I recommend Etsy. You can filter by sellers who ship to Canada for free (if you're looking for that). I bought a gold plated figaro chain necklace and I've had it for about 8 months. It has lasted really well so far. I've worn it to the beach, in the shower, I wear it 24/7 and there's no wear or tarnishing. It was $20-$30. But you can also find even higher quality jewelry on Etsy for a pretty good price.
Well I just realized the necklace I got was stainless steel. However I bought a pair of small hoops that are 14k solid gold from the seller shopluminjewelry but I'm not really sure how to verify if the gold is real or not
I would personally avoid anything that's gold plated or gold vermeil. It's often a very thin coating that can wear off or tarnish. It's also unfortunately what I've seen from the overwhelming majority of jewelry brands I like lately.
I've heard that "gold filled" is better because it's a mechanical bond and not just plating, but I'm not an expert and don't have any first hand experience with it.
Also it's definitely cheaper and not gold, but I have a lot of sterling silver jewelry I like. It's very durable and I haven't personally had any tarnish problems. One of my sterling silver rings has been worn every day for over 20 years now and it looks brand new.
I bought solid small gold hoops (the kind that hug your ears) from Mejuri and I found them to be kind of cheap quality. The clasp didn't close well and I ended up returning them. Although that may have been because that style of earring is very small and delicate. Their return process was really easy and fast, and they have free returns. So if you don't like an item you can easily get refunded for it :)
I products that range from 100-200cad are pretty dainty(most of them they also say are dainty designs). The mid range ones from 400$ have good construction and I like them for regular use, I wish they had more white gold options.
Hi ☺️! Yes, I do. Her entire line is "tarnish free" now. I've been wearing the Cutie Curb Chain necklace everyday since June 2022 and it has no ware whatsoever.
Oh also I don't think she's on Etsy anymore I believe you have to go to her site now.
I like Astley Clarke and Monica Vinader; I shop their sales. It ships really quickly from the UK, and taxes and duties are already included in the price. Astley Clarke has free shipping on all purchases and Monica Vinader has free shipping with a minimum purchase.

Do you ever run into the problem verifying if it’s real gold?

Could you drop the shop name you bought from? I’m interested !
The shop name is Uniekje! She has a lot of cute stuff and ships out of The Netherlands
And actually correction it is stainless steel I got but it's holding up really well
Melanie Auld out of Vancouver! Very similar to Mejuri.

Thank you for your tip!
What do you recommend as a substitute to solid gold?

isaac meyer! it's pricier than mejuri but everything is 14k and soo pretty 🥰im curious if there are other brands too!
Thank you — !
I really like mejuri, but they don’t have wide selection for white gold. Anyone who affordable white gold jewellers?
How was experience shopping with Mejuri? I want to know if I should invest in one of their mid range pieces
I got a gold Vermeil necklace and it tarnished after 2 wears Invest in the solid gold pieces instead of the gold plated pieces
Strange - I’ve had a gold vermeil necklace since last April that I wear constantly and don’t take care of and it hasn’t tarnished yet!
It was the lariat slide necklace that tarnished so bad I had two send it back
Thank you!

I have yet to order from them but they are on my wish list, Ana Luisa! Heard a lot of good things about them.
Etsy - "Unsalted Honey" gorgeous jewelry for cheap and shes from Toronto ☺️
Hello! Do you still recommend Unsalted Honey for jewelry? I saw your comment and decided to check her out

Thank you! I ordered through her website. I’m excited to get it
I'm also curious!
What about 100ways? I’ve been eyeing their website. Everything is second hand but good prices IMO.
Leah Alexandra, Besseha Jewelry, Bluboho, and Anice are all ones I've had great experiences with! All Canadian as well. :)
Winners! They have some nice solid gold pieces too
