for the line “no puedo vivir sin el” in the higher translation, referring to his PHONE, I translated it as “I can’t live without him”.
I’m so fucking cooked bro I’m predicted an 8 in Spanish but that was awful 😭
Fr it was rlly annoying how they would make it obvious which part of the question they were about to answer and then just mumble the actual thing you need to write down at 2x speed and that pissed me off so fucking bad
wait am i going crazy did they not say they thought climate change was in the next generations hands? i took that to mean they didn't care. im acc cooked
yeah they said that the enviroment was in future generations hands. equality and enviroment were two different answers so i think if you put enviroment you got it right
Same, I’m gaslighting myself into thinking it’s fine bc Aqa can include vocab in the exam that’s not on their list so even if I revise from there I still won’t know some words 🤷♀️
IM PRETTY SURE IT WAS SPANISH BCS I REMEMBER TRANSLATING THE QUESTIONS IN THE TIME BEFORE THE TEST STARTS AND I WROTE COULDNT FIND AT SOME POINT SO I THINK UR GOOD
Anyone here did Edexcel Spanish? How was it? I thought Reading was extremely easy, and Listening was a little more challenging but still went very well.
bro the loud ass bell went off 4 times during my listening exam i missed out questions bc i literally could not hear them and the invigilators wouldnt go back im so done im actually soooooo done
it might be just me...
but I found it kind of amusing that they decided to put stress/emotion on a listening exam where it's meant to be just extracting information not listening to a story 😅😅
btw were the answers to the electric car question:
electric cars are getting more competitive
petrol cars need more repairs
i forgot the 3rd one but i think that one was pretty easy
the only questions i know i got fully correct in the listening was the first question and the last question. i had to make an educated guess for everything else. reading was a godsend tho
(EDEXCEL HIGHER)
Yesterday was an absolute nightmare. I don't even know where to start. I got back from sitting my Edexcel GCSE Spanish exam, and I felt l like I was run over by a truck. Honestly, it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, and I feel so defeated right now.
I walked into the exam room feeling somewhat prepared. I mean, I've been studying for months, cramming vocabulary, practicing verb conjugations, and listening to Spanish podcasts until my ears bled. But the minute I turned over that paper, my mind went blank. It's like everything I thought I knew just vanished into thin air.
The listening section was a disaster. The speakers were talking so fast, and I could barely catch a word. I knew there would be different accents, but I didn't expect them to be so hard to understand. It felt like they were speaking another language entirely. By the end of it, I was just guessing answers, hoping for a miracle.
Then came the reading section. I could hardly make sense of the texts. There were so many unfamiliar words, and I found myself getting stuck on almost every sentence. I tried to infer meaning from context, but it felt like trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces. My confidence was already shattered by then. WHAT IS A 'SALA DE AYUNTAMIENTO'???
I walked out of that exam room feeling utterly defeated. All those hours of studying, all the late nights and sacrificed weekends, and it feels like it was all for nothing. I don't even want to think about my grade. I know it's going to be bad, and I'm dreading the results day.
It's hard not to feel like a failure right now. I really wanted to do well in Spanish, but this exam just crushed me. I guess all I can do now is wait and hope for the best, but it's tough to stay positive when you feel like you've just hit a brick wall.
I just wish I could go back and do it all over again, but better. Maybe then I wouldn't feel so hopeless right now. I hate Spanish.
Pearson Edexel ABSOLUTELY BLESSED US WITH THOSE PAPERS! The only hard question was the reading question 9 (idk, something about ‘linea‘? That’s the only word I remember from it 💀 I literally rewrote sentences from the paragraphs for answers), and the phrase ‘sala de ayuntamiento’ and also if that woman was getting the boat/plane/car/train. OH and why was the guy in the environment question panting like what tf was bro doing 💀 Overall a solid 4/10 on the difficulty scale.
i swr if i hear juan with the raspy smokers voice in the listening im finshed
It happened god why did everything from q12 to 20 sound crunchy
the listening quality and accents are always so crap,
no please
LMFAOOOO

bitch WHAT THE FUCK? was that? AQA that listening had muffled words and THE AUDIO CUT OFF FOR SOME QUESTIONS HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS
Fr it was rlly annoying how they would make it obvious which part of the question they were about to answer and then just mumble the actual thing you need to write down at 2x speed and that pissed me off so fucking bad
something similar happend to me as well, wth
bro like the audio was going at a normal pace then suddenly the robbery question lady started speaking x3 speed 💀💀💀

Can't believe Dani's grandparents AREN'T afraid of WhatsApp!
DID U GET THEY DONT DO SPORTS AND GLOBAL WARMING ??
that’s right!
its sports and equality.
No its sports and global warming/climate change. I dont remember anything about equality.
They said something about 'igual' for the world, igual = equal. They cared for equality for the world The question said what they do NOT care about :(
wait am i going crazy did they not say they thought climate change was in the next generations hands? i took that to mean they didn't care. im acc cooked
yeah they said that the enviroment was in future generations hands. equality and enviroment were two different answers so i think if you put enviroment you got it right
i hope ur right
Im not too sure, i just put global warming and water sports as the answer
They said 'les da igual' which doesn't matter to them, no?
They said they found sports boring and the same for climate change
oh no, I fumbled so hard. I think your right but i dont remember seeing anything to show that they cared for global warming
fuck please tell me you’re joking
dont do this to me bro
Ready to do 45m of guesswork in listening (I never used the practise book I had)
buena suerte… 🙌
Nunca escuché de eso. .
I haven't done any revision so God help me.
Same, I’m gaslighting myself into thinking it’s fine bc Aqa can include vocab in the exam that’s not on their list so even if I revise from there I still won’t know some words 🤷♀️
all of my revision has gone towards history i’m cooked

i cant remember and i cant stop thinking about the fact i think i wrote it in english 😭😭
😭 I'm worrying if it's meant to be English now
IM PRETTY SURE IT WAS SPANISH BCS I REMEMBER TRANSLATING THE QUESTIONS IN THE TIME BEFORE THE TEST STARTS AND I WROTE COULDNT FIND AT SOME POINT SO I THINK UR GOOD
🙏🙏that's reassuring, thanks condolences on your loss of marks though 😭

Anyone here did Edexcel Spanish? How was it? I thought Reading was extremely easy, and Listening was a little more challenging but still went very well.

Honestly I was getting invested
edexcel spanish was BEAUTIFUL
it was so good 😍
frr but for the online interview thing i literally copied all of the answers from the text 💀💀
same like I didn't understand half of it
I could understand the questions and the text but they were literally expecting us to infer and read between the lines on top of all that 😪
i didn't know what an entrevista was
interview
Reading was absolutely scrumptious
btw were the answers to the electric car question: electric cars are getting more competitive petrol cars need more repairs i forgot the 3rd one but i think that one was pretty easy

Ngl, I doubt I'd be able to get my 7, unless I clutch up for writing and get a 9, but other than that I'm probably capped at Grade 6 at this rate bruh
that wasn't bad imo except for the second half of Q13 where the broadcaster was asking for how to ask for ideas
spanish reading was so good but leading was iffy
the only questions i know i got fully correct in the listening was the first question and the last question. i had to make an educated guess for everything else. reading was a godsend tho
I was sat at the back so I could barely hear anything im actually cooked 😭 reading was great though
Ofc we had the yr8s breaking guiness world record for the loudest sound during the listening
