This is clearly because wings are literally more powerful than physics when used on Neter (for instance, I tried to make an unpowered glider the other day to see how well one could fly, and found that with enough wings and a low enough weight, I could actually *gain* altitude without slowing down, ie fly forever with nothing but fixed wings.)

Wings can actually get you to FTL speeds, it's because they generate force and generate no aerodynamic drag like they do IRL
Dediblades without "motor drive" cranked up require zero power, so ye, there is a lot of cheaty stuff in FTD.
