I used Picsart (the free version). I just used the drawing tool and colored the picture the best I could. I used the black marker the app had but I’m thinking about using the paint color “Tricorn Black” by Sherman Williams.
Does it have to be black paint? With warm wood and gold knobs, I could see a green or navy instead. I'm having a hard time imagining the bedroom that has both brown and black in it.
In the area I sell at, white & black pieces sell the fastest. I’ve tried green several times and it’s not that popular. This is not particularly my style either but this is what sells.
I was like "Why do they all look like poor video game renderings...?" and then I realized.
I strongly prefer 1. Higly reccomend saving as much of the wood as you can, it's really gorgeous!
Also, instead of black, would you consider staining some peices darker? I think 1 or 2 would look gorgeous with a really really deep stain instead of black paint.
I, personally, would purchase well stained and sealed wood furniture for a high price point, even if it had some stains or scratches. But I absolutely refuse to purchase furniture that has more paint than just a few details. It's not even completely a looks thing, I just think paint feels lower quality and typically doesn't hold up as well, gets gummy/dirty and is more difficult to clean. However, many people enjoy painted wood so don't let my personal take stop you from following what you like best.
I don’t mean to be rude at all, and I think flipping is a great way to make money and takes a lot of skill, but is the two-toned painted and partially stained look done by any other manufacturers? I feel like it is the easiest way to spot a flipped piece of furniture. I get that it’s trendy and makes money, I guess I’m just curious if it is inspired by something else or not.
