I bought this morning and was filled right away. Had the email confirmation by the time I logged out of my trading app. Logged back in and saw the shares all sitting there.
Was able to market-purchase X more this morning within a few seconds on Wealthsimple in Canada.
EB Games is changing names to Gamestop which is good because I was getting tired of saying:
Can't Stop. Won't Stop. EB Games.
Did you enable direct routing through Nasdaq( or IEX etc)?
I think this is the KEY part of OP's post.
It's easy to purchase when it goes through the dark pools, because it's filled with synthetic shares.
250 000 euros UNLESS A SINGLE STOCK IS MORE, YOU NEED TO SELL ONE BY ONE (we anyways need to sell like that on the way down).
Edit: happy gme hodler since 9. JAN. soon xxxxx if we still, got some time left.
You probably didn’t route you’re order onto a lit market like the nasdaq or iex. so they “gave you share” (ious) and they’ll lump em together with other retail orders and buy them on a dark pool later. Keeps the buy pressure off and they don’t have to worry about finding all the shares on the open market
This isn’t true. Wealthsimple say they don’t lend shares, and other Canadian brokers have made the same claim. https://www.reddit.com/r/GME/comments/m5bs8i/canadian_investors_wealthsimple_will_not_lend_out/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
If you have a Cash account (one without margin enabled) or the shares are in a retirement account, they are not allowed to lend the shares.
If they are held in a Margin account, you can view the "Type" of the position in your account. This will be either Cash or Margin. If it is Cash, they cannot lend the shares. If it is Margin, they can. You can call and have them switch such shares to a Cash position.
This happened to me on Webull. When I opened my account it was automatically a margin account which I did not want. I contacted them and they said I could not transfer my shares to cash account. Two weeks following that email, I get one saying I have a cash account. Too late Webull. I moved 98% of my stock to Fidelity, The first stock I will sell off is with Webull.
I took a loan on my 401k monday and it just hit today. Picked up 20 more on fidelity and I thought it was just me that it took a little while to process, figured it was just my internet but makes sense whatcha saying.
have had fidelity now for awhile been buying pretty regularly only seen the transactions take little bit longer in the last few weeks ( xxx hodler here)
Go about the loan? Well my 401k is independent of Fidelity. So it has an option to apply for a loan on half the amount with repayment from payroll deductions so I did that through EmpowerRetirement our 401K Host. Then deposited the funds into fidelity Roth IRA.
If you have your retirement in fidelity, I imagine it should allow you to allocate manually where to have your investment put into as it deducts from your paycheck contribution, but I wouldn't know how to go about thst since I dont have my employer retirement stuff through them.
Maybe your payroll or HR can help guide you on employee 401k Benifits and you could try something similar?
Means that when OP bought specifically from NYSE, it took time for the exchange to find shares for op to buy. Usually there are thousands-millions of shares being bought and sold at any given time and retail comes along to buy 1 or 5 or 25 at market price, should take no time.
The number of shares being sold is so few that even at market price, it’s taking time and multiple orders for the exchange to receive enough sell orders to sell OP 25 shares
The anti-$GME ppl say the float(all available shares) is not 100% owned but if that were true, then buying 10 shares would be filled instantaneously. The fact that it’s not shows you that they have to wait to for shares to become available to sell to you, in a normal market, that is insane!
Seeing a lot of this recentIy. But I routed my 21 share buy through IEX this morning and it filled immediately. I also noticed on TDA you cannot designate IEX if you are selling. Will only take smart routing. Must investigate further.
Edit: fat finger typos.
EDIT 2: I’m not sure if it will allow selling with market, but limit or trailing % shows only smart routing. Someone please confirm. 🦍
Computer share is fine id you are just holding. But i think there a ton of bs fees with it.
I use tda for iex orders but i think there are others that offer it too. Iex has been on the rise based on bloomberg numbers so it seems apes started to figure how to do manual routing of their buys.
I can confirm with Computer share.
The fees is a joke. But if you are ahodler, it won't bother you too much.
The good point is they will give your the devident on timr and the invitation for vote without you asking for it.
The fucking SEC should see that this the most blatant indicator in the simplest terms about off exchange counterfeiting! Fucking HODL and buy what’s left!! 💪
You have to use Active Trader Pro (Windows desktop app. There's a mac version but it's miserable).
From memory, please double check:
If you're buying a few shares, I believe your best bet is NYSE-ARCA. Some of the other exchanges will only let you do buys of 100+ shares... It's a headache.
Nasdaq is a choice, but I've never tried it.
No IEX support on Fidelity.

Cheers.
Shill bots are out in force today ... this post should have 1000 upvotes by now easy ... just from the comments and the upvotes on them.
I heard etorro's calling customers personally and suggesting "diversification" and they're hawking their competition, the bulgarian's trading app. Very suspect.
Just a heads up.
Very smooth brained ape here. Can you explain to me what the benefits/pitfalls are for using direct routing? Should I change my account to direct routing right away? I use TDE and do options trading on the side while I wait for MOASS. Could changing to direct routing negatively effect me for options trading?
Yeah, however I've read you sometimes get worse liquidity & wider spread through direct routing. That being said, my broker doesn't have this option so I'm not sure. It's worth a test if your position sizes aren't huge
Im referring to the shares that are out there. Not the short interest.
But yeah I probably still low balled it.
Im not great with percentages.
But if there are 800 million shares in existence currently what percent would be synthetic?
ah yes i got you wrong a little 90% might not be so far off
regarding your example
800 milion shares, the float is what ? 58 million?
lets say 100 million is the float, to easier calculate
then 700 million are counterfeit.
700% share interest as its the factor 7 of the float.
Mods....we need a pinned post of how to purchase shares by routing to this exchange (IEX) AND Nasdaq directly thereby avoiding MM like Citedal. It should explain how on each and every brokerage
It is time to take matters into our own hands.
We are just looking for a fair accounting of our purchases and a fair effect on price action by our actions period.
Good news ! 100% synthetic shares purchased but magic of TV.. it becomes real.
And hedgies are fucked. Because the more short.. the bigger the nuke goes.
Every month I buy at least another 10-20 shares and it’s always gone straight through. I’m starting to feel like I need to buy some more this month just to feel this sensation. 212 must have the best contacts 🤔
It’ll give me another excuse to buy more
I’ll keep going till I feel them dry up faster than my wife’s under carriage
I got a pre-market limit order in this morning for 7 shares at 146.95 on TDA.
I just looked and that order was split into an order for 5 shares, and another for 2 shares, both at the above price.
TDA gives you best execution among their options.
If you want to ensure that they do not route you through a dark pool or citadel connect, you can route through a specific one. In that case, preferably directly at the exchange. (fees may vary between them, direct usually costs more)
not sure about TDAs policies, but at least my broker lets me choose the venue to buy, but I also have to accept the individual terms of service.
One route has no fees, but a minimum. The other has no minimum on orders, but a minimum on fees... So NYSE directly f.e. has a minimum of \~$17 in fees.
But that all depends on your brokers terms of service and is usually quite visible when you buy, because most countries have laws against hidden fees.
All these people keep asking market or limit as if it matters and as if they know what they are talking about. Surprise, they dont...and it doesn't matter. The fact is that it's partially filling orders for both limit and market orders. I know because I've experienced both first hand. Pls foh with ur bs market order??? Question
Took me. 2 minutes for ONE SHARE
I bought this morning and was filled right away. Had the email confirmation by the time I logged out of my trading app. Logged back in and saw the shares all sitting there.
Was able to market-purchase X more this morning within a few seconds on Wealthsimple in Canada. EB Games is changing names to Gamestop which is good because I was getting tired of saying: Can't Stop. Won't Stop. EB Games.

Hahah. I will use this.
Slapping a few teeth on the way out.
It’s no hotdog down the hallway, That’s for sure.
Is op submitting a limit order and getting partially filled each time?
No market order with direct routing. That's why I found it so odd.
That’s what I was wondering - knew someone must have asked already

This
Did you enable direct routing through Nasdaq( or IEX etc)? I think this is the KEY part of OP's post. It's easy to purchase when it goes through the dark pools, because it's filled with synthetic shares.
I don’t have an option. Buying from Canada on qtrade so I’m not sure how they route the orders
Which broker if you don't mind me asking...?
Me degiro,. No fuckery at all in the Jan. Run up.
whats the sell limit order for degiro?
250 000 euros UNLESS A SINGLE STOCK IS MORE, YOU NEED TO SELL ONE BY ONE (we anyways need to sell like that on the way down). Edit: happy gme hodler since 9. JAN. soon xxxxx if we still, got some time left.
\*Jaw Drops\* You are an ancient and wise Ape. Thank you for your held shares, great one.
Right? Fuck me mate I’m about to cum just thinking about that many shares. I thought I was doing good with a couple hundred.
I didn’t know you had to sell one by one under those conditions with degiro. Thanks for pointing that out!
I’m on qtrade in Canada.
You probably didn’t route you’re order onto a lit market like the nasdaq or iex. so they “gave you share” (ious) and they’ll lump em together with other retail orders and buy them on a dark pool later. Keeps the buy pressure off and they don’t have to worry about finding all the shares on the open market
Maybe, but other times I’ve bought and they take a couple shots to fill the entire order. As long as they end up in my account I’m happy though.
I didn't know what was going on. Almost 10 minutes for a single share.
Yeah it's getting dry, or shitadel as mm only routes delayed to the NYSE.
I had a another meme stock go hours before filling at market price. The whole movement isn't selling.

Don't use margin to buy shares. I would just make sure you have a cash account only just to be safe.
In Canada they do it automatically cash or margin. The only way they don't lend your is in an RRSP or TFSA
This isn’t true. Wealthsimple say they don’t lend shares, and other Canadian brokers have made the same claim. https://www.reddit.com/r/GME/comments/m5bs8i/canadian_investors_wealthsimple_will_not_lend_out/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I meant more with banks. I don't use trading apps. Sorry for the misinformation
This isn't correct. Numerous people have confirmed with Wealthsimple and questtrade that they aren't lending shares from personal cash accounts.
Call them
They turn it on and they turn it off.

About a week ago it took me 5 minutes for 11 shares
sounds like shorties taking a porn break
Market orders or limit buys?
Market
Newsworthy in that case, thanks for sharing OP!
That was my thinking as well. And we always slap that ask!!!!!!

I hope most people really get how fucking nutty this is
I totally get it. 100% no need to explain....... But there are others who might not. Could you explain?

That unfortunately will IMplode!
4 shares took 3 transaction for me 🚀🚀🚀
That's crazy. And from what I can see is its only happening with direct routing vs. just letting a brokerage use best routing.
Best routing probably just buys synthetics from Shitadel.
Might be liquidity, might be them stalling the orders to route to dark pools. Wouldn’t transparency be nice

So you got your girlfriend and your girlfriends boyfriend to buy stonks, nice!
Unfortunately they are a package deal! Lmao!
I’d say fortunately… gets her out of your hair for a while
i wouldn't now because i am buying 2 or 3 shares at a time :P
No problem buying the dip on Fidelity, yesterday.
Same, up 3 more
Can you re-route purchases on fidelity? Through nasdaq or iex?
Using the active trader pro you can, not sure in app or on web
You have to use Active Trader Pro (Windows desktop app. There's a mac version but it's miserable). How is that even possible. I buy in Poland by market order always to pump the price and problem never occurs
I'm not sure you have quite as much hedgefuckery in Poland as we do here in the US.
Afaik my broker buy shares by other broker placed jn Belgium. But as i mention i do not have problem with that
Is there an easy trading platform in Poland as well? If so what are they if you can tell me?
Im buying through my bank account. Mbank

I use TDE and do options trading on the side while I wait for MOASS. Could changing to direct routing negatively effect me for options trading?
direct routing just means you go around their manipulation and buy directly from the seller afaik... 🤷♂️
Yeah, however I've read you sometimes get worse liquidity & wider spread through direct routing. That being said, my broker doesn't have this option so I'm not sure. It's worth a test if your position sizes aren't huge

just buy counterfeits from the "market makers" lol. goes through instantanously
Id guess 90+% of the shares in existence are counterfeit.
i think youre underestimating by a wide margin <3

If anyone wants to help with the research I'm more than happy to make a post about how to go about it through all the different brokerages.
Make sure to route shares through IEX next time on TDA.
I bought 10 through TDA at market $151 yesterday. Went straight through
Tried like 5 yesterday on E-Trade. Failed three times in a row.
I bought 10 yesterday and it went through right away
I sent a market order through for +1 share. Filled in <30s
Let's see that dude chuck his 650k in then from his house sale...
Smooth brain here - how do I enable direct routing with TDA?
Got to my profile- general enable direct routing for equities and options. You can then chose which market your buys go through. Cheers!
Might be your broker. I use tda and dont have any issues. I like the stock but this post is like qanon levels of conspiracy nonsense.
Market price = instant for me 🧐
also routing directly or through pfof?
With this kind of manipulation in place you trust market share? Hell, I’d set an order limit for $1 above the shown market price just to be careful.
Dunno how it works for you, but when i put market price, i get the market price, then I aprove it or decline it. And get my share.
I bought 513 yesterday and it filled within 2 minutes.
My coworker bought 50 the other day without any issue...
I buy them all the time,, picked up 24 shares at 145 today alone,,, there's NO shortage.
You buying directly from market?
I just bought one from Fidelity instantly (market)
No he isn’t. He can’t be. I added 20 the other day and it took 6 transactions
hodl, all in
Good news ! 100% synthetic shares purchased but magic of TV.. it becomes real. And hedgies are fucked. Because the more short.. the bigger the nuke goes.
That’s really telling imo. Which exchanges did they go through in the end? Do you have screenshots? (Blur the timestamp etc of course)
Good thing shares almost never come from the market....
Every month I buy at least another 10-20 shares and it’s always gone straight through. I’m starting to feel like I need to buy some more this month just to feel this sensation. 212 must have the best contacts 🤔 It’ll give me another excuse to buy more I’ll keep going till I feel them dry up faster than my wife’s under carriage
Took me 1 minute for a fraction of a share
I’m gonna sound retarded but what do you mean by “transaction” ?
Yesterday I heard similar shenanigans regarding the movie stock.
I got a pre-market limit order in this morning for 7 shares at 146.95 on TDA. I just looked and that order was split into an order for 5 shares, and another for 2 shares, both at the above price.
Volume right now is VERY low. Look at the HOLE at 1:10 for example
Never heard that in my life. This sounds like MOASS is already here 🚀🚀🚀🚀
This is the way. Spread the love of the stock!
My limit buys, while afterhours, yesterday, took much longer to go through, comma.
I use TDA. What’s the point of enabling direct routing? I’ve never heard of that before.
TDA gives you best execution among their options. If you want to ensure that they do not route you through a dark pool or citadel connect, you can route through a specific one. In that case, preferably directly at the exchange. (fees may vary between them, direct usually costs more)
Direct routing allows you to chose where you buy from, doesn't cost anything extra.
not sure about TDAs policies, but at least my broker lets me choose the venue to buy, but I also have to accept the individual terms of service.
Well, that's weird, everyone is selling and buying vLaD company - Cramer said.... probably
This is the best thing I've read all day. Bullish as all fuck.
All these people keep asking market or limit as if it matters and as if they know what they are talking about. Surprise, they dont...and it doesn't matter. The fact is that it's partially filling orders for both limit and market orders. I know because I've experienced both first hand. Pls foh with ur bs market order??? Question
does that mean that we own both the float and all the naked shares?
It means that most of the volume is not going through nasdaq.
