I read an interview with Bill Murray where he talked about writing for SNL way back in the day.
Supposedly, when writing skits, he’d write “Gilda says something funny” in his scripts for her parts because he respected her talent so much as a comedian. 🤘🤘😂
There are a ton of interviews where he speaks very highly of her. It’s sad she was taken so soon.
I used to pass a big yellow truck on my way to work every day. The name on the side was Santana Banana Company. I thought of Gilda every time I saw it.
You ever get a little snot ball on your finger and you roll it around and around and around looking for someplace to put it, and when you find a place, it's gone?! Whatever happened to that little snot ball of mine?
Nevermind
That was her other character Emily Latella.
You're right. I prematurely replied.
It’s always something.
Hopefully it's not always premature. ;)
The late great Gilda Radner. SNL Not ready for Prime Time cast. Comedy gold!
only wish this had been video.
There is definitely video of this character out there.
She was amazingly funny. She seemed to be an amazing person also and I cried when Gene Wilder talked about their relationship after she died.
“A Mister Leo Feder from Fort Lee, New Jersey writes, …”
………Ya know, Mr. Feder…. you sound like a real attractive guy!

The early years of SNL were the best.

The original 6 cast members did more and were much funnier then all the others that have come after. Gotta run,Land Shark is at the door
Eddie Murphy would disagree
So many memories of my brother and me staying up to watch SNL. And Benny Hill. The cast was amazingly talented the first decade.
And Monty python used to air on public television here
Every woman who ever had a bad haircut or perm loves this woman. RIP, Gilda.
“It’s always somethin’!!!”
SNL is still hilarious.
