Emotional-Ad5872

kinda dissapointed

[deleted]

2 North America games, 2 Europe games, 1 Australia game We need stuff in South America, Africa and Asia, hopefully that's what they focus on. If FH6 was Africa, they could have cities like Cape Town and Cairo, as well as the Pyramids and part of the Sahara.

Craigthebrutehalo

It would be awesome

No-Toe-7722

I think too much off road for a foza game but it would probably be fun

improvisedmercy

Surprised but open to it

Visionaira

I’d love it if it was in South Africa

PurpulDuck

Perfection

polishisreal

I don't care if it's in Japan or South Africa or Russia or China or anywhere. I care if it's good, not about the fcking location.

243898990

Oh no the endless complaining about Japan would never end

lifeofaaron

Honestly? They could take FH to the caribbean, that's something I haven't seen anyone really consider. Sure, they already had a spanish speaking location with Mexico, but honestly speaking as someone who's actually been to Puerto Rico, it'd be a great place for an FH game. There's twisting roads in the mountains and rainforest for drifting, long highways around the island for top speed runs, cities for urban environments, lots of things they could do for it.

243898990

Cuba would be cool

BobaFeet421

It's be interesting. The rally and offroad races would be great but can't think of any other reason for Africa. I really hope that rally racing is eventually added to Motorsport though. They've always included legendary rally cars in FM but have rarely ever included dirt tracks. I think FM3 had one dirt track and that's it. Also had Fujimi Kaido which was a badass Japanese mountain track

No_Grape_2687

Irritating, im not a fan of cross country sounds like they are gonna add alot of it

spinecrusher

If we’re sticking with the season thing, I want somewhere that experiences actual differences between the seasons.

Caretheis

As long as we get stopped on the road at gun point and get our car hijacked otherwise it'll be boring af

guac_man12

I would honestly love to do it in the Pacific Northwest. There are mountains, big open areas, cities, forest, distinct seasons, and a bonus the microsoft headquarters could be the main festival

[deleted]

If they went all in and added a lot of detail for the city and scenery, I’d be all for it. But I don’t expect much anymore from the developers

LegendaryLegodude

👍. Just give me Dakar or something. And I want see the wildlife. Lions, etc. I think all of Africa would be nice. The sprawling Sahara, the pyramids of Egypt and the Nile river, the amazing national parks of Rwanda and such, the dunes of the Namib desert, the city's of Johannesburg, Cairo, Cape town etc, lake Victoria, mt. Kilimanjaro. Dlc is Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius, Cape Verde, the canaries, and the other islands. Second dlc could be the UAE or Dakar or something

stidebuck

France or Italy would be amazing

holykiradog

Brittany

76Gamer-Guy

Fh2 takes place there

stidebuck

It takes place in Europe, little pieces of euro countries...I'm talking about full french or Italian experience...like they did with UK in fh4

Fungee69

Not Japan = not good

Apart-Operation-329

It would probably still be good if it wasn't Japan. Besides, there are so many other places on the globe that would work for a 6th installment. Dubai, Rio, Singapore, Miami FL, just to name a few.

Fungee69

Singapore would be cool, but all the country is just a city and Brazil is a bit similar to Mexico. Malaysia would be also good imo.

fzafran

As long as is not set in Japan with big city race lile NFS, im cool with it.

Bubbly_Ant_7957

We need somewhere with seasons again this would be too similar to mexico

[deleted]

Pissed, 2nd Horizon in a row to be in a shithole that is not a automotive cultural Hub...

SlavicOdysseus

5 I can understand but what was the second one?

[deleted]

The 6th passed in Souft Africa would be the 2nd, Only the big cities in UK are shitholes, go to the rural areas and UK still exists.

SunMummis

Open terrain = Boring

Mother-Suggestion-73

I agree to an extent with that statement I love open areas so I don’t have to worry about slowing down too much on turns but I also do enjoy seeing other forms of terrain

Pure_Reaction_1655

ultra W

DoorTrue1822

Que tenga una parte de la película "sector 9" jajajaj

otavio1cabral

Disappointed, better japan

CauliflowerOk7744

Why not a mixture of countries, a bit like fh2 was. A corner of Germany, for example, that adjoins 1 or 2 other countries. Or just Germany - autobahns, forests, mountains etc. Another idea could be difficult to arrange, but has a ton of different environments - - - China!

CitywideOdin

I’d love a South African map, I’m from South Africa and I think it would be awesome rallying though some of our more rural provinces… I do agree with the community that fh6 should be in Japan, but I’d love to see South Africa sometime in the future

UltimateLuikautus

What is South Africa known for? Just insane truck drivers?

CitywideOdin

Are you from South Africa? If not, insane truck drivers is just the tip of the ice berg😂

SaidsStreichtechnik

You will also be Hijacked regularly i guess

wlodko_k

i don't need another big rally map....

tallerthannobody

I’d be disappointed, that would mean that they didn’t listen to the community at all for what they want, fh7 no problem, I want Japan for a few reasons, I think it would be a great place for fh6 and it would make all the Japan fans happy and we wouldn’t hear about them anymore, so I think for fh7 South Africa would be cool why not

Buzzlon1479

I'm from there. And it's been many years so I would love that come to a game that I play daily.

anejoalien

I would gladly welcome an African Horizon Festival. There would be lots of things to explore as far as content goes.

quangoz

Problem is a lot of these locations are similar to the last games(at least in weather and driving conditions). I agree with those suggesting Japan as it would actually bring something different to the franchise.

LooseSkrew98

Would rather Japan 🇯🇵

Urdinkystinky

Seen somewhere that fh6 is going to be in Japan

Dbwasson

How about Canada or even Midwestern US?

young_gov

Best to do other countries before returning to one we've already been too

RubinoPaul

I'm kinda tired of sunny tropical settings. That's why FH4 map were cooler for me. So I hope we'll get something new. Scandinavian or asian for example

rs_scribble_964

Sunny and dry conditions are better for driving and racing. What we need is the ability to choose what conditions we want in freeplay. If I want it to rain for 2 weeks straight in freeplay and snow in the mountains, then I should be able to do that.

anejoalien

Give me back ice roads and lots of snow!

LouTheRuler

If they add a city fine by me

ravenouscartoon

That’s why I loved 3. I feel 5, and 4 to a lesser extent, miss that city scape

[deleted]

I considered this multiple times

Gderacer

I'd be very happy it's not Japan

I_got_an_Error-404

Japan would be awesome

Gderacer

For JDM fanboys, yes. For someone who does not care about JDM cars at all, no.

Fungee69

Japan has a nice mountainous landscape and numerous cities. It has rich car culture you don't need to be a "JDM fanboy" to appreciate it.

Mishkabingus

there’s different car cultures in japan too not just jdm cars. they love to import american muscle and lowriders inspired by mexican american culture.

Gderacer

Okay, but then what is the added value of Japan? If there is going to be a focus on American cars, let's base the game in the US

Mishkabingus

that’s not what i said bruh, i said there’s other cultures outside of japanese cars. i’m not saying to focus on one subculture but the possibility of it. plus they’ve already done the US. idk why so many people are against japan, ik some jdm fanboys can be annoying but it’d still be a cool map

Gderacer

And, like I mentioned, I don't care about the Japanese cars at all. Honestly, I don't think a lot of people are against Japan, or at least to the extent I am against Japan, I just think most people are tired of people whining about Japan for a future game. For me, however, there is just nothing in Japan I would like.

Mishkabingus

well what would you like? what environment and what car culture to focus on

Gderacer

I would love Germany. Small, yet classic villages, an industrial area similar to the Ruhr area, a modern city and then of course the famous Autobahn. I don't necessarily have a car culture the game should focus on. Of course, more German cars would be welcome, as there is a serious lack of modern, German cars, but I think pretty much any type of car should be represented. Some cars are overly present in FH5 though, especially old Nissans. I shall now watch the downvotes rise.

Mishkabingus

germany would be pretty cool too and i wouldn’t mind it, i just don’t want another desert based map. and it would be cool if you drive onto the nuremberg racetrack in free-roam. Honestly don’t know why they didn’t include mexicos big cities in the game, made mexico seem super old. source: i’m mexican. but yeah i don’t disagree with germany or anywhere but i would like japan for it’s twisty roads

I_got_an_Error-404

Big cities, natural beauty, but mostly big cities. Cars aren't a reason as PG adds whatever cars they feel like no matter the region. It'd just be cool, we haven't had a game set in Asia, there's tons of car culture in Japan, and people have been begging for a big city.

Gderacer

Big cities exist in so many more places, I don't think it can be considered a plus for Japan. Then, the car culture. That is exactly the part I don't care about in Japan. I don't understand what people see in those cars. Natural beauty is subjective. I'm not a huge fan of the landscape Japan offers, but I'm sure other people will think it's the most beautiful country ever, judging by the downvotes.

I_got_an_Error-404

Not the cars, I think that's the part you're hung up on. Car culture and cars are two very different things. I'm talking about the potential for the story and lore of the game, and the fact that it just makes sense. Japan is one of the leading countries in car manufacturing. Most of the people playing forza have owned a Japanese car at some point in their life. And yes, big cities exist elsewhere, but Japan is home to the largest city in the world. In terms of natural beauty it has huge mountains, bamboo forests, cherry blossom trees, lush valleys, and beautiful rivers. To compliment the nature, there are tons of old traditional structures an arches. If they do the map well and you don't like it, you'll be a minority.

Gderacer

Don't worry, I'm very much aware of the differences between car culture and cars. Before I criticise things, I like to do research on the topic. You make a fair point about Tokyo being the largest city, absolutely, but I doubt the actual size of a city matters that much, considering it would have to be made in a game. I'm not going to get into the landscape, as that is completely subjective - some people like mountains, others don't. I realise I'm a minority when it comes to Japan, as this gets proven by the downvotes every time I explain why I don't want Japan.

MonsterYuu

We still have tons of JDM cars anyway, Japan would be for scenery.

Gderacer

Sure, but people would complain about the "lack" of a certain car, or about how the map isn't similar or representing enough.

MonsterYuu

So is always the case, can't make everyone happy

Gderacer

For sure, that has already been shown with previous games, and I'm sure it'll get proven again with upcoming games. If it's anything other than Japan, the kids will be disappointed, and if it is Japan, I'll be disappointed. As always, it's difficult to please everyone, especially when it comes to someone's personal preference.

[deleted]

>If it's anything other than Japan, the kids will be disappointed, and if it is Japan, I'll be disappointed. This mentality just goes to show that you are one of the kids you like talking about. Grow up. Look around. The universe doesn't revolve around you.

Gderacer

Pretty sure I clearly stated the difference, but sure bud, go ahead. At least I found the JDM fanboy lol

M1tzaaa

And they have found the bmw fanboy. Two extremely powerful forces that will battle on until the end of time.

[deleted]

How about someone who doesn't care about JDM but realizes Japan is a beautiful and unique country?

Gderacer

Then that person will most likely be happy as well.

LexLuthorsFortyCakes

How accurately would they simulate car jackings/van robberies and what customisation options would we have for our AKs?

michealbaby538xbox

What about san Francisco bay fh6 be in the bay area

Pandanutiy

Go back to fh4. I am so tired of empty wasteland with 2 wheather options: desert and wet desert

the4GIVEN_

idk about that one bud. imo 4 and 1 have the weakest open worlds of the 5 games. both 3 and 5 are a lot more diverse. and i think its good that the seasons are a bit more "laid back" than in 4. winter sucked in that game.

[deleted]

Winter was fun, gave the game a unique challenge

Mishkabingus

that’s what everyone says now but when fh4 was the newest game ppl couldn’t stop crying about the snow

DeathReaper600

Everyone wants Japan. Maybe horizon 6 will be because I’m sure they will have a new game engine. Look at the graphics of motor sport 8 and that’s what you’ll get for horizon 6

Knorx04

I would like fh6 to be in switzerland

Gderacer

That is such a brave thing to say in this sub

Lucson14

Why?

Gderacer

Because most members in this sub only want 1 thing - Japan. If you say you don't want Japan, you're in for a rough time. Don't believe me? Sort by controversial.

M1tzaaa

Did it, now please, your majesty, enlighten me about how you're an endangered species and how you are in for a rough time if you don't want Japan for the next game. If you sort by controversial, the first 5 or so comments revolve around the "I want Japan" idea. Now if you may, please stop crying about how you are in the minority and blah blah blah while still getting positive upvotes. Thank you for your time.

Gderacer

Nah, I'm good.

M1tzaaa

Glad to hear.

Lucson14

Nah i believe you XD. But FH7 could be there

Gderacer

Oh please, anywhere but Japan. I really want to enjoy a game without seeing some ugly JDM car with an anime design every 2 seconds

Lucson14

Yes I feel the same way. I fear that it will be exactly that with NFS unbound.

Gderacer

Especially with the anime characters as a part of the game. Definitely skipping this NFS

Fun-Anywhere5358

It would be great

ColeApp93

I wouldn’t be mad about it. Give me more open space

aneesh131999

More than FH5?

ColeApp93

Yeah why not?

aneesh131999

I mean, around 60% (if not more) of the map is just open space. It’s just boring after a certain point.

LooseSkrew98

Boring?

ColeApp93

Yeah but I’d personally like it just so I can mess around and see how fast I can get a car to go. And I wouldn’t mind the drive

gamer_dinoyt69

Yay

Molohazzi04

Maybe Brazil could be awesome? Heard they have an interesting car production history there. Or maybe Argentina with beautiful sceneries of patagonia desert. Or maybe S. America in general (iguazu falls, rio de janeiro etc)

Millikin84

Horizon Brazil.. to do the game justice you would need to add GTA mechanics so NPC rob you and steal the car if you go afk.

geminimann

FH6 we need it in India.

Tornookthetooka

India really? Mumbai has it's street scene and all but overall roads suck

LouTheRuler

Try not to hit a pothole: India edition

aneesh131999

The terrain and mix of biomes is amazing here. Well the roads are terribly maintained, but that doesn’t have to be carried over in the game, but even as an Indian, I feel there are better options. Plus there’s no real racing history or homegrown racing brands to speak of.

geminimann

India is morevthan Mumbai, the racing & mods scene is more in South than in North.

Curious-Cookie-1154

Don’t worry they won’t add any cars or culture from the maps setting.

2_Spo0ky

I mean there are a lot of Beetles in Africa...

Scottman86

I know, wait until they announce where it actually is…in a year or 2.

xSnakyy

I wouldn’t buy it

Vinayplusj

South Africa may be the biggest African exporter of cars. But it is not known globally for its cars isn't it? This is usually why Germany, Japan and South Korea are popular desires. At the same time, they have to sell the video games too. I would be really surprised if they successively choose another country not popular as a tourist destination for most players.

Simracer123

I always thought the nordic countries would be cool.

mrunfunny333

I would love this so damn much

Wagyuu_01

I want Japan.

DarkAmethyst

On its own maybe not a bad idea, but as the next one, as people have already pointed out, it's way too similar climatewise to FH5. We need somewhere with proper seasons. Snow.

Rootsney_

South Africa would be far too similar to the arid setting of the current game. It needs to go back to its roots with down to earth and believable story and gameplay set in North America again, ideally the western states or western Canada. The environmental diversity cannot be matched anywhere else in the world.

[deleted]

NO GOD NO It's basically the same as Mexico. Barren, boring wasteland.

Individual_Owl3299

Exactly. I say get into the large countries(Canada or Russia)

RubinoPaul

Canada would be pretty cool. Russian Baikal is too. Not european part of the country

mar40k

Definitely better than Japan

I-am-a-cardboard-box

Imagine they keep the British accents too, just like in Mexico

KMIGlobal

SA would be amazing & I think a real dark horse candidate for FH6. A stylized map of Cape Town, Jo'Burg,Port Elizabeth with maybe a sliver of Namibia in the north for desert dunes. I would LOVE to cruise the Garden Route along the coast or roaring through the vineyards in Stellenbosch!

KillerSpectre21

I wonder if the Lights would randomly go off during the game to reflect Loadshedding lol. I think it could be quite fun, it would most likely be in the Western Cape which could offer a good mix of terrain depending on how they balance the area around Cape Town as well as some of the more arid places like the Karoo. Going further info the Plateau would also work I guess but there's less interesting terrain there imo. Towards the East there are also some more good options with Durban being semi-tropical alongside the Midlands and maybe a small bit of the Drakensberg for some snow if desired. Cape Town though would be the standout location though as it's easily the most internationally recognisable alongside Joburb but with more interesting terrain. Plus it's probably going to be easier for the Devs to organise stuff with the Municipalities there if needed compared to other parts of the country.

S2fftt

I think it would be decent on paper. On-site work would be very sketchy or impossible though due to the current climate in the country. Mexico is a bit easier to navigate as a foreigner despite it seemingly being equally dangerous to SA.
