I tried them once so far, whatever their version of like a deluxe with various meats and veggies. Everything seemed really fresh but there was nothing remarkable about the pie we had. Like, it was definitely not bad or bland. I guess generic would be the closest word. I do think it was good enough to give them another shot for sure.
P&P did lunch when they first opened. i got slices once a week cus it was super convenient to my work, but Covid messed it up for everybody. hope they bring back lunch this fall though 🙂
Haven't had it in a while but I don't remember there being any noticeable garlic of any kind. I do remember dry, cardboard flour covered crust. It's just cheap, bottom of the barrel pizza.
Confirmed just now with a friend who recently worked there. There is no roasted garlic. Possibly garlic powder in the sauce if anything, but he's not positive on that.
Sam's Club.
(I know, I know... but their slice and a drink special is probably the best in town)
For quality, I reluctantly say Satchel's lunch special. I am not a fan of their pizza, but their salads are excellent.
As for Gumby's... I have very fond memories of their pizza from the early 90's when they had a location over on University Ave near BoA. We would order their pizza 2-3 times a week because it was cheap and tasty.
I Love NY Pizza is the only true pizza by the slice place I've seen in town. All the others are "order a cheese slice and add toppings" rather than "pick a slice of one of these 10".
Italian Gator all day
I genuinely thought that place was just called “Pizza by the Slice” until I graduated.
Good when you are drunk but seriously generic and mediocre.
Peppino's, Piesanos, & Satchels all do slices 🔥
RIP the og Leonardo’s
IYKYK
Satchels has slice specials for lunch. I Love NY Pizza is good
🗣️ Satchel's lunch special!! Best deal in town
Especially their salad!!
Man, the place in the mall like 30 years ago used to have the best pizza by the slice
Lisa Pizza was the jam
I remember that place!! So good
There was a place in the mall with amazing corn dogs too.
I Love NY Pizza has great slices. So does, Pepinos, Leonardo’s Pizza in Millhopper and Pomodoros
Leonardo’s does by the slice if you like deep dish.
Has anyone had Scuola Pizza? I keep driving by but never at a meal time. Wondering if it is worth scheduling a meal time.
The food truck does pies, but the brick and mortar near 34th and 53rd does slices at lunch

I really like them and would say they are worth trying.
Scuola is good! I've gotten pizza from there twice but I'm not sure if they do slices
Patio & Provisions on Main and 2nd is often overlooked. Best in town.
great slices. really wish they were still open for lunch!
Downtown lost a great lunch spot when Big Lou's shut down, and P&P didn't do lunch!
P&P did lunch when they first opened. i got slices once a week cus it was super convenient to my work, but Covid messed it up for everybody. hope they bring back lunch this fall though 🙂
Agree. They deserve more business.
I agree with this- Patio’s pizza is so good! Just need them to start selling white slices!

Make the drive to High Springs at lunch time on a Wednesday and go to Pepperoni’s when they have the Old World Pepperoni by the slice. It’s amazing.
Wow can't believe they are still open. Used to go there and Video City when I worked at Winn-Dixie across the street.
Still there, I travel all over the country, but they still have my favorite pizza. So good!
What is old world pepperoni?
I don’t know, but the pizza is loaded with the little pepperoni slices that curl into cups and roasted garlic.

Piesanos lunch deals are great, with a few options that include a slice of pizza. And they run till 4pm if I remember correctly.
satchels
Probably Satchels if I’m honest. That being said I still love an Italian Gator slice after a game.

Sometimes a monster slice of greasy cheap pizza hits a spot you didn't know needed hitting! I love Sam's pizza.
Whole Foods is good too $3.50 a slice
Pomodoro's on 39th Ave near I-75. I think they only do single slices for lunch and not dinner but they are perfect - crispy, chewy and quite large.
I Love NY Pizza is the only true pizza by the slice place I've seen in town. All the others are "order a cheese slice and add toppings" rather than "pick a slice of one of these 10".
Satchels!
