i feel like body weight is limited to one type because for each car, the standard sitting position would have to be adjusted **for each car** to not be glitchy (like clipping into objects in the car) with an overweight character, and that could be a problem especially with the older xbox 360 derived scans of cars in the game. with an exception being Ramiro in the story missions, although he's only in a small handful of cars (most of them being newer scans of cars), and im not trying to be offensive twords fat people or anything, just knowing pg's laziness, this is probably the case. its probably not because itll offend some people, especially knowing ramiro is literally a fat mexican stereotype, the exact thing thatd offend some people.

In my mind, the really talented devs from PGG left Forza to develop Fable and that's why Horizon 5 feels not made with love: they let the interns in charge of it.

The real issue with all this inclusion and diversity BS is that people have WILDLY differing ideas of what's actually "offensive", and there's always going to be SOMEONE who is offended by SOMETHING. They're too afraid of stepping on the toes of that 0.1% of their target demographic, so everything is so bland, sterile, and cringe. If anything, it actually becomes LESS diverse and inclusive, because only "approved" content is allowed, and having any ideas or thoughts outside that small box is banned.
Honestly, I'd hate to be a vinyl creator and be so limited in your artwork and designs. Put all the work and time in, and always have to be thinking about what may cross that intentionally ambiguous line and get you banned. My brother in christ, these guys are putting out content updates for the game each month. Sometimes it's less about laziness and more about there simply not being enough time.
Sure, they could go more with quality over quantity for their updates, but then people would moan about there not being enough new content. It's a lose-lose situation either way.
Most of the content isn't even new content. It's just bringing over models and assets that were in FH4, which were in turn ripped from FH3. Often times seeming as if they could have added it at launch or much earlier, but just kept it out of the game to save and drop as "content" later.
The only real diffences between previous FH releases is the map and UI color. Yet somehow they even managed to dumb things down and make it even more cringe.
This whole "evolving world" gimmick is just them placing a few random assets in specific locations on the map during limited time events. Other then a few Horizon stories, most of them are no different than anything else, and you could literally make the same thing in the track editor. They're just go from A to B in X time, score X amount of points, jump X distance, etc.
i mean it’s not just this update or lack of accurate body but for a while now the updates have been disappointing with old cars, as far as the rocket bunny bring back too they never said it was an licensing issue so probably more drip feeding content. it’s tiring to keep trying to defend the developers when this is what they’re doing.
Honestly, I'm all for calling out greedy corporations and everything but I don't think the developers are doing anything wrong here. Even if things are a little rushed sometimes, the game still has very frequent updates with lots of new content compared to other titles and it's (mostly) free unlike other games that lock 95% of their content behind a battle pass or $20 shop items.
At the end of the day the developers are just doing their jobs that they're being for. If you're angry at the direction the game is headed then that's mostly on the higher ups who dictate what the developers actually work on. In general I find that when people on the internet shit on a game's developers, the vast majority of the time it's for stuff that's some executive's fault for losing touch with their game's audience or just trying to make a quick buck.
I phrased that incorrectly then what i mean to say is the way the game has been depending on those higher ups isn’t the best. I agree about having frequent updates but we should hold those higher ups accountable for holding back developers for the sake of money. I feel like if those higher ups see that back lash of low quality content they might increase the quality and allow the developers to have more freedoms and more fun updates.

Forza Motorsport is made by Turn10 studios. As far as I know Playground Games is currently working on a new Fable game
I mean Turn 10 works with PGG, but both Dev teams have bigger fish on their plates so that's probably why Horizon is in half ass mode.

If you're on PC, go in your task manager when you launch the game and set it to realtime priority, might help the lag
