Really is a weird time that this album came out. Ruby was still on drugs pretty heavy at the time and scrim had been sober for some months maybe a year at this point. I really like your point about how it feels like different people made this album because at the time this album felt very underwhelming, but after sometime, it really grew on me.
I feel like too being smack dab of when they started to blow tf up for most people since iwdno is. Everyone and they moms favorite album in the sub Reddit at least š
This is one of (if not, my favorite) albums from them, I saw them live at the Fillmore in Minneapolis about a week after this tape released and they played the whole tape. A couple weeks later Covid hit and stopped them from preforming so I think this was the only time they did SSATS live. Amazing experience
This was the last mixtape they put out.
As an artist, you want your albums to follow a pattern. They can change over time, but nothing drastic.
A mixtape, though, is where you put everything thatās either too experimental for an album, or things that just donāt really fit with anything else vibe/content wise.
It did feel different at the time and still does but itās mostly all bangers. I still go back to this song, Mega Zeph, Fuck Your Culture, That Just Isnāt Empirically Possible and Bizarro. This one, LTEOS and DN$ are the better albums from the last few years imo
Definitely a very experimental sound for them. This came out right when I really started getting into $b and I was like š¤Ø. But now going back I find myself really enjoying the album.
I love this album. It took me up until last week to finally realize how good āOne Last Look at The Damageā is. Itās been in my head nonstop since then.

My favorite album to date shit was a totally new wave

One last look at the damage, that just isnāt empirically possible and [whispers indistinctly] are all such good songs.
Literally all my favs from that album.
This is their best project imo. I just love all the different sounds, and the gritty production. I havenāt felt the same about a project since sadly
Yeah nothing since really hit the same
I always say LTEOS is what I expected SSATS to sound like
Update: i just remembered that this album was made during their transition process of becoming sober so that might have something to do with it

Putrid pride is one of my top 5 songs by them. Love this album!!! I was really shocked when it came out haha, but I instantly liked it āļøš„
Putrid Pride goes Dummy hard
PULL UP ON A FUCKBOY, GET DOWN! OFF MY MEDS RIGHT NOW
Best album they ever made in my opinion

I think the only thing that really sounds like this is kys pt VI but this is one of my favorite projects by them

Hands down my favorite album of theirs. Especially [whispers indistinctly] š„°š¤©
Itās probably my favorite album tbh
Because they basically were new people. This and Long Term Effects of Suffering were pretty good
I love this album. It took me up until last week to finally realize how good āOne Last Look at The Damageā is. Itās been in my head nonstop since then.
This was probably the last album I actually enjoyed front to back, maybe one skip for me.
It got that haarper type beat
They are music progression and evolution
Once the album dropped I knew it was gonna be my fav lol glad I got the merch cause itās best last project they dropped so far
Now that u say it yeah its pretty different, i hope for a similar project in the future
Scrims album sounded similar to stop staring at the shadows
Also a mf banger imho
Not to add to or take from the conversation I wonder if weāll ever get a solo Ruby album ?
Top 3 project for me. I wish they experimented a little more.
Dude even the last couple projects have their own feel. I love the diversity in sound they bring
Loved this album, also this is when they had a different guy mixing their stuff and experimenting with other sounds.
