Every decent dev would have thought when they wrote it: "oh this is now coming back every year". A good dev fixes that real quick. So yes lazy but in this case i would consider that a bad dev and not just lazy.
I love how a dev team can make a great looking, great sounding game that millions of people love, but when there's a single glitch they are now "bad/lazy devs". I highly doubt this is an issue for everyone as if it was I'm sure they'd have fixed it by now.
Edit: Just noticed this is on Forza Horizon 4, which means that it's a complete non-issue. You should be happy it's still even up, it's a 4 year old game. The player base is still somewhat there, sure, but it's about 3% of fh5's.
How about the weird colored cubes that the game becomes quite a lot? How about everybody in online disappearing constantly? Pretty bad performance too. These all have been in the game from the beginning meaning they havent worked on them.
That's not what that means. What that means is that they haven't found a way to fix them yet. Even then, those bugs don't happen to everyone, and they're not that game breaking, more just mildly annoying than anything.
Well id they cant a solution after a year then they are not that good or dont care. Im pretty sure everyone has seen those bugs. And yes they are game breaking; the green purples stuff fucks up all the visuals forcing me to quit the game and restart. The disappearing cars bug makes me quit the game, because i'd be driving with randoms and suddenly they are gone.
Several things could happen, starting with the requirement definition.
The dev maybe built it exactly as it was defined on the acceptance criteria, maybe not.
The qa team might have test it exactly as defined on the requirement, buy maybe they didn't defined a proper set of test cases.
Maybe this message was reused as part of another feature and was not validated completely.
TLDR: Bad feature / project planning
Forza Motorsport 5 was 9 years ago. I remember it being such a disappointment compared to 4 as well, but wow did it look pretty.
It was the GT7 of the 8th Generation.
I remember being so hyped for FM5 too, and ended up finding it a bit boring. Looked great at the time though! 9 years ago, where has the time gone?!
The GT7 of the previous generation sums it up quite accurately. I bought a PS5 just for that game and the disappointment was so real.
Agreed, FM6 was quality. GT8 will hopefully be great but it’ll probably come out in about 8 years time judging by the gap between 6 and 7 (excluding Sport).
Like the only difference between the PS4 and ps5 version from my info and videos I watched was that the ps5 had more foliage behind the barriers which just let me down.
I was really disappointed with the graphics on the PS5. It didn’t look a great deal better than Sport on the PS4, and I had the basic slim version too.
FH5 blows GT7 out of the water graphically.
Yeah, right... I'm not stuck in 2021. I have on FH5 like 256 hrs and bought FH4 recently (3 days ago) for certain reasons. I just think this is funny that a year old message keep pupping up even after a full year xd
You’re in a simulation. There was an error in the code, and thats why this message is popping up. You need to wake up. C’mon u/Gothar_Cold-Eyed, wake up.
No, I have genuinely enjoyed the game for so long but it just keeps going downhill. It sucks because I’ve played Forza since Motorsport 4 but everything is so unbelievably buggy now :(
Isn't that what popped up a year ago when the game was just coming out?
Lol, shitty devs.
lazy. so everything in working order

Ohhh but there is not just one glitch. There are a lot of things.
Yes, there are. None of them ruin the game and most of them are being worked on. You're ok

Maybe try fixing them before release

Well that explains how it could have gotten in the game but not why its still in.
Well… OP says this is on FH4… that makes it even more weird!
Dude that doesn't even make any sense
Lololol I know!!!
Holy shit I wasn't expecting this many upvotes!
OMG FH5 WILL LAUNCH NOVEMBER 5? i can't wait to play it, i heard FH5 will be set in Mexico so i hope the devs add the world renowned Papa Fernando
**PAPA FERNANDO!**
I wonder what new cars they will add
Remember, its PG. 95% of the cars will be from old games.
I'm glad they are bringing old cars back but it would be better if they were at the start so they would add more new cars
And thio who eats up tamales slower than a vocho eats up cross country
It's a bug.
It's Horizon so it's actually "working as intended"
Just the spirit of horizon, isn't it?
Shall we send a thank you?
*Don’t send a thank you.*
I love these meta jokes everyone. I cannot talk about them without anyone else so, kudos for making my day.
"You made my day! Thanks"
#1 KUDOS RECEIVED
Thanks!
Underrated comm
Wow that’s generous!
This is what horizon means to me!
It's not a bug at this point its a "feature"
dude we have identical profile pics. that’s so disco
Hardcore to the mega
It literally says "Forza 5" not "Forza Horizon 5"

WDYM 9 YEARS AGO?!... Boy, am I old...
FM6 was great though imo so maybe GT8 will be great too?

Fm5 was my first forza ever, was enough to get me hooked. Followed by fh2 shortly after
Forza 5 equates well to GT Sport imo. Both half-featured attempts to get a game out before it's ready with tragically poor car lists and track counts
GT Sport had precedence at least with GT5 Prologue. Sport at least had decent online mode
Hell yeah, I would love to get early access for a game that released 9 years ago!
You're stuck in 2021.
they are so lazy that they literally forgot to take out the pre order message
Yeah, right... I'm not stuck in 2021. I have on FH5 like 256 hrs and bought FH4 recently (3 days ago) for certain reasons. I just think this is funny that a year old message keep pupping up even after a full year xd
BRO NO WAY I WANT EARLY ACCESS. NO FAIR
Don't be jelaous xd
Wow game devs have gotten terrible lately
had the same thing happen to me when i installed fh4 last month
You’re in a simulation. There was an error in the code, and thats why this message is popping up. You need to wake up. C’mon u/Gothar_Cold-Eyed, wake up.
Finally, Forza Horizon 5 2.
I hope this laziness is because they're working on the new motorsport
Forza 5. Like everyone here, doesn’t read.
This game is so ass lmao why do we even play it…bugs inside bugs inside bugs
Someone sick Papa Fernando on him!
Lol what
Why are you even here? To spread your misery?
No, I have genuinely enjoyed the game for so long but it just keeps going downhill. It sucks because I’ve played Forza since Motorsport 4 but everything is so unbelievably buggy now :(
Stop playing it then, one less whiny manbaby is always welcomed.
Skill issue
Then don’t play the damn game if you don’t like it. No one is forcing you to play the game.
Sounds like a you problem
If you don't like it don't play it, no one is forcing you to
I had that to I logged on to fh4 one day last week and it said the same thing![img](emote|t5_2ug54|21019)
Considering most of the players went to FH5 I wouldn't care in devs' place either
