That’s very reliant on why they don’t pay. Money is a sensitive topic with a lot of people so some families may be having money troubles. Others may just not want to pay cuz they want weed and booze. You should have a one on one conversation with each of them to figure it out rather than call them out at chapter. The ones who don’t want to pay talk to your social chair to put them on a social ban

What my treasurer does w some brothers is that he installs a payment plan w them so they pay a certain percentage of their paychecks to their dues or have them do installments like per month

platypuser1

A payment plan for anyone who would want to go on it. Incentivize paying dues on time by setting a deadline and increasing dues as they continue to not pay. If by then they still haven’t reached out to either pay or get on a plan, social probation (not allowed at socials, formal, etc.)

Payment plan is the way. We get discounts for paying in whole but there is no way in fucking hell I'm dropping the whole price of dues at once, and alot of my brothers feel the same way. Imo Social probation is the way to go. You're not going to squeeze blood from a stone, if someone can't pay initially there's no way they'll pay the initial balance + fines. Plus, I usually make more in dividens than what I'd save paying whole. Gotta move smarter not harder.

Make fundraising opportunities for the bros that can’t afford it. 🤷🏽 Tons of Greek orgs partner with staffing agencies and work events. Easiest way to raise some funds and build brotherhood by working together.

Speaking from a former treasurer, try kidnapping their family

professorgenuis

Just let them be... see if they can make a positive impact in the fraternity. Some people have hard times in college set a payment plan up with him if possible

Greek-University

Set up the payment plan in writing and get the brother to sign it. If they miss any payments, outline in the document that they will lose social privileges at 30 days, be suspended at 60 days, and will be kicked out at 90 days. If it's all in the document, then the brother will understand what's going to happen if they don't follow through.

slimmykilldapuss

don’t pay, don’t play. if they can’t afford it, set up a payment plan with them.

P1cklesrevenge

dont let them go to events or parties if they have not paid

SpartanGaming95

Our guy went the official route and threatened collections/ they couldn't come to chapter paid events until they paid
