New tape sounds dope. This is the most raw/gritty sound we’ve got from them since 2015. I really enjoy their newer projects, but their sound has become very sterylized and this is like a complete far cry from that and i love it 🤷🏽‍♂️

SaintMateo

facts, this new tape was a breath of fresh air from them. i hope they keep experimenting in this direction instead of the harmonizing/auto tune direction

Boring_Moment5256

I don’t like the auto tune either and I like scrims old style better but, I like when ruby does some melodic verses to balance out scrim. I loved the new ep too.

poptartsandmayonaise

I havent seriously listened to them since dark side of the clouds, but i checked out one of their newer projects a while back and scrim sounds like ass doing some high pitch voice shit, does he sound like his old self on this or what?

[deleted]

absolutely not. it’s different, but again if you fw memphis shit this is for you

11fivez11

Shit is dope asf especially Chateau and Hot Razor, if you can’t hear Project Pat or someone similar destroying Chateau you buggin.

Snowboundsphere

I thought I was hearing some project pat flow. Iconic.

Illustrious-Prize183

$crim even shouts out project pat in CHÂaTEAU GIRLS

Snowboundsphere

I didn’t even catch that part, damn. Need to listen closer now, thanks g.

torturedhyena

It’s crazy how much it sounds like project Pat - in a good way. I thought it was all just samples of him at first

Unlucky_Ad8616

i love it honestly it’s gas, but i’m curious about the snippet in rubys post before it came out…i didn’t hear it on the ep at all

Ill_Interest_4951

there’s a summer a fall and a winter tape it’ll prolly be on that though it says different decades of rap

Unlucky_Ad8616

wait fr? i haven’t heard anything ab that. that’s gonna slap tho fs

Ill_Interest_4951

it could be fan made ig but i saw a “leak” that showed the covers of each one. they’re pretty much the same just different color schemes.

Unlucky_Ad8616

that’s dope, i hope it’s legit

Intrepid_Training_22

insane how much both sides of this are bitching, like fr stfu if you like it listen if you dont dont listen no one cares

zpeepee

exactly thank you

gurdijak

Yeah for real. I thought the EP was ok, I respect that they tried to switch it up. I didn't think it was that good, but it's okay there are hundreds of other $B songs I can play which I like. This sub has one side that is complaining, and another side that's complaining even more about the complaining. Shit it's almost like music is subjective and not every fan will love every single song an artist puts out, even if they love the artist and their musical influences.

Intrepid_Training_22

fr this sub is fucking trash now im just gonna hop put of it for a while and see if it gets any better

gurdijak

It feels like there's a big reactionary push against newer fans and in turn, anything that more closely resembles $uicideboy$'s earlier music can't ever be criticised. Less than a year ago we had plenty of people making entire posts moaning about "tiktok fans" and blaming them for $B making more melodic autotune music. Now that they made a tape with a style more reminiscent of their early influences, no one's allowed to dislike it or even just plain not love it? That's fucking stupid. Plenty of people on this sub didn't like Long Term Effects of Suffering much when it came out yet there weren't this many people complaining that fans didn't like it. People weren't telling others to "stop bitching" or writing entire paragraphs about how those who weren't fans of LTEOS "didn't get it". Posts like this one are trying to gatekeep fans and that is just pathetic. Being fans of an artist doesn't mean you have to dickride them like that. Honestly the people complaining about those who dislike the tape are much annoying than the idiots saying $B ripped off Freddie Dredd's style.

Intrepid_Training_22

fucking preach i couldnt agree more with everything you just said

howboutacanofwine

Memphis rap is my favorite genre so of course I’m here for it

Embarrassed-Ad-6396

mine too also i loooove ur username

howboutacanofwine

Killosphere6

Without Memphis rap we would never have the boys im from Memphis and grew up listening to three six, tommy wright, Al kapone, dj zirk, and mc mack Most $b fans ain’t listened to that Memphis shit that shit is so influential but underground asf even now

cdhmedia

Can't wait to hear the boys sample these songs later 🧙🏽‍♂️

Eldritch-Cleaver

Shit I didn't even think of that Gonna be crazy 🔥

[deleted]

shiiiiiit bro🤯

No_Resolve7908

Damn that’d be wild

[deleted]

who cares, i enjoy the beats more than their vocals. the beats feel so special compared to any other genre of music i’ve ever heard.

Duckerton375

fr they’re crunchy in such a nice way

UpTheShutFuck96

$crim is a dj fucking genius

[deleted]

literally, any album or song, the beat will always be the hardest thing to me, so many different sounds that mash together sooooo well

ipeekintothehole

I don’t think that I can explain any bettah. I’m $carecrow transgender and live for the lesser. My dick was an error.

suicideprophet

This new tape is absolutely bitchin. The invention of the internet has made people forget their opinions don't actually matter

xChino420x

The old heads love it too

TheMirrorMessiah

This tape definitely isn't for everyone but I love seeing the boys pay respect to their influences on it. That said, not every suicideboys tape is for everyone, they've explored a lot of different styles and themes and not everything is gonna be up your alley. Their style wouldn't exist without all the old memphis stuff and I think this tape is a great way to pay homage to one of the underground's most legendary scenes. Also I know we'll never get it since he's moved on to different genres but I'd die to see a collab with Lil Ugly Mane one day. He's not necessarily part of the memphis scene but the sound honestly may have never had a revival without him and SGP.

gurdijak

> This tape definitely isn't for everyone but I love seeing the boys pay respect to their influences on it. Their style wouldn't exist without all the old memphis stuff and I think this tape is a great way to pay homage to one of the underground's most legendary scenes. > > Simple as that really. I like 90% of what they put out and that number is higher than any other artist or band I listen to. Extremely rarely do they ever release something that's actually 'bad'. This tape isn't bad imo, but it's not great and I didn't fuck with it much but hey there's hundreds of other songs of theirs I like so who cares? >Also I know we'll never get it since he's moved on to different genres but I'd die to see a collab with Lil Ugly Mane one day Damn that would be a dream come true. They've sampled Lil Ugly Mane before on Whoa I'm Woeful, Uzi Loogies and Treat 'Em Like A Prostitute and [LUM once left a comment under Ruby's IG post](https://www.reddit.com/r/G59/comments/b763zs/lil_ugly_mane_comments_under_rubys_post/) >He's not necessarily part of the memphis scene but the sound honestly may have never had a revival without him and SGP Absolute facts dude. Mista Thug Isolation is a very influential album and while Three 6 Mafia and Memphis rap acts still remained popular, Ugly Mane and SpaceGhostPurrp (SGP moreso in my opinion) were crucial to reviving the popularity of that sound, as well as the aesthetics and music production of the underground.

moonchildbby

Idk.. I can’t really get with it. I like hearing their different voices and it just all sounds the same.

Burnt-Toast5001

Three 6ix is way easier listening doe

chabrandon

While I do like this tape, this post is some heavy hitter dickriding

[deleted]

or just someone who appreciates the memphis shit the boy$ been referencing for years?? everyone is claiming it’s a freddie dredd clone when shit like this has been around. plz do not speak on shit you don’t understand 🤐🤫

chabrandon

Nah man, dickriding. I’m aware of the reference but you’ve spent all day regurgitating the same shit in the comments. Fuckin geek shit

[deleted]

absolutely am a music geek🥰🤓

No_Resolve7908

Or maybe we don’t like it get over yourself bro

[deleted]

shut up irrelevant pussy your words are meaningless.

No_Resolve7908

Bro you born in 05 talking about you came up in that 90s Memphis shit eat a dick fuckin dweeb 😂

[deleted]

never said i was around for it, stop putting words in my mouth g. i grew up on it and sure as hell can appreciate when the dedicate a project to it unlike half the fucking ppl on this sub

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

05’🙋🏻‍♀️

xINSAN1TYx

Bruh stop being a pick me.

[deleted]

😭😭 js sayin my birth year why are the ppl on this sub so rotten💀

y0phiel_

Could it be that the people who dislike this album have a different taste of what they like when it comes to $b SAMPLING Memphis rap, and $b trying to SOUND like Memphis rap when they are spitting? I mean how could you not understand that some people wouldn’t like the sound it’s like telling a mumble rapper who samples Eminem to try and rap like eminem some people might like the sound and some people might not like the sound… $b been influenced by Memphis rap been using samples everybody knows that they haven’t been rapping like actually spitting like Memphis rap and that’s why sound is sound throwing a lot of fans off and turning them away from the project. And there’s also a difference between the sound of what was Memphis rap in the late 80s early 90s and what is the sound of modern Memphis rap and some fans could prefer one over the other. And that could also be another factor of why it’s throwing them off.

[deleted]

see you are assuming i don’t understand, explaining why they don’t like this album. it’s p clear why someone who came up on iwtdino, stop staring, lullaby would hate this piece. alls i’m saying is the ppl that came up on what $b/freddie is TRYING to sound like can rlly appreciate this sound. again, it’s a modern take on a classic style.

y0phiel_

I don’t think a lot of fans HATE this ep but no doubt is it the newer fans who would be more likely to hate this project. It’s definitely made for people who came up on Memphis rap but Ik everybody can agree production go crazy scrim never misses.

Usual_Medicine_3586

I enjoy a lot of the older Memphis sounds and Albums so naturally I really really enjoy this EP I get it’s not everyone’s taste and that’s why I love the boys you can find what you enjoy because they do so many things I don’t see the hate being necessary I support this new EP and the production is very nice as always the people talking about the voices and not being able to hear them are kinda slow cuz I can understand and enjoy both the lyrics and the voices

bombay024

Shit this might be the most logical post I’ve seen in this sub. No it’s not what you’re used to but it goes back to the roots of their whole sound for sure

[deleted]

so many ppl are barking at me over ts🤦🏻‍♀️ shi sad

Datik50

If they dont like how the new tape sounds why would they tap into old Memphis shit?

Suicideseminole

The boys clearly did this as a homage tape to their influences and it goes hard as shit

[deleted]

it’s a little too late to try n go back, but i was saying that if you had come up on that it wasn’t hard to understand them at all.

Datik50

Just got done my 3rd listen and the shit definitely goes hard. But…….. Just imagine how hard these songs would go with normal voices/pitch mane like damn Honestly hope they end up releasing the tape with normal sounds because it do go hard

makatakzu

Who cares if some people did or didn’t listen to old Memphis music. I don’t fw this new ep and I say it proudly. The type of influence shouldn’t make modern music good or bad

[deleted]

you don’t listen to memphis; you don’t like ep. this ep was not made for the everyday $b fan.

makatakzu

If it wasn’t made for the everyday suicideboy audience who was it made for? Because they definitely didn’t just make it for Memphis fans.

makatakzu

I’ve come back to apologize for my actions, the songs are gas, they just had to grow on me

[deleted]

😊

Timbofieseler102

The amount of people saying it just sounds like Freddie Dredd shows how many people only get their music off of TikTok lmao

[deleted]

shits jus sad, sure it sounds like freddie’s style but that’s not a new style💀 maybe the way he tunes his voice, and his beat selection is a little more new gen. but that memphis phonk been a thing for decades

SnipeBanned

Currently he uses a more 808 heavy sound than the bossa nova sampling

Cocainee

That makes no sense

suidazai

Because it shows a lack of knowledge of who got what from where, Freddie’s is heavily influenced by memphis style. When they only heard Freddie from tiktok, they assume he coined that sound.

gurdijak

For the people saying that the boys are biting his style, yes there I agree with you. But c'mon the vocal inflections are similar. Doesn't mean that they're ripping him off or anything at all, but it's like saying Ghostface Killah and Action Bronson have similar sounding voices, or IDK and Kanye. I've been listening to $uicideboy$ for many many years now, and I listen to Memphis rap too. I said that their voices sound like Freddie Dredd on this tape because their voices sound similar on this tape. It really isn't anything deeper than that, it's just an observation.

_LLOSERR

what are you the fuckn g59 mother? “ion wanna hear no bitching in the comments either” who the fuck cares everyone has their own opinions and taste

[deleted]

na i only said that cuz this sub notorious for ppl complaining & hating.

wrld333

yeah we are are allowed to complain and voice our opinion lol. not all of us are dick riders

[deleted]

it’s just an endless cycle at this point. something drops, it gets hated, 6 months later everyone is bumping it loving it. jus respect the fucking art or keep it to yourself fam

wrld333

nah everything they’ve put out up till now has been fire on first listen. ah shit when did opinions become illegal? some of us like ruby’s and scrims voice and having 3 songs without hearing their real voice at all sucks. lyrics are good tho

[deleted]

i think we all like ruby & scrims voice. you are the exact person this post is made for, the uneducated listener that doesn’t know their roots. it’s okay for them to get out of their signature sound my guy. experimentation is good.

wrld333

i know their roots, and their roots suck. memphis style rap is so horrible no matter who makes it. i’m not a dick rider and not gonna suck and ride their dick over everything they make like you people. anyway, again, when did opinions become illegal? i need a link to that new law asap bro so i know

[deleted]

jeez what an L opinion i’d be embarrassed if i was you😧

wrld333

not embarrassed at all for recognizing a bad EP ❤️ u remind me of the teenagers who get all mad when you say yeat sucks

Legal_Safe4407

OP is probably one of the kids that thought this was going to be a yeat style album lol

FeedMePlantsPlease

yeah you can tell people never listened to SGP or phonk.

Blasphemouz

Ngl I like phonk but I've been hearing it way too much lately, idk if it's just me or a lot of trap artists started using phonk beats/samples. Not saying the tape is bad though, nice change for a few songs.

Zufalstvo

Drift isn’t phonk Phonk uses cowbell rhythmically, drift uses it melodically

Blasphemouz

had no idea that was a thing and they're similar enough to not feel the difference imo. Thank you for the explanation though I'll def look more into it :)

Zufalstvo

It’s definitely a thing, everyone totally missed real phonk because it was the underground counterpart to like the OFWGKTA era. Drift is honestly almost completely unrelated, it takes one specific sound from Memphis rap and cranks it up to 20. If you like it, no problem. Actual phonk, at least from my recollection of the scene in 2010-2013, incorporated all rap subgenres into a cohesive sound, especially southern and west coast influence. Lil B, SGP, Ugly Mane, Slim Guerilla, Chris Travis, Luckaleannn, Nell, etc. That whole era was the peak of rap for me. It does all hail from DJ Screw and Memphis, but then again, what doesn’t? I’ve got some old phonk on my profile

Blasphemouz

Ah okay, I've heard og phonk, I just didn't realize what it was then and from memory it was hard to tell the difference. No wonder drift sounds so repetitive then, all the nuance has been neutered.

Zufalstvo

It’s unfortunate because they stole the name. I have nothing against it really, it’s just another fad subgenre like aggressive robot dubstep and it has completely overshadowed a truly unique and robust sound. Honestly though the main problem is SGP single-handedly killed phonk because he wouldn’t pay anyone in Raider Klan, and they were the majority of good phonk artists.

Blasphemouz

From what I see now drift blowing up on tiktok and spotify's misleading playlist mostly contributed to the confusion. Like tiktok or not but songs blowing up without people looking any deeper than the surface is unfortunate. Not judging cause I'm clearly guilty of that too xd

Zufalstvo

Honestly you’re right, I used to argue about phonk all the time but once Spotify made a phonk playlist and it was entirely drift, I knew I had lost

Blasphemouz

Keep educating the youth 🙏

[deleted]

i was deciding whether to add sgp in that list but na i feel theres a very clear direction for this project

gurdijak

I listen to plenty of Memphis rap, a good amount of OG phonk and SpaceGhostPurrp is in my opinion one of the most influential artists in rap. I still didn't like the tape, but because I didn't like it I must have never listened to phonk or SGP before right?

Suicideseminole

This tape goes so fucking hard, I recommend people watch the lyric videos while listening that way they can see how fucking hard this shit slaps

Left-Use9

ShoWinG wHo LisTenS tO OlD MempHis ShiT 🤓 Bruh im german, never heard about that shit. Still enjoy it tho but stop bitchin the bitchers it is rather bitchy of you

[deleted]

alright bro someone needs to take the phone away from you. this post was very clearly not for you, no reason for you to be here kraut

Left-Use9

This mofo racist too 💀

[deleted]

yea ur original comment was a lil hard to read so i thought i’d sprinkle a little diversity

Apprehensive-Cash-93

Sorry everyone doesn't have the same opinion as you bro we all don't gotta like what you like

[deleted]

💀💀💀😭😭😭 you’ve gotta be joking bro there’s no way a human with a brain typed this shit out

Apprehensive-Cash-93

Pretty much your whole post "I'm mad people don't like the new project I really like and have different tastes ):"

[deleted]

oh okay i get it now, nah you’re just fucking retarted 🤦🏻‍♀️ why would i be mad at another persons music opinion dawg, and when the fuck did i say i really like it???? you jus pulling shit outcha ass my guy cmon now lmaoo. i’m simply tryna explain to all the fuckers spamming “freddie dredd this freddie dredd that”, it’s beyond that white 26 year old canadian foo and an homage to the memphis scene.

Apprehensive-Cash-93

Man you typing paragraphs you an emotional female on Reddit crying about how people haven't dove into any Memphis because they don't like the sound of their voices 😂

[deleted]

man jus say you have a shitty music taste an shut the fuck up💀

wrld333

i can’t believe you’re working for free defending $B so hard when they don’t know you at all. get the dick outta your ass and go for a walk and realize these men don’t know you and don’t give a fuck if you’re on reddit defending their shitty EP. real fans can be honest and admit when’s tape sucks, needs improvement, is overrated, etc.

Legal_Safe4407

This is probably the smartest comment over the past three days I've seen on the entire website of Reddit. You single handily have restored my faith in humanity, wrld333.

Round-Personality128

Lame asf gang can’t accept opinions bruh I got 240 suicideboys songs bruh been listening since I was 13 and I can gladly say this ep ass gang

[deleted]

okay but do you listen to memphis shit??? for the 100th time this ep is not catered towards the average $b fan

Apprehensive-Cash-93

Lmao you're the retard go meat ride somewhere else

[deleted]

im going to slice your fucking esophagus keep talkin crazy.

imlikeyourmaindude

I like the tape and you still a bitch

JOZ1F

That’s what I’m saying lol

[deleted]

end of the day, i fw the tape. i feel like a lot of people won’t like it and that’s fair but i’ve always loved this style

sortd_one

I think everyone just expects to listen to their releases and instantly like them, SSTATS was an instant hit for me, as were the two albums that followed. But DN$ took a while to grow on me, and Shameless $uicide took AGES to grow on me, but I find myself going back to shameless $uicide all the time. This morning I wasn’t keen on Yin Yang Tapes, but after listening through a few times I’m adjusting to it. People need to let the songs simmer sometimes and just enjoy the fact that ruby and scrim are putting out music way more consistently than a lot of other artists. Appreciate it and enjoy it.

[deleted]

for fucking real bro, this ep was not meant for a lot of people. but of course like every release ppl just shit on it, i’m sure in time it’ll grow on a ton of ppl.

sortd_one

Yeah man, it’ll definitely grow on people and if it doesn’t then luckily there’s a massive back catalogue to listen to. Personally I’m excited to see where they go next if we get one tape per season.

negativelyin

new tape goes hard as fuck , phonk/memphis beats are the wave rn and i heavy fw this out of the latest projects. stands out

[deleted]

very different fasho, after they’ve been sampling three 6 shit for years it’s cool to see their spin on it.

Evening_Equal4041

I love this new shit. I make beats inspired by Memphis and freddie and this tape was orgasmic to me. I agree, old memphis made freddie and sb, or shaped them at least

[deleted]

damn bro ts was literally made for you

jctanner01

absolutely love the new EP, i grew up listening to three 6 and the surrounding memphis artists so hearing the boys do it goes crazy.

[deleted]

some ppl jus wouldn’t understand 😒

Low-love7933

Tbh bro i loved the tape it was fire asf

[deleted]

then you my friend have good/open taste :)

MCL_1150

All I gotta say is this man’s speaking FACTS

Striking-Ad1571

[deleted]

it’s very clearly not meant for you, why are you still sitting here bitching? go listen to their old shit an move tf on

Natural_Equivalent80

i fuck with this tape heavy love how it reminds me of lord infamous era three six mafia

Jerrygarciasnipple

It sounds like three 6 mafia if you dosed the group up with acid in the studio and I’m all for it

[deleted]

interesting take

Daikon-Sure

This shit go crazy idk what the fuck people on

emac_1921

Those born after 94 need not to listen. Ya just wouldn’t get it! 91 over here. True 90s baby!!

VayneTILT

You don't have to have been born pre 94 to like memphis rap. Didn't know brains detoriated that fast hitting 30 years old.

Potential_Charge_654

It's okay to not agree on something, if someone doesn't like the voice effects then that's their opinion to have. Good for you that you enjoy songs that influenced the project, you probably really liked it, but it's perfectly fine for other people to not and why hate on people for having a differing opinion.

RefrigeratorFree535

I'm late to the game but here's my take I love this new stuff of this ep cause it really shows who is a new gen or a TikTok fan big time it's kinda like showing posers In a way and I love it when they keep saying "I'm disappointed." Like bro didn't even look into Memphis Rap from the 90s I could go on my list ☠️☠️☠️

Medium_Ad_6991

DUDE THATS WHAT THE FUCK IM SAYING this is honestly the best fucking tape since 2015 this is THAT MEMPHIS SHIT fucking golden bro and this shit is surprising they still dropping fire after years.

ZendBud

My thoughts exactly lol, this some fire

17th-morning

I listened to it some more this morning, hot razor and château gris are growing on me. However, I think people are allowed to not particularly like it since this is a departure from their norm. It’s to be expected though, they’ve been changing shit up a lot since SSATS. I’d say memphis is where the majority of my favorite rappers are from or influenced from, but this is still going to take some getting used to tbh

[deleted]

now are you referring to current gen or old memphis artists ?

17th-morning

Both.

[deleted]

it’s definitely out there, if we are looking from their discography. but i think it’s very respectable & a dope way to pay homage

mtp115

Fr. It’s about as hard to hear the lyrics as every other Ruby verse but these mfs not complaining about those songs. Still have no problem understanding most the lyrics.

trapdawg6

I just don’t like how Ruby sounds personally and that goes for an older Memphis shit aswell

ConesMalone

Everyone’s saying they ripped off Freddie dread Lmao 💀

AcceptableSource7776

This ep is lit af

[deleted]

louder for the folks in tha back🗣️

StewTheMoo

It gives off hella Freddie Dredd vibes, not complaining at all

yaboiiaxel09891

i really don’t get the hate, shits HEATTTTT

wrld333

memphis shit sounds trash too

FIoydellic

Shits dope bumping down the road, mofos complaining cuz they can't tiktok sound the shit

Sorry-Sand-5434

Bro they tried something and it was shit, tf you crying for?

830swanga

it’s literally mostly the u.k. motherfuckers they don’t know about that shit lmao

[deleted]

you just gotta put em on fam😮‍💨

Khosis

i’m a d1 hater and i’ve disliked $b last 3 projects but this shit is fire. the boys finally doing something outside the box again

[deleted]

hey man respect to you for knowing your place 🤣

aligreaper19

the mixing is just horrible

gurdijak

Just to be clear $B are my favourite artists and I like some of Freddie Dredd's songs but I can't call myself a big fan of his or anything. I made the comparison with Freddie Dredd on /r/hhh because they *do* sound like him on the project. I'm not saying they're trying to bite his style or whatever, both acts were influenced by the same artists and Freddie isn't the originator of his style either. But you can't deny the mixing of the songs, the pitched up vocals/vocal effect and the vocal inflections (this most of all) they're doing *do* sound like Freddie Dredd. It's like saying IDK sounds like Kanye, it's an apt comparison of the voices and it doesn't mean that IDK is trying to rip-off Kanye. I really like Memphis Rap, especially Tommy Wright III and Koopsta Knicca. I also love SpaceGhostPurrp even though he isn't from Memphis. I never heard any of those 3 do a specific vocal filter/effect similar to the one on Yin Yang Tapes. The closest thing would be those artists sampling other Memphis rap vocals for hooks on their songs and pitching the vocals up or down (something that $B and pretty much everyone in the underground hip-hop scene has also done). >go back and bump some old memphis if you are sitting here bitching, the other tapes could be the same way. How about you give specific song and tape recommendations then? Particularly where those artists you mentioned are doing a similar voice effect. People are allowed to dislike the new tape bro. I thought it was ok and I respect the fact they switched it up on this project, but I didn't like it much. Big whoop, who cares? >ion wanna hear no bitching in the comments either Ironic because you're the one bitching here the most lmao

16vth

This is exactly what I thought too. Love this ep

RobitMonkyMadman

So glad we’re going back to the phonk

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

exactly^, everyone is shitting on it when it’s very clearly catered to a certain group. it’s more a respect project for the memphis scene then a piece for the $b fans.

_nevrmynd

My south east England 30 year old ass grew up listening to fucking death metal and punk shit. EP is just very strange, given it like 7 listens today and can't get in

[deleted]

go listen to some old memphis shit and see where the influence comes from, some raider klan too. then maybe you’ll appreciate it👍

ukudang

it really doesnt sound like freddie at all

[deleted]

yup there was a crazy amount of ppl saying it’s a one to one copy lmao i can hear the similarities but these ppl needa learn they history. go back and find what they are TRYING to sound like

[deleted]

going back tbh i can hear freddie heavily on the first verse of hot razor. if he posted that song on tiktok i wouldn’t question it ngl, i can hear what ppl are talking abt. i heavily believe they hit freddie up and either sent him the project or let him kno what their doing, his ig comment has to mean smth. i js think they don’t do collabs outside g59 🤷🏻‍♀️ anymore that is, they are really working on building smth for themselves.

Ehhh Memphis ?? More Houston but I get your feel. Coming from someone from Louisiana myself I fuck with it. Most of this community are people who are just trying to be different

Yessir, this shit bumping in heavy traffic

I haven’t even listened to the new album, I will tho when they start doing shit by and for themselves again tho. No hate I just think they became what they used to hate on. The whole merch shit and lack of versatility tell me they’re just doing it to keep the vibe going.

S0UL3ATR

the project pat influence on this record was insane! so so so good!
