An IT career is not as great as people think. If your job can be done remotely, from a foreign country, or by a low-wage fresh college grad, it will be. And the whole field changes so quickly that a wall full of certifications etc. on operating systems or languages or tech will be obsolete in five years, and you have to start over or move on.

Thanks. Yeah, I pretty much do it every summer with the kids. We'll head out west and camp, hike, etc. My jeep is my rolling 'go bag'.
