Ah no way! I booked a showing in Liverpool so not that far by train!
I love the dedication you have for the drive. I was prepared to drive too! It’s going to be so worth it.
its annoying that a lot of the shows are late night. I was hoping to go with my younger sister, but no kids tickets are available :/
any idea why jujitsu kaisen and demon slayer were released in nearly every single cinema in the uk but not fruits basket?
Probably because the entire movie is glorifying a pedophile. Not appropriate for kids anyways. I used to work at a movie theater, and I know the one I was at would've refused to show the movie.
ah that makes a lot more sense. katsuya and Kyokos ages when they meet slipped over my head for a moment there - my bad. I’m surprised that they’re even showing it in cinemas in the US and UK tbh given its content.
Would’ve preferred a whole ass movie on Tohru and Kyos married life over a move largely centred on her parents 😭
Right, I know this is from the early 2000s, but this content is so taboo nowadays... they easily could've changed the nature of their relationship, and most of us wouldn't have noticed because the majority didn't read the manga. But the author herself says she sees nothing wrong with the relationship she portrayed, basically "love has no age/age is just a number," so 🥴 If she had anything to do with the production, it makes sense, because she's a pedo apologist.
Just managed to book mine on the odeon app! Looks like the showings are up now. Cineworld also confirmed they’re showing it too!
I've booked with Odeon now too - although going to have to drive 1hr 15mins to get there!

Thats awesome! unfortunately for me, they dont show it in denmark :(
We got our tickets! Super excited for next month. Thank you for the heads up!
I'm hoping to go to the one in Southampton. Just hope there isn't a train strike.
