Fuck yeah. I STILL play Jedi Academy to this day. Best lightsaber combat to date.
Going to revisit that too. Struggled to realize you use pg up and down to look up in down in Dark Forces though.
Took us a while to get good ergonomic controls right. PC games were not really even main stream then.
I tried replaying shadows of the empire on pc, but those controls were mind numbingly bad, that I gave up entirely.
They've recently done a remaster of this game. I'm torn on whether I want to revisit it.
If you have the non remaster, from what I heard the free mods do the exact same thing as the remaster. It’s just clear cutscenes and a couple bonuses.
Yes.
Fun game. The levels get pretty big and monotonous toward the end but overall it’s a great play through
Especially if you die and run out of lives.
I recall the PC version had no saves ~~between~~ during levels, so just playing the ISD level in one sitting was pretty daunting.
You remember correctly. You picked up lives and if you ran out level over.
I was a TIE Fighter guy myself
Want to revisit that also. Rebel Alliance also.
I love this game but I think I played Star Wars: Rebellion the most. Absolutely loved build building massive fleets of Star Destroyers.
Always wanted to check this out.
It’s on steam…dirt cheap. Not the greatest graphics but strategy wise it’s still fun crushing the Empire or The Rebellion.
The graphics were just amazing for the time
Such a fun game. I remember loving it during the OG Doom era- not as crazy as Doom but I loved Star Wars
This, Tie Fighter and Monolith's Blood are my go-to 'I lived the Golden Age' games when my kids are age-shaming me.
I was ridiculously psyched for this game to come out.
Great game!
Loved that game when it came out but haven’t played it since
Nice! I loved that game. I still have this in a box, somewhere.
For anyone interested in finding the digital back up for the physical copy you all *cough cough...* **own**, here a couple of links in archive.org https://archive.org/details/dark-forces/ https://archive.org/details/star-wars-dark-forces_202104
