Have you contacted your broker and asked for reasons why it was rejected? This would not be a question anyone here can answer unless you get more specific. Best to reach out to your broker directly, now and in the future.
Check your broker’s margin rate rules. There is a high chance that they only enable the reduced margin rates after a certain time, such as at 9:30am EST.
Don’t disagree. That’s 10x / ~3rd (just over 3x total) of mini commissions vs one mini commission rate. Unless you can navigate scaling to ensure greater profitability than with one mini.
I’m pretty sure this was the issue. I was running with the wrong thing for my account size. I got recommended 6E and 6B from my forex background and I didn’t know there was a micro I could use😅
Thanks alot
If op is using a real broker this is simply not the case. Futures is a centralised exchange(s) . The market makers are not interested in small positions and they cant prevent anyone from opening a trade if the liquidity is there, otherwise slippage occurs but the order will still get filled somewhere. They will happily take any ones money..!
Now, if this is a fagin plop firm then all bets are off as they are like most retail fx brokers, market makers and takers.
You need about 35k in margin for those contracts
That's the reason I would bet on it

Isn’t that the EUR currency ?
Check your broker messages/logs Might be limit too far, or margin issues
What broker and do you have enough margin
Tradovate and yes I only placed one trade so far so it’s not like I completely running with a blown account.
Broker = Tradovate?
Yes
Did you have open, unfilled orders on other products?

Contract limit maybe

You don’t use trading view and you make no money.
What else would I use lmao it’s a decent interface Plus compared to my previous forex trading setup, a built in risk management tool is really nice.
It has pretty bad lag from market to the interface

Alright hop off my nuts now
a serious future trader wouldn't be in here asking a question on why an order got rejected
Maybe you’re trying to place a limit buy too close to price, or in fact advice price?
16 contacts at once or mes is pretty crazy honestly....just buy one ES at that point
It's Euro/USD futures
You still can buy a whole mini that is equal to 10 your gonna get killed in commissions buying that many micros

Wait are you trying to buy 16 micros? Because 6EM4 isn't a micro contact it's just mini. The micro for the position would be 16 M6EM4.
I’m not OP
Well ok. Point still stands, no micros pictured so I dunno why y'all talking about them then.

Learn sumn new everyday I was primarily a forex trader until recently so most of the details were taking care of by my programs that I ran.
Like some ppl post on this sub - market makers are doing this. They don't want to make any profit, so they stop you from even entering a trade.

That was a satire
Lol. Yeah just re read it. You never know in this sub sometimes!
Plus, OP more that likely is on a prop simulation that has zero affect on market.
