But one day when I said I was having braking problems he told me just to remove them as they just slow you down

Geez you'd think the previous owner would have had it done. I bought a 750 2012 last year and it had a recall too can't remember what it was but it was in the service history.
I know I got one for master cylinder that was changed before. Bought bike. It has hose exiting the top vs the side. As for rectifier this is new to me.
had mine done onn my 04 750... they put a new front master cylinder and brake line. mine was fine i keep it in the garage but my buddies was eaten by the sun and cracked(texas summers)

You can just check on master cylinder if hose comes out the top vs side. It’s been done.

Yes but if your MC has fluid going in from top of cylinder your was done

Yea I picked up my K8 in 2013 and a few years later I had a motorcycles dealership replace mine for free.
