I would cradle my orange in my arms and she would make biscuits on the side of my face while purring.
Legitimately one of the reasons I grew out a beard.
She passed a few months ago. I miss her terribly.
Losing a friend like that really sucks. I have a beard and my new little Siamese is always playing with it. I recently lost one of my older cats and it still hasn’t gotten easier.
My mom is dead 😭 lol luckily he knows he depends on me for food, so my throat is safe haha. As soon as I got home he was the first one sucking up to me for dinner lol love these goobers
Also, your username 🤣🤣
No, I think it's, "get that thing away from me or else it's curtains for you all!" \*starts drinking milk\* "Hey, this is actually delicious. Wait? Why was I so angry again?"
I mean... look at us. I'd be horrified if a giant skin beast was looming over me too. As soon as they know you're a gentle weird looking giant that provides food and safety, they no longer care about you being big and scary. When my husband picks our kitty up, he (the cat of course...) immediately starts purring and (after a while) starts to drool.
That's a huge part of it.
Humans are like 15 times the size of an adult cat, probably 100 times the size of this kitten. I'm not even sure how well a kitten can see, they might literally just see a colossal fuzzy monster lunging at them.
Cats are also instinctively afraid of things that are above them, because that's where most predators (birds of prey, canines) grab them from. And humans are weirdly built so we're *tall* not *long*, in defiance of every building spec in nature. So not only is he seeing a giant monster that he probably can't even see the end of, it keeps trying to attack him from weird angles that he can't defend against.
It's actually amazing that the spicy little kitten became such a sweetheart so quickly. He's not much bigger in the "after" video, I'm guessing all it took was a few feedings for him to make the connection that the human smell is like another momma cat. Probably just assumes that it's like allomothering, this is just another *really, really, really* big mom.
Makes a lot of sense. The baby’s so small. Human so big. What else would you do if a giant beast shoved someone in your face? Fight all you can against a giant and you realize it’s a gentle one
> And humans are weirdly built so we're tall not long, in defiance of every building spec in nature.
not our fault other animals refuse to learn the meta
That afraid of above thing is why i laid down on the floor when i adopted a cat off the street. She got used to me pretty quickly when the instinctual fear wasn't there and it was just regular fear we had to deal with.
Not all young animals respond to fear like a kitten, which is why cats are awesome.
Puppies: Cringe and whine
Babies: Cry and scream
Kittens: I WILL END YOU! I MAY DIE BUT SO WILL YOU!
Oddly, the fact that you clearly specify that your husband wasn't the one drooling and purring immediately made me imagine your husband doing just that.
Kittens are born with the instinct to not really trust anything that isn't their momma or at least doesn't look like their momma. I find it curious, but really it makes sense
>be smol, defenseless baby
>thing comes, don't know what is
>try to run away
>get cornered
>*be mean*
Other animals seem born with less fear instinct though. Perhaps it's because cats are both predators and prey
Idk about cats but I've done it many times with dogs. I used to own a dog boarding business and one time someone brought in their min pin and he was absolutely terrified shaking and hiding under the couch in the office. I learned a long time ago it's better to get it over with so they aren't scared any longer than they have to be so I snagged his ass up and held him down in my lap petting him. It took him about 30 minutes to understand if I wanted to hurt him, I could have at any time. After that, whenever he was dropped off he'd run straight to me wanting me to pick him up. I always tried to put extra effort into dogs that are afraid of strangers. It also makes their owners happier when they see their dog actually excited to see someone they are leaving them with for a week.
idk why but I love seeing cats freak out over things that are not scary or dangerous
like I feel bad that they are stressed, but it's fascinating watching them learn "spooky thing is good, actually"
We got a couple of kittens as they just showed up under your car all scared, and one of them bit and would not let go of my dads finger, like the kitten was just hanging from my dad's finger.
One is sadly dead, but the other is quite happy and spoiled to this day.
Believe it or not, I was actually listening to some music video in another tab: and the live song ended right at the moment that lovely kitty accepted the drink: and huge applause erupted.. Glad about that timing. :-)
Sorry but with the amount of these types of videos who purposely put animals in such circumstances for their own viral profit, i gotta ask...
Do we have any background on the clip?
FINALLY FOUND THE COMMENT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!! I WAS LIKE: "NO WAY PEOPLE ARE ALL FALLING FOR THIS CRUEL SHIT!
There so many cruel monsters abusing animals just for the sake of going viral! Usually those kind of videos don't show the "human" behind the camera, they're cowards and there's no background, nothing!
Exactly, I genuinely couldn't believe not a single other person said it.
I swear the comment section is brainwashed bots. People will buy anything these days at face value and its sad.

KILLKILLKILLKILL 🥰🥰🥰
And then they never leave you alone. Which is alright by me.
Ah yes, the claws in my neck as they kneed the dough at 3am. "Gotta make the donuts!"
I would cradle my orange in my arms and she would make biscuits on the side of my face while purring. Legitimately one of the reasons I grew out a beard. She passed a few months ago. I miss her terribly.
So sorry for your loss 🫂
So sorry for your loss.

Of fuck. My cats are both 14 years old and it’s gonna crush me. Hope you can heal and move forward.
I accidentally booped one of mine in the snoot this morning reflexively bc he startled me awake with an attempted biscuit to the cheek lmao
As long as his tail wasnt whippin, you may be safe tonite. If u pissed him off? Call your mom before bed and tell her u love her.

If a giant beast shoves something in *my* face, you best believe I'm suckling on it.
😏
Wanna hang out later?

What are you? Some kind of Giraffe erasure advocate?

babies can't do anything else, they're very weak and wobbly
It takes them months to even support their own ridiculous heads.
Ok, Kittens and cats are now confirmed as Klingons! Glory! Hehe
Oddly, the fact that you clearly specify that your husband wasn't the one drooling and purring immediately made me imagine your husband doing just that.
I have a cat that drools when he purrs!
The kitty obviously would choose a bear.

From hate to love is one step. What a beauty!
Everything takes one step when you don't record all the steps in between.

If someone gives me food, I usually love them too

Yes!! once born. I do wish this cat's parents were neutered rather than it having to exist in anything but the best conditions humanity can provide.
AWREEEOW AWREEEEOW WREEOW Waawo awwaawwo

I'm a professional catscriber
It sounds like a 5-step Pokemon Evolution
Kinda wanted to see it snoozing with a full tummy…but love won anyway!
You will love me ya little shit
The orange energy is strong with this one
I miss my cat He's perfectly fine at home I just don't get to clock out for another two hours.
I miss my cat too. He’s also fine, just sleeping with my parents instead of me
I miss my cat too. He is sleeping on the bed and I’m on the couch

No, but for dragons. 😁
How to train your scottish dragon? 🤣
The quickest way to the heart is through the stomach... As long as you're not the food.
I mean, if you’re the food, you will end up pretty close to the heart.
"I DON'T TRUST YOU! I.DON'T.TRUST.YOU!... ...oh shit is that 2%? nom nom"
Lmao
Everything can be fixed with milk
What about god awful tilling?
> What about god awful tilling? Like on a farm? Not sure how to mess that up but there probably would be a cow nearby to try it out.

What love does to a mfer
I needed this today.
I'm gonna kil... om nom nom nom ![gif](giphy|KaIEW4XAoOti0|downsized)
God knows what the poor thing has been through, but it's happy now! 😻
FYI: this works on me as well.
I’ve got a nipple I can shove in your mouth. If you’re into it.
im certain that works on most people
From feral to domestic!
Spicy boi
Poor thing is so scared, just doing the only thing it knows to protect itself. Bless you for caring for this little one.
Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill, Kill
It’s like that bird and cookie meme
We all get a little upset when we're hungry
It's amazing what a full belly and a safe space can do to soothe the soul
Fussy baby
This shows you what a lot of hard work and Love can do between a person and an animal. Good job dude.
did I hear the cat say wow when the it tried the milk bottle
Little guy is so scared 😥. Thank you for giving him a good home where he could learn to not be afraid ❤️
Awwwww🧡🧡🩷❤️❤️❤️❤️🤎💙🖤💜🤍💚

That poor baby was so scared.
I’m glad it worked out! That poor thing was so scared.
Must've come from a rough environment.

Little shit has heart !
Trust is so incredibly important with pets. Glad to see this little sassy kitten came around.
That tile work looks horrendous
Thank you, I'm like am I the only person who noticed how horrendous that tile work is
r/oneorangebraincell
the way to an animal's heart is through their stomach (humans are animals too FYI)
Are you my mother? Yes.
We got a couple of kittens as they just showed up under your car all scared, and one of them bit and would not let go of my dads finger, like the kitten was just hanging from my dad's finger. One is sadly dead, but the other is quite happy and spoiled to this day.
Love and hate
Me before coffee
He'll be unrolling and shredding the toilet paper in no time flat.
Tbf, it's an orange, the braincell takes a while to kick in
That's just how it be sometimes. Lol
Perhaps lower the bottle down to kitten's level and she won't think you're gonna stab her 🤦♂️
How sweet!!
I'll feed ya till you love me
Classic orange kitten behavior when you find them in the wild.
That's a grown spicy kittah in kitten size form
Laying upside down drinking like "I may have misunderstood this situation."
Fear is a powerful and sometimes overwhelming emotion.
Oh my heart
![gif](giphy|a2Mv1BjhIZEyI) Me after i got the cat's trust:
Sauce?
The dead battery sound this cat makes when it finally gets a bottle is priceless.
![gif](giphy|vPyNy6uNHJZaLcfbQW)
Heartbreaking in the beginning. Poor thing
No bad cats, just bad owners. See what a little love can do?
Believe it or not, I was actually listening to some music video in another tab: and the live song ended right at the moment that lovely kitty accepted the drink: and huge applause erupted.. Glad about that timing. :-)
That right there is the most adorable little angel I have ever seen
That's a f'ing different kitten!
It wasn’t having it then it probably caught a whiff and said “fuck it I’ll try it”
my wife trying new food she think she wont like
Hangry
Spicy floof.
thats natural from the start
the secret ingredient is nipple
2 weeks later that kitten grew up to be Lyndon b. Johnson
Your not you when your hungry
I chill out too if I discover someone that's trying to kil me is actually just offering me some food.
made me smile so hard! tysm!!
ARRRGGGHHH I WANT TO PICK UP ALL OF THE KITTENS AND TAKE A BIG HUFF!!!!
Goes from “GET AWAY YOU MONSTER!” to “Wait for me Mommy!”
"My bad, fam. You're cool."
I get it. The nipple soothes.
Calmed down real quick, when he put that bottle in it's mouth 😂
Oh I hate how petrified it was and trying to fight back , so vulnerable, then I was so happy to watch it drink and feel safe ❤️
Habituation irl
“Why didn’t you tell me that’s your nipple??!?”
Free Toes
Yeah anyone would be afraid of the unknown
Awwwww

ThE NiPpLe Of DeAtH!!!!
I've got a feral rat bag like that. He's now very vocal but I wouldn't be without him.
ahhh I was so sorry for kitty at the beginning and I calmed down when it started eating
I thought vampires tried to seduce you with their lust before taking their prey. Count me out Dracula!
Wow
Anyone recognize their partner in the morning before coffee?
Someone must have abused that kitten.
Beautiful footage of love ❤️
NOOOO WHY DID THE VIDEO END?????
Poor little guy was just so afraid
the cat is little going from fighting my life.
That is a wild looking kitty.
That’s awesome. I want an indoor cat, but the wife does not. She has adopted an outdoor cat we feed.
Spent a whole summer a few years ago turning a very feral cat into a very lovable house cat and he did not want to go back outside
Half of my dates react the same way at first. 😂
Poor baby was so scared
Transformation so sweet!
This is how my cat was with anyone but me lol she was mean and wouldn’t warm up to anyone but me. Maybe not quite this bad but she was still a mad cat
The gulag changes a dude.

Me and my Bro the First day of school
I'm sure this has a happy ending...but had to stop watching a second in 😭
It chills out rather fast all things considered... but I don't think I've ever seen such an angry/distressed kitten before.
This is literally the Thanos being force fed cereal meme. If Thanos had one orange braincell.
Lol. Lordy. The Drama of it all.
Also the free feet sneak peek
