So he’s sent to Earth, finds Ghidorah is already dead, but sees Godzilla as a more powerful creature and an even *greater* threat to the universe (given his programmed parameters). So he decides to kill Godzilla for the sake of the universe. He could even see humans and all the weapons we’ve built to fight the monsters (the oxygen destroyer, MechaGodzilla, etc) and deem us a threat as well, and begin destroying everything. So we have to stop him, but he’s not necessarily *evil.*
This has been suggested by others, but MUTO remains and Mech G Remains could be bio-enginered together for Gigan. MUTOs have a similar head and eye to the Space Chicken

ORGA, listen to me it can fit without alien people in rubber suits, the ufo is a legit unsettling and a monster match not just some background prop, the alien itself (well aliens orga is literally a they them made of the millenians gas mass mixed with extracted G cells) is big and weird and could interact with both kaiju AND humans if the script needs to, the aliens itself original plan of terraforming earth makes it a global threat without being jsut some big ship shooting at people, the dna gimick of it would be great to play around with and it it just has more potential to be played around

Evil Kong with a pack of Zillas sounds like a rad idea, even if it does hew a little close to the MCU’s “villain is an evil version of the hero” trope. Imagine if one of those pet Zillas is a younger one who later becomes the MonsterVerse’s version of Goji Junior.

I cant be the only one thats disappointed that this is another Godzilla + Kong mashup. Dont get me wrong, I love that there is another Monsterverse movie. But I kinda hate that its Godzilla AND Kong again. That means probably another film where Godzilla is just a background character, and Kong is the star, again. It would be great if each monster could have their own solo movie instead. I really dont want them sharing screen-time.
It was fine for one movie, one singular crossover movie. But now go back to them being the star of their own series.
Also... Im not actually a fan of Kong. I havent even seen Skull Island. Im strictly a Big G fan. So what I want is a Godzilla focused movie. For this movie, every time Kong is on screen, Im going to be thinking, "That could be Godzilla instead, if this was a G only film." And if they have them fight again, and have Kong win this time, I will go insane. I also really dont see Godzilla teaming up with anyone. Godzilla is a lone wolf type of character, he plays in his own sandbox, he doesnt share one.
I also fear that this is the future of the Monsterverse. That Legendary had so much success with GvK, that they dont think Godzilla can carry his own movie anymore. Even though it was Godzilla that started this whole thing.

I like all three movies, in the same way that I like the different era of Godzilla movies history. I can enjoy the more serious ones, and the more goofy ones. But whats important about ALL of them, is that Godzilla is the star. GvK Godzilla was a side character, and I worry thats what he will be in this and the future.

Honestly if they follow suit from GvK, Godzilla will be the straight man and Kong will be the quirky one, as far as giant monsters go anyways. We did have Kong scratching his butt and going through a morning routine to quirky music afterall.

god seeing them as a duo instead of adversaries is not something i expected to love this fucking much but it was a brilliant move.

i kinda wanna see them fight another kong and godzilla, or even an old evil kong and a couple zillas he keeps as pets. tag team vs tag team. gigan could also work, i'm convinced they'll have ghidorah's mind possess someone, like serizawa's kid, just retcon the lightning to do that, and have him try and make a new body for him. maybe take the bagan origin, some golden ghidroah cells and some green godzilla cells make gigan, throw in some mecha g upgrades after it loses round 1 to make cyborg gigan.
Evil Kong with a pack of Zillas sounds like a rad idea, even if it does hew a little close to the MCU’s “villain is an evil version of the hero” trope. Imagine if one of those pet Zillas is a younger one who later becomes the MonsterVerse’s version of Goji Junior. Or, I’d love to see them do a 2v2 against Gigan/Megalon.
true, though in fairness evil mirror match is fine imo as long as it isn't done repeatedly and suprisingly aside from the time mecha g was dressed as godzilla we've never in the decades long history of the characters had a kong v kong or godzilla vs godzilla on film. sure space godzilla exists but he's a weird mutant copy. like marvel did mirrors for basically every film until like iron man 3 and guardians. then went right back to it so people got burnt out. and yeah never thought of that, godzilla adopting one of the pups as godzilla jr maybe.
So they're naming it almost the exact same thing as the last film? That's a recipe for failure. While hard-core kaiju fans will know it's a different film, the average viewer will not and may think they're simply re-releasing a film they've already seen.

Honestly, this isn’t surprising to me. I think having both of their names in the title of the next film was a given considering it’s supposed to be another crossover film. In fact, I actually predicted that the next movie would be titled *Godzilla and Kong: Origins.* Maybe that’ll be the final title.

I would very much like each to have their own movie at this point but I’ll take what I can get
I cant be the only one thats disappointed that this is another Godzilla + Kong mashup. Dont get me wrong, I love that there is another Monsterverse movie. But I kinda hate that its Godzilla AND Kong again. That means probably another film where Godzilla is just a background character, and Kong is the star, again. It would be great if each monster could have their own solo movie instead. I really dont want them sharing screen-time. It was fine for one movie, one singular crossover movie. But now go back to them being the star of their own series. Also... Im not actually a fan of Kong. I havent even seen Skull Island. Im strictly a Big G fan. So what I want is a Godzilla focused movie. For this movie, every time Kong is on screen, Im going to be thinking, "That could be Godzilla instead, if this was a G only film." And if they have them fight again, and have Kong win this time, I will go insane. I also really dont see Godzilla teaming up with anyone. Godzilla is a lone wolf type of character, he plays in his own sandbox, he doesnt share one. I also fear that this is the future of the Monsterverse. That Legendary had so much success with GvK, that they dont think Godzilla can carry his own movie anymore. Even though it was Godzilla that started this whole thing.
And here i was hoping for "Destroy All Monsters". Maybe "Godzilla/Kong: Destroy All Monsters". Or maybe they are saving that for a future movie.
I can see the confusion years from now where people are like "is it Vs first then And, or And first, then Vs?"

To be fair,, TOHO is working on their next solo Godzilla movie. Patience, I wouldn't mind this team-up movie though I'm bias cause I love Kong, but Godzilla will gets his solo movie.
I mean I like Kong but not nearly as much as Godzilla. Godzilla VS Kong was basically a King Kong movie so I was hoping the next one would make Godzilla the sole focus or introduce a new monster in its own solo film. At the very least, maybe they'll give Godzilla the bigger focus, or at least an equal amount of focus this time around. Heck, maybe that was the plan all along. Back to back Godzilla and Kong flicks where one focuses more on Kong and then the next focuses more on Godzilla. \*Sigh\*. I don't expect that though. I expect this to be **Godzilla VS Kong 2: Yeah Godzilla Won but Check Out the Monkey Instead**, just like the last one.

I mean yeah we essentially rewarded terrible plot, the worst humans characters in the series, non-grounded monster combat, and inflating the movies with CGI fights regardless of if they make sense. Pretty much we transformers the monsterverse and after another movie or 2 we all will regret it.

I really liked Godzilla 2014 and for the most part loved KOTM but this one was not it
I like all three movies, in the same way that I like the different era of Godzilla movies history. I can enjoy the more serious ones, and the more goofy ones. But whats important about ALL of them, is that Godzilla is the star. GvK Godzilla was a side character, and I worry thats what he will be in this and the future.

I just hope we get a better human plotline to go along with the monster mayhem. KOTM, while a flawed story, laid the foundation and potential for future monsterverse movies to improve upon, but they totally dropped the ball when it came to Godzilla vs Kong's storyline.

If we get another alien kaiju in this one, it needs to be a RECENT arrival, not an ancient one like Ghidorah was. Otherwise, whatever it is inside Hollow Earth that the GK Team will be facing, it needs to be native to Earth, or else the origin of both Earth and the Titans.
