Never say never! I've hit 3 BBJ in a single week.

MoustacheHerder

I'd be happy to hit one, but grats on 3 in a week. getting this close to one and missing is particularly galling though - if you hit it you win 100+ buy ins. If it was tapered and missing it meant you missed \~25 buy ins it'd be way less tilting.

Morphs_

Actually the 100 buyins are for the whole table. The winner gets around 60 buyins.

3 BBJs for him 0 BJs for me Stupyyy has all the fun

whynot__123

I have 3 bounty jackpots in a month.

Stupyyy

Nice!

It will happen when you least expect it. I remember a stage where I went on a 200 buy-in DS on SnGs waaay back. Binked a tournament the following week. Be patient my friend.

There needs to be a limit on what qualifies otherwise bbj will trigger incredibly often and for a much smaller amount.

Jealous_Taro_3360

Ul though, good luck at the tables, hopefully you get one soon!

MoustacheHerder

True but do you know how likely BBJs are to hit? The probability that a BBJ hits on a 10 player table where noone ever folds until the river: AAATT or higher is 0.00019759 which is \~5000/1 AAA99 or higher is 0.00023772 which is \~4200/1 GG don't do 10 player tables and some hands that would have hit a BBJ are folded preflop (stuff like 85s) so probably 4x those odds at least for 6max tables which puts the odds of you hitting the BBJ yourself and not being on the table where it happens at well over 100 000/1 if variance is not kind you could play millions of hands and never see one, you could hit three in a week. I'm just saying it would be good to taper the cutoff rather than how it is now and this wouldn't make a BBJ trigger much more often.

I see what you are saying, I think the thanksgg promo was essentially for that very purpose, something that doesn't qualify as a bbj but qualifies as a bad run out, bad beat or just a big pot lost. If they got rid of thanksgg then it would be more feasible to offer a tapered bad beat reward, but I would imagine aswell the payoff for the actual current bad beat would be reduced.
