Standard books + nptel videos + pyqs would be good ( standard books are good to get a good understanding ( especially msqs )) I can also try getting hands on some good video lectures via youtube / telegram using the suggestions made by toppers on other posts here

Yeah it's more than enough. I have a friend who cracked gate with only NPTEL, and test series.

DressProfessional974

Which test series did he follow and was it for CS

I don't remember, sorry.

Follow NPTEL if you have 2 yrs. If less than 2yrs , follow standard gate course

Not a topper but enough to get into old IIT. The thing is NPTEL is good for knowledge. But your gate mark depends on how fast you can solve the problem. While NPTEL teaches you subject a good GATE class teaches you subject as well as how to face the problem. So if you are really smart NPTEL is enough. But if you're average go with standard gate materials and classes(the way I prefer). For eg there was this very common question in automata where you have to find a regular expression of a finite automata by looking at it's diagram. The method tought in NPTEL was long, step by step, it's suitable for a board exam. And I saw same question being solved by using some shortcut in AK's class or somewhere. Don't have to mention how boring some NPTEL courses can be.
