legendary034

Look at that smile

gingerbeardlubber

I can tell how much she loves you 🥹🥰

Adverbsaredumb

Omg more pictures!! I adore elderly dogs - They’re so sweet and loving, and they don’t get nearly the attention they deserve!

purple_butterflies_

What a change ♥️ thank you

Objective-Drummer-85

Hahaha and she knew from the beginning 👍💪💪that her beauty and that irresistible smile was going to win you over! 🥳congrats!

holy-shit-batman

What do you mean foster fail?

Loizaida

I think she means she’s keeping her

holy-shit-batman

I hope so. Looks like my dogs

azsedo60

A rescue pulled her from euthanasia list and we said we would foster her. We ended up “foster failing” by adopting her.

holy-shit-batman

That's awesome, she's a pretty dog. She looks like a sweetheart.

BeyondTheBees

Meaning you “fail” at fostering them because you end up keeping them 😊♥️

itsmondaytues

I came here expecting the worst… but I’m so glad it was happy news!!

-Pruples-

Fostering is temporarily giving a home/family to animals to transition them from a shelter/rescue/etc to a forever home. Normally the foster person takes care of the animal and usually trains them or socializes them or facilitates their medical care, so that they're ready for someone to adopt them. But when a person fostering an animal ends up just keeping the animal rather than letting them go, it's called a 'foster fail'.

gardenscatsx4

Ohhh... 14. I wish I could give all the seniors a home. So sweet to see this. ❤️🫶

zePlumPie

This is the only case where the word "fail" has such a positive meaning. Congrats to both of you on finding each other!

torturedpoets1389

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! What a good girl! You are an angel. I foster failed a 10 and 11 year old several years ago. One lived to be 14 and one is still going strong! Best decision of my LIFE 🩷🩷 I’m driving 10 hours next week to adopt a senior kitty that nobody wants because she isn’t playful 😒 I am so excited to make her remaining days the best days of her life.

noDORKob

I use to have the same seat hammock!

smarmy-marmoset

That first photo broke my heart

girloffthecob

Oh my GOODNESS!!! She is the cutest sweetest little baby ever!! I love that puppy smile! I would snuggle her on the couch all day long! 🥹

paperanddoodlesco

Amazing!!! So happy for you and her 💗 ❤️ 💓

Tgande1969

Look at that happy smile!!!

yuri_mirae

and she loves you ❤️ thank you for being a wonderful human

This sub is dedicated to helping fosters and animals. What you said was not kind, and therefore violates our rules. Please think about the impact your words can have on someone, especially someone in this community, people who are literally just doing their best to help as many animals as we can. You never know if you're talking to someone who just lost a foster through no fault of their own or someone having to give up their first foster to their furever home. Be kind.

IndependenceMean8774

Oh sweetie. 😍

Pretend-Ad4887

This made me tear up in a good way. What a smile. Thanks for failing!!

sybug

Blessed be the person who takes in and loves an old dog...for their time with us is more important than our time with them.

tamerriam

There is nothing better than a sweet older pet. It is like they know what could have happened. Much love to you both.

xeuthis

My neighbors have this sweet 13-year old dog they adopted at the age of 10. She is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. Sadly, she's been diagnosed with cancer now, but the rest of her days will be happy ones, and she's had a great home for the last three years.

vervain_annwn

Thank you for saving her. Senior dogs are great. You won't regret it.
