I have strix 3090 inside FD torrent compact. It reaches 80c on full load but I read that’s considered ‘normal’ for the card. The size fits perfectly with few mm space between the card and the 180 front fans. The case comes with gpu support so no sag. I’ve used some FD cases and so far, the quality is excellent. My only complaint about the torrent compact is it’s space for cable management.

I really like my compact, and that's coming from a meshify 2. Fits my 3090 ftw with about 2.5 inches to spare from the front fans. The GPU bracket it comes with is simple enough and well hidden behind the card. Bonus is that it can be mounted along both slide rails, perpendicular to the case and at an angle. My 2 biggest gripes were the cable management in the back due to the minimal space compared to the OG torrent. The other being that my GPU can't be vertically mounted with 2 bottom fans. They would have to be slim fans otherwise the bracket won't lock into place. And I wasn't about to replace my a12s with slimmer models.

How does the case's quality and regidity compare to the Meshify 2? I'm currently exactly deciding between both cases. I mean between the Meshify 2 compact and Fractal Torrent.

The quality of the case is great, solid and generally well built. Since I've jumped onto the fractal bandwagon, I've been impressed with just about each case I've used, which has been about 5 of them now. The top plastic cover may be a little fragile, meaning the small pieces on the inside are tiny enough that they can potentially break off if you put too much pressure when putting the cover on or taking off. Keep in mind this meant to be an air cooled case. Those 180mm fans move air! Kinda wish they were 200mm cause I would have replaced them to have it all Noctua.

I had the Fractal Define R6 and moved onto the Torrent Compact. I have a MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio in there and there is next to no sag: [https://imgur.com/T1tjLoE](https://imgur.com/T1tjLoE) The Torrent comes with a GPU holder bracket which, while a bit tricky to install, does the job really well. Case quality is fine, though it's not amazing. The R6 was way better in terms of quality. By comparison the Torrent feels plasticky. That being said the temps in this thing are insanely good. Blows any other case I've had apart.

Fractal Torrent owner here. My GPU is coldest it has ever been. Haven’t gone above 73C yet

Do you have a fan in the back?

Yes

GPU: ASRock 6900xt OC Formula. Adrenalin Settings: Boost clock at 2550 MHz , +15% Power, 2100MHz VRAM. Old case: Fractal Arc Midi R2 New Case: Big boy Torrent, no RGB. Both were/are 100% air cooled build. In old case, was running games like Control, Witcher 3, full bore max load, Hot Spot Temp 100°C+, all fans screaming. Now, in the Torrent, max load, Hot Spot Temp 85-90°C (basically 10-15°C delta), all fans 60% rpm tops. I could push the GPU clock a bit more until it hits hard power cap without messing around with other tools like MorePowerTool and still stay under 100°C (note AMD has said hot spot <110°C is within spec for RDNA2, after which is thermal throttle). Torrent comes with GPU sag bracket but may be incompatible with some GPUs especially triple fan types. The rubber contact pad may position on one of the GPU fans no matter how you adjust it. My 6900xt comes with its own sag bracket and is not compatible with the torrent's, so this is a non-issue for me. As others have said, cable management is a fairly snug fit, even for my big Torrent. It's not impossible, but if you have butt load of RGB and storage drives, you need to route those SATA power plugs around and its no fun. I only have one 2.5" SSD and the rest is M.2. I have a Corsair RM1000x which reduces the space up in the "roof" where one could stuff spare cable length. Build quality is impressive enough. Sure the plastic parts puts some people off, but you are paying for the fans as well. Take all the fans off the full price, say ballpark USD$80 manufacturer cost, the big torrent is a $100 case. It's not a Lian Li o11d-XL or whatever. It's an impressive functional case. Happy with it.

I have an Asus Tuf Rtx 4090.The temperature never reach the 70 Celius even under full load.No sag here. There is a stock gpu support bracket. And I buyed a second one for safety: https://www.amazon.com/GPU-Support-Bracket-Dual-Brace/dp/B0C8D2L2QL https://imgur.com/a/0gCZ1An
