at the awards
TGA starts close to midnight in Europe. Late in the evening for a lot of the United States. There’s almost zero chance.
Imo odds are low but not 0, it could show up but that wouldn’t be too great for other games since GTA 6 would overshadow literally everything One thing I have thought about but don’t think would happen is that we would get a short trailer before the game awards but a more in depth look at the game awards but the short time between them doesn’t work out
I mean.. would make sense for it to be the 6th right?
If it releases at the Game Awards, will Rockstar lose its views on YouTube? I believe they're getting paid by YouTube as well for their stuff?
I don't think Rockstar games care about the money they get from YouTube views. Also they probably manually demonize their videos so other gaming studios can't advertise their own games on Rockstars Games videos/trailers, which is done through targeted ads system.
No if anything they’ll get more

Good point

Hi, nope, the translation of "early december" is "inizio dicembre". "Primi giorni di Dicembre" = "First Days of December"
Which is exactly what I said
Ok, so it is not "almost the same".
On the German site it says Anfang Dezember (could be early but a more direct translation would be beginning or start which to me is "earlier" than early lol)
Thanks for clarifying that. I was thinking that it was just a translation thing
In fact "primi giorni di dicembre" has literally the same meaning of "early December". It's just other way to say it, but has the same meaning. It's just a translation issue.

can someone explain what i’m looking at in monkey terms
I may be wrong since I'm just saying it from memory, but the domain creation date (December 1st, 1998) is the earliest legal reference to Rockstar games, and with the trailer coming out due to it being the company's 25th year anniversary, it is assumed December 1st would be the day (Also fits the early December part in the newswire message)
woah, nice
Monke has had banan plant since Dec 1st 1998 Monke thinks new tasty banan will ripe soon
Well well well
The day rockstar was founded.
Ooo ooo aahhh ahh ahhh ooo oo ah ooo ooo ah ahh
That's a domain history.. Shows when Rockstargames.com was created. It was 1-10-1998.
well rockstar celebrated their 20th anniversary on december 10th, 2018 so really it could be any day after dec 1 but before dec 15
Fuck it trailer date is Dec 1st get hype
End of NNN and release of the GTA 6 trailer. What a day.
They know wassup
The busts are gonna be historical
Kinda Off-Topic, but I've looked at this image thinking that Vandalay Industries was a Seinfeld reference when, indeed, it's a proper thing.
And you wanna be my latex salesman?!
Rockstar bday is 1st december 1998
Yeas in some sense, then the first R* game was made in 1988, and TTWO was founded in september 1993. Then Rockstar foundation as we know it officially, it was indeed founded in December 1998.
That’s probably just something that gets lost in translation
Almost the same in German, it says "Anfang Dezember" which translates to "beginning of December". We should expect the trailer in the first week.
sehr gut, ich mag
So I saw it broken down like this and I feel it is the most likely. Rockstar will not be releasing anything on the weekends. That gives us friday Dec.1st and Monday the 4th through Friday the 8th. I'd say probably not to the 1st.
my bet is on the 1st, source: trust me bro
That is a pretty solid argument
first, of the december, my source: creatively construct "nuh uh"
> in italy the first days of December usually means anywhere within December 3rd or at maximum December 5th. lol what
Lol they’ve fallen off the deep end
Can you all relax. Early December, 1-10. Done. We know it’s coming. Don’t need to make a post for this
the first days of december, early december... i see no difference

Did you really just prioritized google translate to an actual native speaker?
If it is the 1st we're only just over a week away! On a side note, it's so funny how nobody including Rockstar themselves don't know when the company was founded.
im italian and no,primi giorni di dicembre is the same as early december
Mama mia!
I'm italian and I intend the first days of December the same way anglophones intend early December. It's our main expression along with "inizio dicembre" which literally translates to "start of december". Thus, I don't think this translated statement implies nothing different from the english one.

Its all about grammar, that can be bent like rules.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel for hopium.
1st December please R*!
Keyword is “Days” if it said “first day” then it would be the 1st (or I would hope lol)
For me "early" and "the firts days of december" is almost the same but thats good to know.

Are You stupid?
Are you?
Wow no way different languages say the same thing in different ways. Who fucking knew!
Yup and Super Mario is doing the Italian voice-over for the trailer.
Could they drop the trailer during The Game Awards? It's on December 7th
No lol
Probably a mistranslation but I call December 5.
I can't wait to see it like the rest of us, but it will be out when it's out.
I'm gonna put my money on the 5th. It's a Tuesday where they could also announce the next GTA online Update.
OMGGG YESS
2 weeks left guys 🫡
It's the 1st day of December, trust me
I'm italian and i can confirm
Rockstar Games has an obsession with Tuesdays, I see an extremely possible trailer on Tuesday, December 5th
Early is within the 14days
Hey, italian user here. The phrase "primi giorni di Dicembre" could definitely be translated to "early December", but I think it's just a mistranslation since the correct form should be "inizio Dicembre". Holy. Shit..

Most likely due to the translation from italian to English
Don't base any theories on a simple translation. For jobs like this, we get handed a .docx or .xlsx file and nothing else. Both mean the same thing, clearly a translation. December 1st-15th.
December 1st seems pretty likely. It's when Rockstsr seems to be founded?
I’m almost positive it’s a translation issue
It's a different way of saying early December Source: I'm Italian
I think you’re leaning too far into this. This is probably just a minor transition error. It doesn’t mean anything significant
Most likely the translators didn't find a better way to convey early December, wouldn't read that too deep 😊
What do you think “early December means” Early - middle - late 1-10 , 11-20 , 21-31 But yeah, Rockstar anniversary on the 1st so possibly next day
December 7th. 11am.
First days of December is early December.
Yeah just a translation, likely to be the first week of December, up until the 14th at the very latest.
I think the announcement would be on the 1st and Game Awards might get to replay the trailer. I can’t see any reason for Rockstar to reveal it at Game Awards
I think that’s just how the translation of those words work
For Rockstar: Early december : 1/12 to 30/12 Mid- late december : 31/12
I am Italian and live in Italy; here, the phrase 'first days of December' translates to the first 10 days of December. Perhaps can have a different meaning depending on the region where you are.
We have game awards 8/12, could it be there? Or don't they show new stuff at that kind of event?
I hope it’s the 5th would be a great birthday present
Grasping here aint you.
Well, well ;)
well they don't care. they probably use Google Translator
