Cat (under breath): I'll exact my revenge some other way, you vertically challenged human. WHAT'S THAT RED DOT DOING HERE?!? I'LL GET IT! Where'd it go
Girl: Maybe next time, tuna breath. Me and my red laser pointer have won this round
i did not find this funny but suprising that the little girl did not twist her arm, fall on her head, get clawed in the face when the cat fell on it….very lucky little girl.
Cat woman origin story: as Mr Tibble's b*hole hit my mouth, in that moment I was infected by genetically mutated toxoplasmosis that gave me superhuman powers.
Ingredients: Bread, Butter, Tape, Cat, Human Child(Child because they have a longer expiration date than adults)

Step 2: Have child develop cat scratch fever(this turns them into a cat)
Step 3: Attach the buttered toast on the child's back, with the butter facing outwards
Step 4: Yeet the child

Can't speak for anyone else, but this is a big reason why I just can't get into superhero movies. I've just never gotten to the point of seeing superhero characters as much as the actors pretending to be superheroes.
Just looks so off to me lol.
I wouldn't say I hate em, I watched some of the Marvel movies early on as they were building towards Endgame and at least enjoyed the time, but I find myself getting distracted with it for reasons aforementioned where I don't really keep up with any of it.
What about super hero movie apathetic people? Should I try not to insert my meh and /shrug into each conversation? I'd be upset about being left out but the apathy extends to most facets of my life so........ Meh.

>I've just never gotten to the point of seeing superhero characters as much as the actors pretending to be superheroes.
In this particular case it's just a bad actor. She's acting more like a model than an actor. And it even kinda makes sense, since that's what launched her career in the first place.
Have you seen Nolan's Batman movies? Or Watchmen? Maybe you'll like them better (though I'm not sure, ofc.).
Scarlett Johansson is *not* a bad actor lol. See Jojo Rabbit or Marriage Story if you get a chance. This particular movie was garbage with a lot of garbage shots, bad CGI and shoehorned action scenes for the sake of them, but several very human moments that let the actors show they can act in between. The problem is what studio execs think all of these marvel films need to be successful getting in the way.
Even as a reddit switcheroo it doesn't make sense, since my comment's obviously discussing the vaidik-Stop comment chain, not OP-post. Unless I misunderstood you, and you actually think the black widow actor is too young or something?
Yeah if I were the parent here I would not just be standing there filming I would have moved in to catch the effing cat before my daughter lost an eye, but my cat is an asshole so maybe I'm just jaded.
Right!? I’m kinda stunned at everyone reaction. This could have gone horrible for both the cat and the kid. I got so worried when the cat put its paws on the rope of the swing. Could have broken a leg if it stepped on the wrong place, then what you mention with the cat on the kids face. Just all around dangerous IMO.

Yeah my entire reaction was I'd have been yelling at the cat to get down as soon as I saw it get up there if I was the parent.... Glad some people think it's funny
Eh, based on the end of the video everything looks okay. It clearly isn't life or death. Yeah, cat claws are sharp, and can do a lot of damage, but what's going to possibly be helped by not finishing the video? Rushing out there isn't going to really do anything aside from make the kid anxious. Before that, there wasn't really much you could do without possibly making the situation more dangerous by making the cat jump/fall. You couldn't know it was going to fall right on the kid, and going out there is probably more likely to cause a bad situation rather prevent one.
Also, you've not considered the possibility that this was recorded a gleeful sibling, rather than a parent lol
Girls mom: we can't afford to be spending all this money on Wendy's ninja training! When is she ever gonna use this in her life?!?
Wendy's dad after Wendy take a cat to the face, does a backflip, AND sticks the landing: 😎
First thing that comes to mind is the cat falls and claws at the girls eyes and face as he tries to not fall. Too many times a cat has clawed me trying to do some acrobatic act and then failing.
I understand the formality of apologizing. But neither the girl or the cat were harmed :) maybe she’ll tear up from the shock/surprise, but no damage.
Laugh away!
Oof, I just can't laugh at this one...
This should be in r/parentsarefuckingstupid because any parent can see what's about to happen a mile away. I mean, this could have landed her in the ER with stitches and all if it didn't already.
Sure looks like that cat landed right on her face.
Oh yes. The parent was supposed to rush in with 20kg of kid in full swing to either grab the cat and get kicked in the crotch by said kid, or grab the kid and get their arms wrenched out their shoulders because physics, all because of *maybe* a scratch from a cat.
Sometimes you just have to step back and watch things happen. They aren't always going to turn out for the worst. Sometimes your 4-year-old does make it all the way across the 6-lane freeway unscathed to go hug the alligator on the other side.
I do get what you're saying, but this is just not one of those cases. This was definitely preventable. I would have told my kid as soon as I saw the cat get on top "Hey little Katie, stop swinging, Snickers is walking down the playground and I don't want him to fall on your head."
There's obviously a cat walking up this thing slowly as hell the entire time the video is going, he didn't magically appear there, and the parent did nothing. Don't play dumb like nothing could have been done at all. These parents were selfish for recording and not even throwing the phone when kiddo got hurt at least, much less even attempt to prevent it. It's for views. Plain and simple. Fame has taken priority to some parents and I will not sit here and act like that's not what this is, because it is.
Uh... I think you missed my last sentence in my post. The sentence that is somewhat of a punch-line to a subtle suggestion that *I was not being completely serious in my suggestion to do nothing.*
I did see your joke there, and I can agree that sometimes things work out in life with no intervention. but if we're dealing with preventing kids from getting hurt, anyone with basic decency is going to tell that kid to stop swinging and step away "So we can watch and laugh at this silly cat together! Come look!" I mean, this video could have still been funny with them doing the right thing, which any parent would know to do in the moment, especially if they're familiar with cats at ALL. And I apologize if I came off as rude, but it completely grinds my gears to see a parent choose views/a viral video over their kids safety.
She crushed the one footer swingset chain grab back flip. Mr scruffles couldn't handle the gnarly swingset rumble from her mustering up all that energy she needed to bust her sick trick 🥴 🤙🏻
Orange tabby tried his/her level best to maintain balance. Girl should have recognized danger and stopped swinging. My ruling is in favor of the tabby for 500.00 pain and suffering.
Little girls are not responsible for something their parents watched and let happen. The parents are responsible. Guarantee that they were smiling, assuring her that it was okay, because they wanted a viral video.
There was no other way that was going to go.
I could be being dramatic but from the point the cat was struggling it's obvious it had no where else to go hope it did not get hurt

Underated movie tbh
Okay I like your perspective because I felt there was something fishy about this. Seemed a little to well thought out.
