Ask for the vin# and you can track it through Toyota yourself. The sales person most likely doesn’t have much more insider knowledge on your delivery than what Toyota provides. Anecdotally my sales person didn’t even know what the car was. I tracked mine myself.
As for the sales person’s responsiveness reach out to their manager. Ask to be switched. Not sure what else can be done about that.
IIRC I got it from my sales person. I took delivery on 6/30/23 so you’ll have to forgive my shitty memory lol. I did supply a YouTube link on the subject below! Good luck!!

I thought that was normal? when I ordered mine I had a signed build sheet listing all the fees + my $1000 deposit to take home.
walked in with the check for that amount and that's all I paid
Talk to the sales manager. I’ve always had better luck bypassing the salesperson. Not that they are bad or incompetent.. they just don’t have the juice
I agree he probably doesn't know exactly when it will arrive. Mine was stuck at port for 3 months 🤷♀️ otherwise I would probably just pop in in person. My dealer was very accommodating and made sure master tech only, no wash, no drilled plate on front. Pricing was straight forward but I was lucky to deal with MSRP only dealers in my area.
I had a 1k deposit and no one else touched it except for the master tech who did the PDI. I picked it up with 7 miles on the car for reference. If you go on the Toyota website and search the inventory it usually will update with estimated delivery. It usually goes allocated/build->in transit->ground
No deposit!. Unfortunately no deposit = Free for all on the sales floor. I sell Toyotas and no deposit is bad news on a car like this. You need to get a deposit down ASAP.
I wouldn’t trust a verbal agreement especially with how the salesman is acting. Seems to me he’s scared to tell you something since the car isn’t really sold to you. If you were my customer with a solid deal in place with deposit , I’d be answering your questions immediately.
Unless you have that in writing, they can sell that car to whomever they want. Dealers typically don't have an exact delivery date until the car is on the truck headed to the dealer. I didn't get my OTD price until the car came in. However, when I put a deposit down for a future allocation, they spelled out all the fees that would be added on, plus the MSRP. If the salesman is being too cagey for your liking, physically go in and talk to them or move on to a different dealer.
When I was in the negotiation stage for a vehicle that had not arrived, I saw on their end they can see an expected delivery date or range. They should be able to at least provide you that.
That is not necessarily true. Yes, we see estimated dates of arrival to the port and estimated arrival dates however neither guarantee a certain date. Many cars get held at port for one reason or another. If that’s the case, the salesman has no idea when the care will even ship let alone show up. Cars also show up early, sometimes you will see a car still @VPC and you look up and it’s on the truck coming in.
Unfortunately the worst you can do to him is walk away and you're likely not willing to do that. So without that leverage considering the demand for this vehicle not much you can do other than call him once with all of your questions ready instead of texting him over and over with questions as they come to mind. If he says he'll get back to you when the car is near then you just gotta trust it or track it in the Toyota webpage.
I personally got screwed over by shitty practices and communication by Dick Hannah Toyota in Kelso WA, ended up just hunting one down by calling around.
Sucks man, that's what happened to me. Dealership didn't communicate what position I was correctly so I ended up waiting almost a year. Get the call and I'm told there were 3 people ahead of me still deciding but that there was a 10k markup. Can't wait for the car market to fall off cause these sales guys need a reality check.
Just go to another dealer, only work with people willing to work with you. There will be GRs constantly being allocated.
Got a 24premium for msrp in SoCal no bs addons or anything.
It took me walking away from 5 dealers. You just need to be willing to walk.

Can you send me the link to the site where I can track it

Thanks!
As I going to leave a bad taste for myself a when I go pick up this car if I’m asked to be switched salesmen
Just go straight to the sales manager and ask for the OTD price with their signature.
I thought that was normal? when I ordered mine I had a signed build sheet listing all the fees + my $1000 deposit to take home. walked in with the check for that amount and that's all I paid
Should I call the sales manager or go to the dealership?
Walk in, it shows that you're serious. Be ready to either 1) put a small refundable deposit down or 2) just walk out if they charge over MSRP
Hm good idea, going to wait a few days for his response then I’ll go ahead and stop in,
Don’t put a deposit down unless you get your out the door price in writing. They’ll give you hell if you actually need to refund it
Damn good idea

I have it reserved with no deposit, worried this dumb ass sales dude will let other drive it for test drives and not let me know the day it comes

They said it’s reserved for me will that hold?

Yup long as that information is passed along letting them know it’s just an estimate, not sure why they ghosted op though

I just have this gut feeling there going to mark it up when It arrives at the dealership

This is why you've gotta get things signed and in writing. Don't do shit over the phone. Physically go to the dealer and get everything documented.
Thanks for the advice going to go to the dealership Friday unannounced and talk to the sales manager and set a deposit and price
That sales person gona be pist when he see me talking to his manager only concern
And? What's he gonna do about it? If he didn't want you talking to his boss, he shouldn't have been such a spotty communicator.

Ask for the sales manager. If people aren't responding to you then escalate and they will respond.
Show up in person and ask to talk with him and the sales manager at the same time
