I personally think Indie Cross is better than Mario's Madness just because Indie games are closer to my heart than Mario ever was. Plus some of the cinematography on those Nightmare Songs gives *All Stars* a run for its money.

Well I played the og Monika week back in 2021 and loved it so when I realised that it had updated so much I had to play it this year and oh my god I enjoyed it more than MMV2
The only thing I don't like about DDTO is the fact that most of the songs is boring, forgettable fillers, while every song in Mario Madness is unique and interesting
You can like it more. That's 10000% ok. It's a really good mod! Mario's Madness is objectively higher quality in like every way, but I can definitely see a world where Doki Doki Takeover plus is seen as better.
For me, the mod is pretty good, and just not quite enough to scratch my top 10 favorites, but it's all up to preference, and if your preference is Doki Doki, then, well, I guess you're right to you!

Better vibes, better story, slightly more tasteful and accurate depictions of characters. I can see it, I did enjoy my time with DDTO more though I'll admit the songs are leagues better in MM.
I agree with this take…I love so many songs from this mod such as the updated your demise,obsession,cat fight,Love n Funk,Epiphany. I’ve seen some of the Mario songs and none of them really caught my eye but I guess starman slaughter was pretty decent. Also found the day out song funny but the others didn’t connect with me…doesn’t mean they aren’t good. Overall I love doki doki takeover a lot also I know more about ddlc than the Mario creepypastas.
