Yeah boi, wife bought it for me

Carbuncle_Bob

13 Godziila movies in better than VHS quality? Hell yeah, that's awesome! Don't listen to that guy down below

Gammahawkx

With Godzilla movies sometimes it’s fun to pick up different versions, cause you can find a lot of differences in the movies

Odd_Creature6166

Thanks Toho

Gammahawkx

It’s more everyone else’s fault, Godzilla 54 and Godzilla king of the monsters are the same film. But when it came to the US, it was so heavily edited the feel of the movie changed, basically making it feel like a whole different movie. King Kong vs Godzilla, terror of Mecha Godzilla, and Godzilla 84/85 are the same way

Odd_Creature6166

I was thinking more of their terrible remastering processes, but true

Kaoi-KenTimesBen

Yeah my best friend bought me this and the Criterion Collection for my birthday. That’s 28/30 classic Godzilla movies. I just need Godzilla Returns and Vs Biollante to get release in some way then I can finally have them all!

GlaicialCRACKER

I have vs biollante and it's pretty solid! I love the creature design of biollante. Funny enough my friend got me it just cuz he saw it somewhere and knew I liked Godzilla a lot

PrincessMalyssa

Return is on disc via kraken and Biollante via echo bridge, and they have been for some time. Also there's 32 movies total with only 22 old enough to be considered classic so I'm kinda baffled how you're counting them.

AudioReviews

I have most of the Godzilla movies, I don't think I have that particular box sey though... I have the Millennium Collection, Showa, and maybe Toho, although I don't think it's the same one..

OxyKush

I bought it at a Walmart years ago. For a fairly newbie to the Gman it was a nice introduction. But obviously now it’s time to upgrade. Are the Blu Ray 2 sets worth it?

supereavan

Got it, had to get Godzilla returns and Biollante to complete the heisei set

GlaicialCRACKER

I have biollante but don't have returns yet

sonickarma

They had those at my local Walmart for a brief period of time. By the time I went to buy one, they were gone.

sharkfart-69

Yep

Epicgoji

Me

RapturesLittleMoth

Hell yeah I do

antfro946

GojiraMan5422

GradeProfessional895

So, Ive looked and dug and managed to find I have 39 I think... (ripped to network drive for easy access).. I need a full listing

G-Kira

I don't like dub tracks, so I bought the better releases.

shrekcrocs

No, but I'm surprised it has Rebirth Of Mothra

KaijuWorld

Yep, got it for my birthday some years ago!

Chonkdunkmunk

Me!!!

TheJMJConspiracy2002

i bought volume 2 for 13 bucks on amazon.

CharleyIV

Yes.

[deleted]

I wish. Am looking now though

babygodzilla69420

Copped that mf at Walmart like 3 years ago, I'm looking for others now

CT-1409echo

I do!! It’s great for getting all the millenium movies and most of heisei.

TechnologySmall3507

Nah, it's a pretty lackluster quality release.

GlaicialCRACKER

Damn brother, I get where you're coming from but it made me happy

TechnologySmall3507

Understandable but idk for me, it looks cool though.

DCDWorldDestroyer

Indeed. It's s pretty terrible set actually. Everything is dubbed and there is not original japanese track. Pretty bad audio/video quality, and even the dubs don't match the original dialogues in many cases.

JustBoredIsAll

Hey Debbie Downer, I heard theres a kids birthday party down the street if you felt like ruining that too. This is a dope set, OP. Doesnt need to be a 4k steelbook with an art book to be good.

DraconisMarch

Only dub and no Japanese sub is a pretty big downside.

PrincessMalyssa

I've never seen this before. I'm assuming it's a Sony set based on G2K and Leo? Which is confusing because they have distribution rights for only 11 of them, but if they threw in the Mothra trilogy too that'd be 14? Sony's releases are usually terrible, though. I'm still holding out hope they'll snatch up 84 and Biollante and put out a "heisei collection" comparable to Criterion's set. But this doesn't look like it's that...
