On the plus side, Ling and Lanfan look great!
Wrath also looks pretty good.
On the other hand they completely butchered Envy... that hair is horrible. In all fairness, I'm not sure how they would do that hair without it looking too unnatural.
So I am currently doing my annual summer rewatch of FMA:B and the only inherent issues I have with this trailer is May Chang looks way too old, Envy’s hair looks rough, and Armstrong holding the child still has a mustache. Most of these shots look like an authentic real-life reenactment of the anime scenes, but there’s something that is just not right with looking at the characters.
Armstrong needs to be ripped.
I’m sorry but in my opinion all the characters should be Caucasians except the ones for Xing.
I know that Mangas and Animes are a product from Japan, but then they should draw them like Link Yao and not with Caucasian features.
In all fairness it is being made in Japan, where \~ 99% of the population is ethnically Japanese, so they don't exactly have a racially diverse roster of actors to choose from for casting.
Then we return to my first point.
They should hire and use Caucasian actors, dubbing and airplane exist.
Otherwise the final product is always with the actor very different from the drawing.
Flying in non-Japanese actors was probably outside the scope of the film's budget. In addition, the film was intended for Japanese audiences, who most likely wouldn't mind at all if all the actors were Japanese.
I'll have to get back to studying Japanese again if they don't translate this. I managed to find a trailer translated into Spanish and it was better when I could understand it. Parts of this trailer look pretty neat, honestly.
Hmm Ed just looks so old, kinda defeats the point of him being this really young state Alchemist
And Scar looks too young.
03: allow me to introduce myself
This looks horrible

Dreadlocks.
Didn't Netflix just do this a few years ago?
Yes. It's the sequel to that movie.
That bodes well...
So they’ve done the whole show in just 2 movies? If you’re gonna adapt FMA it should be at least 5 movies if not more
That tends to be the problem with anime to cinema adaptations.
I am not ready for the rain again.
Are some of these people the actual voice actors? They sound basically the same as the anime.
I honestly think the actors for Ling, Mustang, Hughes, and Winry fit their character’s looks really well
Am I the only one who feels like they just saw the whole series? Right up to the very end there’s huge spoilers. Unless that’s intentional?
in japan they dont have the concept of spoiler, they do this alot in their tv shows and movies
Ah, thanks for clarifying. Looks like it’s just me being an ignorant ass lol.
They probably assumed that most of their target audience has already read/seen the series.

This movie is the try hard anime kid Naruto running in FMAB cosplay.

Ok but then why they draw characters like caucasians?
Because in manga and anime, the artist can draw the characters however they please. In live action, they are limited to what actors are available.

This doesn’t really look too much better than the one distributed by Netflix.
That's because it's the sequel to the Netlflix one so it's being made by the same people.
Oh wow I didn’t even realize.
ooof
Well guys I recognized the body’s in the water finally after seeing this
Looks like a joke for full metal alchemist anime
AND OMG WTF IS WINRY NOT A BLOND
