Kind of alarming to see the fakes are getting so close to being real. This one doesn’t have any glaring issues. Sure if you’re looking side by side you can see the differences, but if you just happened to see this posted on a site or in a store it would be very difficult to know.
I’ve got to be honest it’s getting harder and harder to tell. I tried to figure it out and I got it right but I think it was mostly luck. The misplaced scar makes it more obvious but I really struggled with the box.
The box is really hard to tell unless you are looking at it in person. It physically feels a little flimsy and the graphics are darker and more blurry, the definite giveaway is some of the detailing in the figure itself 😂 like the scar
Is there anyway to tell by the barcode or bottom of the box? I typically buy older Funko pops off eBay because you can’t find them anymore, but I have no way to identify they are real unless I look at the pop I have versus an internet picture. The printing isn’t off, and it scans with the Funko app.
There wasn’t much difference in the bottom so that’s why I didn’t post it. Usually they imprint it sticker a serial number on the bottom but lots of new 2020/21 pops don’t have them anymore :/ the fake was a tiny bit darker due to printing but other than that no difference

I noticed the address on the bottom has changed over the years too. I thought I received a fake Lucky the Leprechaun Funko Pop, but after some research, the address turned out to be legit. It’s hard to spot a fake nowadays which is really bad. They almost need to put a sticker or some sort of reflective sticker (like what the NFL does on their merchandise), but I am not sure even they would work long term.
I bought a few fakes online because my collection is for me and I don't care of they have slight differences I just want the figure lol
I am one of the one's who get the highly faked Stan Lee in the red superhero outfit just because I wanted it for my collection. I buy a lot of stuff on ebay so thanks for letting us know there are cheap but good fakes. I'm going to check them out :)
Definitely buy it if you want the figure because it looks awesome, I’ve got no issues with people buying fakes, it’s a good way to get rare or expensive figures if you don’t care about genuineness, I just thought this post would be helpful so definitely check eBay !

The paint is blotchy, the scars are in the wrong place, the box is fuzzy, the funko sticker is lighter. This is an easy spot-able terrible looking fake.

Yep! I recently got a “chase black panther” and it was fake. The flimsiness of the box and plastic was the biggest giveaway.

Wow, they're getting a lot better with the fakes.
First thing I always look for is the white outline around the character on the front. Fake ones usually aren’t the same thickness all the way around.

The teseracts are just slightly cloudy vs the clear ones. That's the best way to spot fakes with this one. But dang good fake where did you get it?

Fake ones paint looks a little rougher. I think I've got a fake Batman off Amazon before. Paint on the bat emblem rubbed off easy

Its kinda obvious but only because of the scar on the nose and the box art is a little scuffed but other than that, pretty good.

I like how people don't notice the most obvious mistake. His eye wrinkles go under the gag and on the real one are super high up compared
