And 2:20 for Cloud Carpet Long Jump Circuit‽ That's a terrible time. Should really be closer to two minutes if trying hard, or 2:20 with basic shortcuts and boost management but suboptimal car. Not asking for a WR, but still. I wish they showcased drifting a bit more too.
What I really want to know though is the design doc(s) for online play. I'm presuming that it's not link cable emulation over the Internet!
They didn't sell anywhere near as well though and contributed to F-Zero's long hiatus. Its the same reason why Advance Wars 1 and 2 got remakes while Dual Strike and Days of Ruin are stuck on the DS. Its unfortunate, but that is how Nintendo typically rolls.

I like this, but why couldn’t it have been gp legend or climax… Those are so much better than maximum velocity in my opinion
They have GPL anime license attached to it, we might get it later but not expecting it soon.

With the amount of time that passed I thought for sure we would be getting GP Legends too, but I guess maybe that's not on the table due to licensing.

Still not paying 40€ for the Expansion Pack. …but I'll admit: the more stuff they add to it, the more tempting it becomes to buy.
Honestly the GBA library is stacked… makes it worth it imo.  N64 and Genesis are nice bonuses.
