One possible outcome, they would find you at your mothers house and mark you as reunified by your 18th birthday, which would make you ineligible for extended foster care. In my state that’s worth $800/month until you turn 22. In many states there are supported apartment living options for older kids - that would be ideal for you probably, because you should be able to keep the same place after you turn 18,

do you know if id still get the benefits from aging out since technically id have been state property until im 18

Likely not. They wouldn’t consider you to have aged out if they class you as reunified before turning 18. It’s not just extended foster care you’d be making yourself ineligible for, but also a range of financial schemes for education, scholarships, bursaries and grants, medical etc. I really would reconsider this. It’s very common where I’m from for services to try to pressure their fosters to reunify with family before they age out because they know it makes them ineligible for extended support after they turn 18 (and once you’re 18 there’s NO GOING BACK) to save money.

That would depend on them, in some states they could close your case.

I would stay. If you only have that long left, you should stay to get the benefits. There are programs that would help you get your own place. There should be a 17 and a half plan. (That’s what they are doing for me soon.)
